The Halcyon System, with HyperSight, is a Varian® product part of the Siemens® Health-ineers group and largely focuses on radiotherapy and radiosurgery treatment technology for cancer. Bringing this advanced form of radiation treatment to the Longview center was a multi-million dollar project that was part of its recent expansion and remodel, according to Dr. Joseph “Chip” Hodges, a radiation oncologist at Texas Oncology. The project was several years in the making.

NASA’s Voyager 1 spacecraft has experienced a computer glitch that’s causing a bit of a communication breakdown between the 46-year-old probe and its mission team on Earth.
Engineers are currently trying to solve the issue as the aging spacecraft explores uncharted cosmic territory along the outer reaches of the solar system.
