call res.setContentType("text/html") in your servlet before writing into
the stream .

Sorry, I screwed up the original post...

We're using jserv very heavily, load balanced across four servers, with a lot of database connectivity. One problem I'm seeing a lot of, especially in the new 1.0b4 version, are errors like the following:

[Wed May 5 14:46:35 1999] [error] [client 206.52.138.190] Premature end of script headers: /trans/form.cgi

/trans is one of our aliased servlet directories.
/form.cgi is an aliased servlet.

I know we're outputting the correct headers, because the servlet works fine for a while and then bombs with this type of error. It used to happen once or twice a day, but with the upgrade to 1.0b4 it seems to be happening much more often.

Could this be a memory issue? Some other OS related issue? We're running RedHat 5.2 with the Blackdown jdk 1.1.7. Any insight would be appreciated.
