Joanne’s first BodyTalk session

It’s so exciting and inspiring to read the comments for the cortices post. Thanks everyone!

Talking of cortices, I just tapped out mine at the hospital with Joanne. Joanne is my friends mom. She recently fell and fractured her pelvis. She is in Mount Sinai hospital and they can’t really do anything for her. I am making a documentary about her recovery with BodyTalk. Today was her first session ever- and she looked so much brighter when we finished. I am so happy to be able support her process and to be able to share it.

BodyTalk is incredible for really helping people move more quickly through the healing process. Simply by getting the body to be more in harmony with itself. It’s simple, effortless, fun and inspiring! Tap into a world of possibilities. (and out of “oh, it’s just age related. There’s nothing you can do about it”). Yes, anything can change, and heal and grow- we just need to hold the space for ‘miricles’ to happen. (Miricle being somthing that we don’t understand, or is out of our current reality.)

Tap out your cortices!

If everyone in the world knew how to balance their cortices, then the world would be a happier place! :-) Balancing the cortices (which is the outside layer of the brain), helps to bring the body out of fight or flight (sympathetic nervous system) and into rest and relaxation (parasympathetic)- which in turn means that we can grow and heal far more efficiently. When we get stuck in fight or flight, it doesn’t allow our body’s to really be able to apply enough resources to our vital processes of healing and growing.

When you tap out the cortices, it helps to bring the whole body and brain back into a state where it can start healing again. Amazing for first aid situations, when you can’t get to sleep, you’re in shock…. (the list is endless!)

Stay tuned for more cool cortices stories… (and please share your below).

If you don’t know how to balance your cortices, then please get in touch, and I’ll let you know how to learn.

Sessions for myself!

When I do BodyTalk I very often hear myself saying “Listen up Laura, you need to hear this too!” As things come up for my clients, I am recognizing their importance to me too. I will say things that I need to hear- and remind myself of. It’s really cool. After all, every time you give a BodyTalk session, you are receiving one as well. It’s all about awareness.

Congratulations new CBPs!!!

Congratulations to our 4 new Certified BodyTalk Practitioners- Ann, Heidi, Kim & Christy. (Pic of Christy is coming later!) You studied and practiced hard, and all the hard work has definitely paid off. Not only are you all very confident excellent practitioners, you have also all grown immensely in this process. It’s been amazing to watch. I am going to be very happy to refer you clients. I’m looking forward to seeing all of your amazing results documented on our blog. Let’s share the wonder of BodyTalk with the world! :-)
