Two months in Persia

        This log details 2 months discovering my love’s homeland, a largely undiscovered and little known country by westerners. Arya is an experienced traveler who shares taste and habits with me so I knew from the start that I couldn’t have any negative outcomes from this discovery. If you don’t know about Persian culture, this is an opportunity to learn. Even if you do, you’re welcome to enjoy a window seat from my point of view.

Note that the calendar in Iran is based on the Sun. The months are therefore based on the equinoxes.

KEY TO THE CURRENCY

Currency in Iran is a little complicated. What you read on the currency is in Rial although one Rial is 1/10 of the currency used verbally. Verbally in Iran they speak of Toman which is fixed at 10x the value of the Rial and, at the time of our travel, was approximately 1/4000 Euro or 1/3000 Dollar.
