Windows 7 has been launched in Beta version. I have posted about this operating system in here, so in this chance I will not explain you abut this operating system.

For this operating system the minimum recommended hardware are:

• 1 GHz 32-bit or 64-bit processor

• 1 GB of system memory

• 16 GB of available disk space

• Internet access (to download the Beta and get updates)

Notebook vs Netbook

Recently producers of laptop made a kind of it that's name Netbook. Yeah, in this chance I am going to try explaining about differences Notebook(laptop) and Netbook(small laptop). So guys, check it out:

Netbook:
1. Smaller than notebook
2. Light weight
3. Low cost
4. Energy efficient
5. Primarily used for browsing, email or instant messaging.
6. For other application, suitable for Office

Notebook:

1. Bigger than netbook, until 17''
2. Heavy weight
3. Costly
4. Primarily used for many things to do, designing, netting, gaming (but don't play until 2 hours/day)

Example from netbook such as Acer Aspire One, ASUS Eee PC 900, ASUS Eee PC 700, HP 2133 Mini-Note PC. For Indonesian people you can get it from 4-5 million rupiahs, it depend on from USD.

How to Protect Your Password

We often find our password was cracked, I have some tips in order your password be safe.

• Avoid wear or default password; Make sure your password built by combination number, symbol and other character
  
• Never share your password with other; Maybe you have special friend, don't tell to him/her too.
  
• Beware social engineering. Example from this case is relationship each other have to be keeped.
  
  
• Authorized person enter only; make sure that you know person that always close with you

Flash disk, absolutely it's one of storage thing that very useful for us. Simple and then can save file up to 16 gigabyte. But this thing is so easy to be broken. So in this chance, I'm going to tell you, how to take care of flash disk. I have this article from detikhot. So guys, check it out.

My friends often ask me how to download video in youtube.com, ehm at the first time I answered "It can't". So, I tried to ask my other friend, her name Triana, She told me that you can do it in keepvid.com. But my instructure told me that you can download with a software, unfortunately I forgot the name from the software so. I only tell you from keepvid.com


STEP 1
You should open youtube.com and then you search video that you want. After that you copy the video's link.

STEP 2
Open keepvid.com in other tab of your browser. Paste the link into box. Click download in order you can save it into FLV or MP4 format.

STEP 3

New Feature of Windows 7

Now, the next generation of Windows™ is still developed by Microsoft. There are several menu or item that we'll meet:

• Calculator will be better than before.
• Ribbon feature from Office 2007 would be adopted at WordPad and Ms. Paint
• Access control will not disturb
• My Documents that in Vista is Documents will be Libraries
• Control Panel will have System Tray Control
• Media Player will perform easily and not heavy to play video
• Internet Explorer 8 will be included.

Tips Using and Take Care of LCD Monitor

These are several tips to use and take care of LCD monitor:

• Look the temperature and humidifing of weather. The best temperature is at between 66-77 Celsius. Use air conditioner or fan in your room.
  
• Your room have to be clean. LCD was very sensitive with dust.
• When you clean the monitor, make sure that you have turned off from electricity. Don't use cleaning oil directly.
• Be careful when you move LCD to other places. Remember, LCD was made from glass.
  
• Don't try to open the LCD, if you don't understand about it. Give it to specialist one.
• Keep away from other electric thing, like hand phone etc.

Recently Google have launched their new browser for us. Its name's CHROME. This browser is so unique and not heavy. I like the theme so simple and the color is blue.

I think, there are so many people that don't know about menu and tools at Microsoft Office 2007. For that I have the solution. We can install ClassicMenu.

What's this? It's a software that support Ms. Office 2007 in order can show menu as same as Microsoft Office 2003. I think it's very useful for newbie. You can find this software in here. Just try and install. It's easy, isn't it?

Speed Up Computer at Start Up&Windows Explorer

I think the best way in order your computer faster in start up are

1. Don't save unimportant data on desktop

2. Don't use high resolution wallpaper

3. Uncheck unused application at msconifg startup(click run and type msconfig)

We also often feel bored when windows are opened, it's lagging to view the icon, and we always see the icon process.

I have a solution to avoid this problem;

At Windows Explorer, enter to folder options from tools. Click view and uncheck Automatically Search For Network Folders and Printers.

Update Plurk and Friends Using Ping.fm (with Yahoo Messenger)

Recently, there are so many website that spoil us to update our activity, its name microblogging. Maybe I can mention some, such as Plurk, Twitter, Jaiku, etc. We can update them by using Ping.fm in one time. At this time I will give u tutorial to update Ping.fm using Instant Messenger, yahoo messenger. As you know Ping.fm can be updated by using sms, but my friend, Alamster has written the way at this blog.

1. Absolutely, you have registered at Ping.fm (i will not explain it, you can see at Alamster's Blog)

2. Set up your plurk and your twitter at Ping.









3. Go to Service/Tools, choose Yahoo Messenger. Click it, directly you will get your verification code like the sample below

4. Add your Yahoo Messenger, add bot of Ping.fm. Its user is pingdotfm.

5. After this send your verification code to pingdotfm.

6. So you can update your microblogging with Y!M, just chat with pingdotfm

Restore Our Hidding Data

Sometimes my drive or flashdisk was infected by virus. Usually my data hide from listing if we see them from windows explorer. Don't worry they was not lost but virus have made them be hidden. Follow this way, hopely your data will be back

1. Klik start and go to run (type cmd --> enter) or from start --> accesories -->command prompt
2. For example your hidding data are from local disk D, so you must type like this(look at picture)

move from drive C to D by type D: (enter).
3. at D type attrib -r -a -s -h /s /d (enter), wait a minute until the process has been done.
4. Check your data!! Type dir to see all your data.

5. If you want try at your flashdisk just change the drive, such as to E: or F:, whereever its location

Oke, If you are lucky you can get back your data.

How to install a font under Windows ?

Unzip the files you have downloaded.Details : Click on the "Download" button, save the zip somewhere on your hard disk, go to the place where it is saved, double-click on the zip to open it, then either click on "Extraxt all files" or drag and drop the files elsewhere from the zip window (hold down the CTRL key to select several files at once)For the 20th century versions of Windows you must install an unzip tool first.

Under Windows Vista :Select the font files (.ttf, .otf or .fon) then Right-click > Install
Under any version of Windows :Place the font files (.ttf, .otf or .fon) into the Fonts folder, usually C:\Windows\Fonts or C:\WINNT\Fonts (can be reached as well by the Start Menu > Control Panel > Appearance and Themes > Fonts). Note that with the internal unzip tool of Windows (unlike Winzip), you cannot install a font by a simple drag and drop of the .ttf from the zip window to the Fonts window. You must first drag and drop it anywhere (for example on the desktop) then in the Fonts folder.You can also go through : File > Install a new font... in the Fonts folder menu then browse the fonts, instead of drag and drop the fonts into the window. Although this method is laborious, it would seem that it functions better in certain cases.

Tip : if you punctually need a font, you don't need to install it. Just double-click on the .ttf file, and while the preview window is opened you can use it in most of the programs you'll launch (apart from a few exceptions like OpenOffice).
