I AM BACK
A wealthy man and his son loved to collect rare works of art. They had
everything in their collection, from Picasso to Raphael. They would
often sit together and admire the great works of art.
When the Vietnam conflict broke out, the son went to war. He was very
courageous and died in battle while rescuing another soldier. The
father was notified and grieved deeply for his only son.
About a month later, just before Christmas, there was a knock at the door.
A young man stood at the door with a
large package in his hands.
He said, ‘Sir, you don’t know me, but I am the soldier for whom your
son gave his life. He saved many lives that day, and he was carrying
me to safety when a bullet struck him in the heart and he died
instantly… He often talked about you, and your love for art.’ The
young man held out this package. ‘I know this isn’t much. I’m not
really a great artist, but I think your son would have wanted you to
have this.’
The father opened the package. It was a portrait of his son, painted by the
young
man. He stared in awe at the way the soldier had captured the
personality of his son in the painting. The father was so drawn to the
eyes that his own eyes welled up with tears. He thanked the young man
and offered to pay him for the picture.. ‘Oh, no sir, I could never
repay what your son did for me. It’s a gift.’
The father hung the portrait over his mantle. Every time visitors came
to his home he took them to see the portrait of his son before he
showed them any of the other great works he had collected.
The man died a few months later. There was to be a great auction of
his paintings. Many influential people gathered, excited over seeing
the great paintings and having an opportunity to purchase one for
their collection.
On the platform sat the painting of the son. The auctioneer pounded
his gavel. ‘We will start the bidding with this picture of the son.
Who will bid for this picture?’
There was silence…
Then a voice in the back of the room shouted, ‘We want to see the
famous paintings. Skip this one.’
But the auctioneer persisted. ‘Will somebody bid for this painting?
Who will start the bidding? $100, $200?’
Another voice angrily. ‘We didn’t come to see this painting. We came
to see the Van Gogh’s, the Rembrandts. Get on with the Real bids!’
But still the auctioneer continued. ‘The son! The son! Who’ll take the son?’
Finally, a voice came from the very back of the room. It was the
longtime gardener of the man and his son. ‘I’ll give $10 for the
painting…’ Being a poor man, it was all he could afford.
‘We have $10, who will bid $20?’
‘Give it to him for $10. Let’s see the masters.’
The crowd was becoming angry. They didn’t want the picture of the son.
They wanted the more worthy investments for their collections.
The auctioneer pounded the gavel.. ‘Going once, twice, SOLD for $10!’
A man sitting on the second row shouted, ‘Now let’s get on with the
collection!’
The auctioneer laid down his gavel. ‘I’m sorry, the auction is over.’
‘What about the paintings?’
‘I am sorry. When I was called to conduct this auction, I was told of
a secret stipulation in the will… I was not allowed to reveal that
stipulation until this time. Only the painting of the son would be
auctioned. Whoever bought that painting would inherit the entire
estate, including the paintings.
The man who took the son gets everything!
FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, WHO SO EVER
BELIEVETH, SHALL HAVE ETERNAL LIFE…THAT’S LOVE
Grace/ Confess your sins on line

San Rocco. Castagnole Piemonte. Torino Rev. Vincenzo Aiosa
These words from the poem “I Am There” by James Dillet Freeman beautifully describe God’s grace in action.
Do you need me? I am there. You cannot see Me, yet I am the light you see by. You cannot hear Me, yet I speak through your voice. You cannot feel Me, yet I am the power at work in your hands.
God’s grace is constant and true, providing all I could ever ask for, and more. Grace is at work within me and around me. It is the light that illumines my path, the wisdom that guides my thoughts and actions, and the power that fills me with strength and peace.

Saint Roch (Rocco)
Patron Saint of Invalids, Bachelors, Dogs, Knee Problems, Surgeons, Tile Makers
“St. Roch (Rocco) was a French noble who early developed a sympathy for the poor and sick. While on pilgrimage St. Roch encountered an area afflicted with plague. He stayed to minister to the sick, and affected several miraculous cures, but contracted the plague himself. He walked into a forest to die, but was befriended by a dog. The dog fed him with food stolen from his master’s table, and Roch eventually recovered.
When Roch returned to France, he was charged with spying. He languished in jail for five years, never mentioning his noble connections, cared for by an angel until his death; when he was identified by a birthmark in the form of a cross on his chest.
He is known as St. Rocco in Italy and St. Roque in Spain.”
Feast Day: August 16
Sometimes I forget to take care of my body, but my body never forgets to take care of me. It spontaneously pumps blood, digests food, inhales and exhales air. I am amazed by the workings of my body. It renews itself and responds to my choices, whether I realize it or not.
Life is in motion within me. I feel divine life flowing through me as I stop for a moment and pay attention to it. I stretch my muscles. I feel energized and renewed.
I make conscious choices which affect the health and vitality of my body. When I lie down at the end of the day, I bless my body from head to toe. I thank God for my life and health. I am the embodiment of divine life.
World Peace / Confess your sins for a buck
Friday, March 26, 2010
We all desire to see a peaceful world, but what can I, as one person, do to bring it about? I know that for peace to occur, I must cultivate peace in my heart and mind each day. I help create peace on a global level when I am on good terms with my neighbor, my partner, my employer and members of my family. As I find inner peace at home, it expands across the world.
Peace is my natural state. It comes from within me, not outside me. When I forgive myself and others, peace flows easily through my entire being. When I release any ill will against a perceived enemy, I feel peace instead of anger and hostility. As I consciously give peace a chance, all around me is transformed.

…i’m really getting the hang of this now and must say its enhanced my quality of life way beyond the buck you pay per sin. This way I can plan my Saturday nights better as I know I can sin throughout the night and the next morning just pay off the tab, say about $15 for a good night, less for a quieter one. After all I pay the barman a buck per drink so to think that I can go to work on Monday with a cleansed soul and conscience for a few measly $$$ makes the sinning all the more enjoyable…

Brings me back to my childhood when my mother and grandmother use to drag me to church, and to take communion we had to confess our sins, of course my sin were to grave to tell that antipatico of the priest so I lied and told him what he wanted to hear. Lies on top of Lies that is the Catholicism I Know.
