The whole thing is somewhat reminiscent of the disputes between different Protestant sects, or the rivalries between Moscow and Beijing communists, or the enmity between Stalin and Trotsky. Now there is a similar dispute between different factions of the LGBT sect.

About a week after a radical left-wing terrorist attack in the depths of winter paralysed the power supply to several districts of Berlin for several days, costing several lives and endangering many more, clues to the perpetrators are emerging. As was to be expected, these are not found by the official investigating authorities, which are under the supervision of politicians whose sympathies for left-wing extremism are no secret, but by independent journalists, who apparently find out more in a few days than the police have in many years. Interestingly, there also appears to be a certain ideological and organisational affinity between the suspected terrorists and the haters and detractors of AGENDA EUROPE.

Yesterday, we wrote that Europeans owe the US administration a debt of gratitude for taking action against the censorship regime established by the European Commission and certain governments. It seems that Europe is once again unable to preserve democracy and human rights in the long term, but needs help from Uncle Sam. And when the governments of England, Germany and France are now indignantly protesting that they do not need any lectures on democracy from outside, the response must be: yes, they do need some lecturing, and urgently!
To illustrate the current situation, here is a case that recently occurred in Germany – one of many that are currently happening there without much media coverage. It is important to note that Germany – under the chancellorship of the former Stasi informant ‘IM Erika’, of course – has pioneered the introduction of an internet censorship regime with the so-called ‘ Netzwerkdurchsetzungsgesetz’ (Network Enforcement Act). The outsourcing of censorship activities to left-wing non-governmental organisations, which are financed by taxpayers’ money but are not bound by any procedural and rule-of-law standards, was first tested in Germany before being rolled out across the continent in the guise of the EU’s ‘Digital Services Act’.

The concerns about the threat to freedom of expression in Europe, already expressed in spring by US Vice President JD Vance in his speech at the Munich Security Conference, and the reaffirmation of these concerns in the recently published National Security Strategy, were not empty words. Now these words have been followed by action: with the unprecedented decision to sanction former EU Commissioner Thierry Bréton and four representatives of so-called ‘non-governmental organisations’, which are in fact inofficial government agencies financed by taxpayers’ money and tasked with cracking down on expressions of opinion on the internet that are unwelcome to the respective governments or the European Union, a completely new tone has been set in transatlantic relations. A kind of Cold War has broken out between the current US administration and the European power elites, with the battle lines drawn over the interpretation of shared values. The means employed in this conflict – the €120 million fine imposed by the European Commission on X (formerly Twitter), Elon Musk’s flat refusal to pay this fine, and the entry bans against representatives of the EU’s speech police imposed by the US – are not yet bloody, but they have enormous potential for escalation.

The US Supreme Court’s refusal to hear a case seeking to overturn the highly controversial 2016 Obergefell v. Hodges decision and the fabricated ‘right to gay marriage’ is regrettable but understandable. The petition was filed on behalf of Kentucky clerk Kim Davis, who spent several days in jail for her conscientious refusal to assist in the perverse ceremony. The Supreme Court did not provide detailed reasons for its decision not to hear the case.
Opponents of same-sex marriage should not give up, nor be discouraged, nor should they be tempted to doubt the correctness of their position. However, they must learn to think through their own position more carefully. Once this happens, cases will be found that are better suited than that of Ms Davis to bring about a change in jurisprudence, as has already been achieved in the abortion issue.

With 358 votes in favor, 202 against and 79 abstentions, the European Parliament has adopted a legally non-binding resolution to lend support to the highly controversial pro-abortion citizens’ initiative ” My Voice, My Choice”.
This vote further damages the already poor reputation of Parliament. It is a denigration of democracy because, on the one hand, it celebrates the abhorrent initiative for “an unprecedented movement across Europe, bringing together diverse citizens, especially young people”, while ignoring the uncontestable fact that back in 2014 the ECI One of Us had collected a far greater number of signatures in support of the opposite aim, requesting the EU to abstain from financing the murder of children before birth, irresponsibly and misleadingly labeled by political ideologies as a legitimate “choice”. Furthermore, the motion tramples on the Rule of Law and on the EU Treaties, ignoring the fact that the petition brought forward by “My Voice, My Choice” is calling on the EU and its institution to violate both.

The European Union has suffered a highly significant defeat on one of its core ideological positions, “Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity”, in the UN General Assembly. The Assembly voted 81-77 on a motion sponsored by Egypt to remove ideological “sexual orientation” language from a UN document on the human rights of people with mental disabilities. Including the reference on “sexual orientation and gender identity”, which has no basis in serious-minded science, into the text would have exposed vulnerable persons to pressures, often stemming from ideological reasons, to undergo sex reassignment surgery.

The speech given by Commissioner Hadja Lahbib (who has no jurisdiction in this matter) at the hearing on the ECI “My Voice, My Choice” in the European Parliament suggests that this Commissioner is ideologically very close to the abortion lobby and will do everything in her power to ensure that the European Commission, within the scope of its powers and even far beyond, accommodates the concerns of this truly abhorrent initiative to finance abortion tourism between EU Member States with funds from the EU budget.
This raises the question: what can Member States do if they do not want to accept that the Commission uses the Community budget, to which they themselves contribute, to counteract important fundamental value judgements that they have made within the framework of their democratic legislation?

The recent decision by the European Court of Justice in the case of Wojewoda Mazowiecki (C-713/23), ridiculously asserting that Poland is by law obliged to recognise same-sex ‘marriages’ concluded in other Member States, is a brazen abuse of the powers granted to the Court by the EU Treaties. Not only does it flagrantly violate the principle of subsidiarity enshrined in the EU Treaties and the division of competences between the EU and its Member States, but, even more seriously, it also disregards the most palpable anthropological realities and the most basic moral principles. The Court of Justice is thus becoming the standard-bearer of an overt anti-morality, undermining Europe’s actual values in the name of an abstruse surrogate set of “EU values” that is not shared by many Europeans.

The speech given by US Vice President JD Vance at this year’s Munich Security Conference, in which he rhetorically asked which “values” exactly the EU thought it was defendin, and warned that if European governments were afraid of their own citizens there would be nothing that the US could do to help them, was like a thunderclap that the European leaders present heard but would chose to ignore. However, anyone who thought that the storm brewing in the West would blow over on its own has been proven wrong by the new US National Security Strategy, which was published this week.
This paper now definitively marks the tectonic shift in transatlantic relations that was already apparent in Munich. The US – or at least the current administration – no longer sees the EU and its member states as partners, but as ideological opponents, and wonders why it should actually support them in security crises. A certain sentimentality on the part of many Americans towards Europe, where their ancestors came from, and a certain residual awareness of together being ‘the West’ is acknowledged, but overall Europe is seen as a political, economic and civilisational problem zone.
