Maxine Therese
Welcome the latest additional to the family! We were expecting baby Max after another week but fate had other plans. Somewhat like Leon's, our doctor dictated Max's birthday as well so to speak. Checked in at MPH, it was just us two (Thess) most of the day, mostly waiting - partly sleeping. Everything went well and didn't take as long as Leon's journey. I felt Maxine took to her new environment fairly quick I guess - there wasn't much crying and she was content to sleep rather than make a fuss. Having seen her already from past scans, she looked exactly how we expected her - chubby cheeks and all. After making sure Thess and Max were safely back in the room, I went home to pick up the siblings to meet their new sister. Vivian wouldn't even consider waiting for the day after to see Max - the prospect of having a mini-viv was too much to pass up. Leon was understandably curious the whole time with this new being making weird noises but was just happy to see his mum after (almost) a whole day's absence.
We were all back home by the end of the second day. We could've spent another night at the (luxurious) MPH - it was already paid for anyway - but we all just preferred going home and sleep in our own beds.

Still feels unreal. We are five-strong now. How much more exciting can it get...:)
