12/14/2017 There was an issue with audio files not playing properly on mobile devices. Seems to be an Internet connection related issue. The site had been made private as of tonight. Thank you.
12/13/2017 Site Maintenance Notice: The Word Press Crew has asked me to unblock the site temporarily so that they could look into a glitch. The site will be made private again, as soon as they are done.
I’m amazed at the flood of requests for access to my site – thank you all, returning and new followers! Special thanks to my dear friend Meridian for her beautiful post. This epic journey that started over six years ago is now finally over. I shed a few tears as I typed those two words, THE END. Yes, I totally did. It’s a new era in my life, now that the tale is told, and Sookie and Eric get to walk into the light. They so deserve it…
Part 2 of final chapter of Die Tonight; Rule Tomorrow is here. 死の歌 , pronounced Shi No Uta, means Song of Death in Japanese, according to Internet translators. If anyone knows Japanese and finds this translation incorrect, let me know.
There are four soundtracks in this chapter. I know not all of you like listening to them while reading. Even if you normally don’t, the last piece in the end is worth it. It’s also in a way a goodbye to Sookie and Eric. I want to thank all of you who have been with me all these years, kept reading, signed up for the restricted blog, and reviewed. I often turn to your comments as a constant source of inspiration, so thank you.
When I typed THE END, it was a profound moment, sad, but also a moment of achievement and pride that I finished this project. For you. For myself.
Grab your headphones and enjoy the last piece to this story…
Chapter 27 has exceeded 20K. It’s packed with information, and I felt it’d be best to split it, for a better reader experience. I am posting the first part tonight. The second is part pending a couple of edit reads and art work/soundrack selection. It will be up in a week.
11/27/2017 Quick update: Hugs and more hugs to you, patient reader. For those who follow me on Twitter this won’t come as news: I expect to post the first part of the final chapter by the end of this week. Ch 27 has reached 20K, and it’s packed with tons of events, revelations, and new twists (for you to ponder if you ever feel like it). So, it only makes sense for me to chop it in two, to avoid reader’s indigestion. As always, I’ll be adding artwork and (because I like it, because I write for myself as much as I write for you) several soundtracks.
You still have time to drop a line with a question or request to address a particular story line or tie a loose end. I’m only human, after all, and I’m afraid I’ve grown rather forgetful…
Original post:
I’ve been writing almost every night. I must say I’m happy with the progress so far, at 14K words. Because my brain is sleep deprived, it takes me longer to edit/polish the first couple of drafts, but the chapter is almost finished, with two – three scenes to go. Unless there’s a demand for an epilogue, I won’t be writing it.
Now, I’ve left you hanging in there for a very VERY long time. Below, you’ll find a teeny-tine sneak peek into what I’m working on right now. Also, there may be a few soundtracks to the chapter that I am debating whether to include or not, but I really wanted to share this particular one with you. It goes with the artwork which is also a cover for Ivan Torrent album Reverie.
Enjoy.

Empathy by Carlos Quevedo
The Russian leaned closer and dropped a very light kiss on the top of my head. “Thank you, my sister.”
“Is she the Ra?” Eric asked, watching one of the ancients – a tall woman turned in her teen years.
“Yes.”
She looked normal, at least to me. Two legs. Two arms. Two dark eyes. Nothing resembling a bird’s head.
“She appeared to the second Egyptian dynasty, to have them build the sites for the blood bank,” Vlad kept on, more out of need to fill the silence than anything else, as I suspected.
“You mean the pyramids?” I asked.
He hummed. “They used to carve royal tombs into a rock, but the Order helped change that. By the third dynasty, they were able to build fully formed pyramids – humans during day, vampires during night. King Djoser’s was the first in the series of tests, about five thousand years ago. The Order pulled out by the end of the dynasty’s reign after the experiments’ failure. The ruling class had been glamoured from the beginning, of course. But somehow stories – rumors, rather – spun for decades about Ra’s longevity and influence.”
“Can’t glamour the whole population, I guess.”
“Not really. By the fifth dynasty, they changed her sex, gave a falcon head – maybe because she can levitate, who knows – and worshiped her as the noon sun.”
“You know, the Order has one fudged up definition of ‘observe’.”
“They don’t take credit for worldly stuff,” Vlad replied dryly.
I have surpassed the 5.5K mark on Chapter 27, and now I’m getting into the juicier part of it. So excited! I’ve been envisioning the next few scenes for ages, and all that’s been in my head for months and years is about to get spilled on a virtual paper.

I truly and utterly suck when it comes to posting and updating my story. So, here’s my apology to you, guys, in a form of a preview of what’s cookin’:
SPOV
“You didn’t have to come.” I took Dermot’s hand. The clan had started gathering, and being around so much death couldn’t be good for him. “Your call would’ve been enough.”
“I bear no gifts,” he said, “but I felt compelled to bid you and Eric a bloodless night.”
“I’ve got this,” came to me my husband’s mantra. “Eric and I have got this.”
“I also decided to speak to him… while at your house.” Continue reading →
Here I am, crawling out on shaky legs from underneath a big, heavy, stinky rock and into the light. My RL, as suck-y as it has been (and probably will continue to be) changed yet again about a month ago, though I don’t know for how long. I have been actively cleaning my house from top to bottom since then, clearing out closets, throwing away stuff like, physically and mentally. A lot of room opened up, including in my restless, stressed out, fucked up, weirdo brain. Sookie and Eric jumped right in. “Welcome!!!” I yelled with joy, grabbed my laptop, settled on top of my bed, and promptly fell asleep. Fucking idiot.
Moving on. I have managed to write an opening scene for the next chapter. A tiny scene, but, hey, given I have written zilch in over a year, these 500 words are a cause for celebration. What’s really important is that I’m getting into the writing mood/mode, and the characters are talking to me again, and I can finally hear them!!
I have a new, additional source of inspiration, and tons of ideas for my original spin-offs come to me when I listen to Ivan Torrent’s Reverie album. Epic music is still my thing, so for those who like my selection of soundtracks, here is a nice, soothing chill:
Don’t know about sneak peeks. It all depends on how much time I’ll have to write, but now that I’m getting back on track, I’ll try to squeeze as many words out of my gray cells as I can.
Please note: I’ll be restricting the blog again, soon.
If you feel like sharing what’s up with you, please go ahead. I’ll be glad to catch up with you 🙂

The final chapter of DTRT is not ready yet (I know, I know, you can kill me now… but you’ll have to get in line for that), BUT things seem to slowly turn around for me. I have a game plan, you see. So, I wish you patience with yours truly, and my best to all the nominees!
Actually I am on vacation and I meant to get this up before I left but I got way to busy. But Here is a survey to see if anyone has any interest in my continuing the You Want Blood Awards.
To our soldiers – our fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, sons, and daughters:
On this day, let us celebrate those who serve to protect our freedom and many liberties. Let us not argue politics but thank those who put their lives in danger to ensure our children’s safety. Let us remember many lives lost, and all the lives changed forever by those losses. Let us not wish a ‘happy’ Memorial Day, but wish those who stand willingly for the rest of us to persevere and to return home in one piece.
I found this clip (based on Assassin’s Creed Unity and Assassin’s Creed 2 video games) on youtube, and decided to share it with you since it features one of my favorite musical works. If you follow DTRT and listen to the soundtracks I post, you probably know my preference of (obsession with) EDM, classical, and more recently epic music. Continue reading →
