Abby's Christmas

Abby said her first sentence yesterday. Ben left to go take out the garbage. Abby lifted up her arms in a shrug and asked "where Dada go?" she repeated it every time he would leave. It was really cute.
Our Christmas has been filled with lots of friends and family. We are a little partied out but enjoyed seeing everyone. Abby thoroughly enjoyed herself today. Kids make the holiday's so fun.

Merry Christmas

Well I never got around to sending out our family letter so this will have to do. I'll make it short.

For Ben this year he graduated from BYU with his Masters Degree in Information Systems. He won a Competition at School which got him him his current job at Omniture. He really enjoys what he does. It is great to have real insurance and retirement benefits. 

Abby turned 1.  She has been walking for a few months. Her favorite food is bananas (or nanas as she calls them.She has learned a few animals sounds. She keeps us laughing and on our toes. In fact her favorite game is to sneak up and try to eat our toes. She thinks its hilarious. We think it is disgusting. She is to smart for her own good sometimes. 

I am enjoying staying home with Abby. I am 16 weeks pregnant a gradually feeling a little better. This baby seem pretty active, just like abby was. We will find out what we are having on Jan 24. I hope by next year I will have furthered my dream of public stem cell banking a little further (but thats a whole other topic). We like our ward and neighbors but will hopefully be living in a new place next year.

Omniture Christmas Party

Ben's work had their annual Christmas Party. It was at the Grand American Hotel in Salt Lake. It was a Black Tie event. Ben looked so handsome in his tux. Ben's sister Kati did my hair which I received a lot of compliments on. Thanks Kate! They had a live band, a wonderful dinner and gave away a bunch of prizes. It was fun to get dresses up. Ben also was chosen as Employee of the Quart and received a cash prize. Way to go Baby!

Snow Day

Abby played in the snow for the first time on Saturday. We got about 5 inches of snow. Her favorite thing to do is make snow angles. I got cold before she did. Maybe we will try for a snowman next time.

Laycee's Blessing

Baby Laycee was blessed on Dec 2nd. She looked so pretty in her dress. Both the Cochran and Hopkin sides were there. We had a yummy lunch after at Nate an Brooklynn's.

Nauvoo Girls

Last night was our Annual Nauvoo Friend Christmas Party. We decorated sugar cookies, talked and ate lots of yummy food. I thought I had brought my camera but I apparently only had the case. So sorry no pictures. It was so fun to see everyone and swap mom/wife stories. I can't wait until our Valentine's Party.

Happy Thanksgiving.

We had a great Thanksgiving. My step siblings came with their spouses and kids. Abby had a fun time playing with them. We had Thanksgiving dinner up at Sundance. No dishes!!!!! We brought our Wii over to the house to play and everyone seemed to have fun. We survived a family picture :) Ben went to his friends annual LAN Party (Nerd party where they play computer games all day).

We went up to Temple Square to see the lights. We watched the BYU vs. Utah Game. Go Cougars!











On Sunday we had Thanksgiving at the Robison's. Ben's sister Lori had her baby on Friday. We enjoyed or time with family and friends. 

Brandon and the Marines

My little brother Brandon enlisted in the Marine Reserve. He goes to boot camp in San Diego Jan. 14th for 12 weeks. He will be in the LEV Charley company from Salt Lake City. We are all worried for him but this is something he has felt he needed to do for many years. Keep him in your prayers.

He has a really cute girlfriend. Her name is Camille. She is from Texas. She did live in Orem for a few years and Played on Mountain Views Tennis Team. They are really cute together. He had seen her in a friends picture a few years ago and thought she was really cute. A year after he got back from his mission a friend set him up on a blind date and it was her. :)

Abby's Birthday and Other News

Today we celebrated abby's 1st Birthday! She had a great time digging into her cup cakes and opening all her fun gifts. We also told everyone that Abby will be a big sister June 6 2008. We are very excited.

Halloween

Abby had her first Halloween. She dressed up as a lion. We had 3 parties, one and the Cochran's, the Robison's and the Ward Trunk-or-Treat. She had a great time playing with her cousins and grandparents. She got us a good stash of sweets. :)
