For many years I have played my bass guitar and I have had the honor of backing up some of the “biggest” names in music. Finally, I feel a great sense of “acknowledgment” in receiving an “endorsement” from Michael Tobias Design bass (MTD). I “absolutely LOVE” my 6 string and my story will only get “greater” from here. Thank you so much for this “prestigious” honor…

Brett Jolly’s Thought for Today (Tired of all this political gangster stuff?)

I am sick of hearing about shootings, the left vs the right, tariffs, and just about everything else they are shoving down our throats. This is my group (The Brett Jolly Xperience) performing a Phoebe Snow classic at the Philadelphia City Winery. When the world is on fire it is good to listen to live music. I an the one wearing red suspenders:) Have a great day:

Brett Jolly’s Thought for today (Have you noticed?)

Maybe it’s just me, but has anyone else noticed the “emptiness around the country? First I saw a video clip of Las Vegas, Nevada, a place where normally LOTS of activity happens. In the clip I saw the city looked “practically deserted.” There used to be TONS of people in attendance, but for some reason it seemed “desolate.” Maybe it has picked up recently. A couple of times this summer I went to Atlantic City, New Jersey. There is usually a “LOT” of activity in this area. There were people there, but it paled significantly in comparison to the huge crowds I used to see every summer. Also, on the way to AC I would normally see “A LOT” of billboards advertising big name performers performing at certain casinos. There were some, but not many at all (and for a summer in AC that it not good at all). I don’t know if AC and Vegas are on a decline, but it sure “feels” that way. Also I went to several malls in the Philadelphia and surrounding areas and they “really” seemed empty. Years ago huge crowds would always be seen there, but this felt so different. It wasn’t just one mall, but several. Is this a sign? Can someone tell me if this is a result of the economy or something else? There have been other things that seem “so different now.” I could be hallucinating, but I honestly don’t think so. Please let me know if you feel the same.
