Only 6 days after we arrived back in germany from our holiday in romania we had the „old“question again:“

-darling, what we do on weekend?“. It wasnt a long discution and we had the answer: WE NEED HOLIDAY !!! We just looked a little bit on the map and decided that we go to france and visit Nancy.  France we are coming!!!

On the next day i searched on internet for a hotel. This was a little bit difficult cause we said our dog comes with us. But i found one and called there to make a reservation: The man spoke just a little bit english and i asked myself: He really made everything right?  😆 He understood what i wanted? We dont want to sleep in the car! But at the end it was everything ok.

On Friday after i finished work and arrived at home,my wife packed already the bags and made sandwiches for the trip. I was so proud of her.  😀 In this way, i changed only my clothes, put the bags in the car, took the  lucky too and LETS GO!!!

Only 3 and a half hours later we arrived, a little bit tired, in the hotel in nancy. The reservation was made ok, and when we saw our room, our first impresion was: This cant be true ! 😯  In the pictures it looked like the double size,but it doesent matter,it will be ok.Tired and happy to be there, we went to bed.

The next morning, wake up at 8:00.We took  breakfast and wanted to  see the town.The breakfast was called“petit dejeuner“ and,what can i say, it realy was small. 😆 After this we walked to the old city,was easy to find;follow only the main street,no problem.When we arrived at the old market-place we were so surprised,what a lovely place:the old buildings, statues and the golden-gates,pretty nice.I went to the tourist-office and took fast a map of the town and some informations. After this fast a coffee on the market-place and then started our 5 hours walk to discover the town.

We saw so many nice buildings,shops and so on.It was realy interesting.After our walk we went back to the hotel to sleep one hour.Lucky couldnt any more,i think she thought“ why i have to walk in one day more than in the hole week?“ After we had our recover-time, we went back to the town to eat in a restaurant.We found one pretty nice and wanted the menu:“you have the menu in english or german?“—„no“—ok, no problem for us,we understood nothing on the card,so what we do?—Easy answer: We order something and hope its not a frog: Surpisemenu!!!  😆 And we had luck,we had swordfish- and pig-menu and it was one of the best food we ever ate. After this we went back to the market-place,cause at 10.00 pm there starts every evening a big event: they turned of all the lights and made a big cinema-show on one of the big buildings in the music and video style of historic-art. We were impressed of this.Lovely,i dont have words to descripe it.A little bit more walking through the town and than,tired back to the hotel.

Today morning again wake up, have breakfast and than back to germany. It was a lovely weekend and we are sure: it wasnt the first and not the last „short holiday“. Because what can i say: Life is too short,discover the world and enjoy it.

When i saw that my wife was writting on her blog, i was a little bit jelous. But after we were in Romania and met with her blogfriends, i thought this is something for me too,cause i have some nice storys to tell too. And i was surprised to meet with such nice people.But about this i will write later.
