As I was visiting Cambodia I saw many thing really developed through the very good plan of the government. Almost three semesters here in Limkokwing Malaysia, I feel so exhausted with responsibility of stuff who take care about students visa. Not all cambodia student who meet the problem but for all nation who come to study here. Every semester I can see that at least there are three or four students who did their global classroom here they meet their problem about visa. First they allow them to come here with the tourism visa then they start to process the student visa for us. But why they don ask all student before they come here to make their visa approval first then let students come here freely without any obstacle?

Soon ago, Cambodian government was not allowed one Indian project which want to build another Angkor Wat temple in India. Just my own idea because it could effect to the original temple and also tourism attraction because if they build it maybe tourism do not want to see a real Angkor Want when they travel to India. So my question is:

SHOULD WE CLAIM BACK A SMALL ARCHITECTURE OF ANGKOR WAT TEMPLE WHICH IS LOCATED IN THAI ROYAL PALCE IF WE ARE NOT ALLOWED INDIA TO BUILT ANOTHER TEMPLE IN INDIA?

As my own thought as I also Cambodian Citizen, I think that we should stop or suggest to Thai King to return or destroy another temple of Angkor Wat which is stand in Thai Royal Palace. Because Thai also cold not build our temple in their palace as well. Sometime if they has some bad guides who told tourism when they visit Thai Royal Palace that those building before belong to them but they lost it during war in the past time so we do not know. Because right now there many Thai people they are confusing histories.

A moment  while i was sitting and eating supper with my friend, we de had a chit chat about something that were happened in the past time and we came up with many questions and some misunderstanding about the past also. The first thing that we was talking are about many old building from the past time and still have until now. But some of them they were paint new colors to it and make it look very fake to the eyes (difficult to see it) but some they did not change it and most of them are in Phnom Penh. And we raised up a question:

Why they do not keep it as an old building and protect it as a treasure  for our country? 

I will show you some examples of old buildings that they did change for a new look:

1- Did you remember an old light tower a long the Mekong River in Kampong Cham Province near Kizuna Bridge? This tower was changed from the old style of French Architecture to a new weird looking.

We discussed and asked many question to each other. Do they want to develop to make tourism attraction or they change it because they want to add some interesting color to it or what? There are so many questions but no one could not answer it until we ask the people who gave an idea and money to change this one. The old one better or the new one look better? I am trying to find the old picture of this building next time for you guys to compare it. But this time i could not search and look for it because there is no picture beside the new one! And my friend came up with the silly idea to ask me. Why they do not paint Angkor Wat  to get a new look it a tower in Kampong Cham? When I heard this question I feel so wrong with the idea of changed to the tower which i was mention early.

This is just a small example to let you know about what we need to change or what we are not. For example if we keep the old style of the building for architecture student to study about it, how important it is? But if they have a reason because this building is old and dangerous and it nearly fall down so why they did not try to find other ways to protect it with the same style by not keep it and did not doing anything with it. As I saw the old building in other countries, they try to keep it  and build the protection which do not let it fall down.

But I also do happy with the old building in Phnom Penh most of them they did not change  and keep the shape and also the style of the build. For a good example of the building during French colonial:

1- UNESCO building nowadays

2- MAYBANK head quarter  in Phnom Penh

So before you want to change anything that related to the past and memories such as the old french style building in Phnom Penh you must think it is suitable to change or not?
