A new photo every day. Most of the photo’s will be posted on the day they are taken but that may not always be possible – best laid plans and all that.
Today is my 600th post – and my last on this blog. I’m finding it difficult to post a photo every day and as this blog is called “24 hour photo”, I think it’s time to call it a day. I will be starting a new blog in the next few weeks – one where I’m not tied down to posting a photo each day. Once it is set up I will post a link here and hopefully you’ll pop over for a look!
Cheers and thanks for all your support and lovely comments!
Simon
A humourous photo to finish with. This is David sunbathing (get it?). The photo was taken in the early 90’s.
This photo was taken in 2009 at the G20 protests in London.
Sorry that I haven’t posted for the last couple of days – been very busy! I went down to London on the overnight bus to photograph Margaret Thatcher’s funeral procession. I arrived in London at 6:50 am and caught the bus back that night at 11:00 pm. I arrived home at around 7:00 am the next morning and I was shattered! Then on Friday I had to do the food shopping and in the evening I was working on my pigeon project. This morning I drove to Appleby to photograph the liberation of 1772 pigeons and then called in at Carlisle on the way home to do a bit of street photography.
Three years ago today our wee cat Willow died. She was a great cat – full of life and personality – and we still miss her.
This photo was taken several years ago at Victoria Baths in Manchester. I went there with a group of large format photographers one Saturday with the express purpose of making photographs. The photo was made using an Ebony 45S and (if memory serves me correctly) a 90mm Rodenstock lens.
This was taken in The 13th Note – a vegetarian pub on the corner of Osbourne and King Street in Glasgow. Jenny and I popped in there a week ago for our dinner before the opening night of our exhibition.
This photo is from a few years ago. I was waiting at Lockerbie station for Jenny to come and pick me up when I saw this white cat wandering about. When it walked in front of this car I couldn’t resist taking a photo – does anyone get the (rather weak) joke?
This was taken from the stairwell of the Euro Hostel on Clyde Street. Looks rather bleak, doesn’t it?
Back to the urban/street photography! This was the parking building where we parked the car during our stay in Glasgow. As you can see it was a lovely sunny day – which makes a nice change!
