Christ in You

Long time no post. Mea culpa.

Around here, we read thru psalms and proverbs every month. The proverbs part is fairly straight forward. Most months, 31 days and 31 chapters. But the psalms are 150, with 119 being super long at 176 verses.

For psalms, I just count 5 per day until i get to day 24. That one will be 116-118… skip 119… and add 120. Psalm 119 gets its own day on the 25th, then instart the 5 a day again until the end.

This forms the backbone or beginning of my Bible reading, not my study time, but just my reading thru the Bible on a daily.

I get to psalm 2 vs 1-4 and ask, rhetorically of course, with the psalmist… WHY? Why do people who have no interest at all in Christ or the Bible in general spend sooo much of their time, energy and efforts to ‘bash’, troll and harass those who do?

But then I remember you, Lord draw all men (women too) unto yourself as we lift you up in their sight. “Throw a rock into a pack of dogs and the one that helps the loudest is the one that got hit” as the old saying goes. 

I won’t tolerate your insults and trolling and mocking in the comments… but please DO keep reading. Your continued ‘efforts’ just demonstrate to me that God is working to “convict or sin, righteousness and judgement to come” with your mind and conscience.

Things that are Different… are NOT the Same

What a difference a year can make. Target is pushing American Pride now. Of course the new administration is not pushing Pride Month, but what happened to all those large corporations, including the one I work for, who were shoving Pride down your throats in the month of June last year and for the last four years especially?

Mostly silent… as they should be.

When your whole identity and value and self worth and security comes from who you sleep with and how you do what you do when you do it… You’re the Pervert, not us. And companies… sans Governmental Pressure to comply and conform (or else)… consider the vast majority or Americans either don’t care or vehemently disagree with what you take Pride is… they’d rather make money and not Pi$$ off paying customers.

Do What you do… Who you do… How you do it… but don’t feel the insecure need to make US part of it by declaring your Bedroom Proclivities, requiring US to approve and “Advocate” and “Ally” with you in something that rightly should be only between you and your partner.

It’s Perverse to do so. That’s not Pride, it’s Insecure and Fascistic. Just stop… like the companies and our government has. If you really are Proud, have your Pride to yourself, whether anyone agrees and supports you or not. Because the vast majority of us… Don’t.

Thank God for the recent demise of the Perverted Pride Month 2025.

Who said Christians are afraid of thinking? Not me. I read and listen to a lot of things and sources that don’t necessarily agree with me nor do I necessarily agree with them.

The key is to have your “grounding” in God, Jesus and scripture to be able to evaluate and discern truth from lies, error from Reality.

“Think on these things…” is a command and an encouragement to measure all things by Christ and His Word.
