Review: 75440 AT-AT

Posted by ,

I have enjoyed the Starship Collection to date, especially the capital ships never represented in LEGO form before. However, memorable ground vehicles arguably belong in this series too, even though the name suggests otherwise. Its major purpose is to recreate classic Star Wars vehicles at a small scale, after all.

75440 AT-AT therefore dispenses with the usual Starship Collection branding and I think the Imperial Walker looks excellent at this scale. The attached Snowspeeder is a neat detail as well, adding a splash of colour, so this should be an impressive display piece.

LEGO Crocs: More information

Posted by ,

More information about LEGO's partnership with Crocs that we first reported on earlier has now been published, including images that clearly show how ridiculous and impractical they will be.

Disappointingly, for those anticipating a new element for the accompanying minifigure's footwear, its shoes are simply made using a pair of plates.

--

BROOMFIELD, Colo., Jan. 23, 2026 – Crocs (NASDAQ: CROX), a world leader in innovative casual footwear for all, today announced a multi-year global partnership with the LEGO Group bringing together two icons of self-expression and originality.

In the playful partnership, Crocs and the LEGO Group are coming together to create something that’s anything but ordinary. Together, the two brands are building a new world of creativity – one that celebrates limitless ways to stand out and break the mould. The collaboration pairs Crocs’ bold spirit with the LEGO Group’s boundless imagination, resulting in a unique fan experience that only these two brands can create together.

Review: 11503 Flower Wall

Posted by ,

If your house is anything like mine where every available horizontal surface is covered with vases and pots of brick-built flowers, you will no doubt appreciate 11503 Flower Wall, which provides another way to display them, mounted on a vertical surface, of which you probably have more.

Unusually, LEGO sent two of the set for us to review, but it turns out there's a good reason.

LEGO teased another large-scale Mario Kart on social media yesterday, to accompany last year's 72037 Mario & Standard Kart.

Not much can be seen, but it's clear that it's Luigi's and its design is quite different from that of his brother's.

View the teaser after the break.

Review: 75689 Emerald City & Kiamo Ko Castle

Posted by ,

We’ve come a long way from the flourishing friendship of 75683 Glinda & Elphaba's Dormitory, to a world where the two witches live far apart in their respective high towers—one atop precipitous cliffs and the other in the Wizard’s domain.

Their microscale exteriors hide minifigure-scale playset interiors, as they're very compact and full of hidden secrets.

I’ve enlisted the help of my wife and resident minidoll fan, Catherine (CrankyBricks), to explore the LEGO Wicked sets. Over to her after the break…

Review: 71508 Fox Guardian Mech

Posted by ,

Continuing our look at this year's five DREAMZzz sets, we're moving onto 71508 Fox Guardian Mech. Sitting in the middle of the range, the set's almost-900 pieces promise two fox-themed builds in a vibrant green-and-gold colour scheme that reminds me of the Wizard of Oz's great city.

A fox has not appeared in the DREAMZzz line up before, despite many previous animal builds. Both variations are excellent, and the minifigure selection has one particular standout design too!

Review: 75688 Glinda's Wedding Day

Posted by ,

If you don’t recall a wedding being part of the plot for this story, you’re not alone—in the original book and stage versions, the equivalent to this scene is an engagement party for Glinda and Fiyero, while for the latest movie, it’s now the wedding itself.

I’ve enlisted the help of my wife and resident minidoll fan, Catherine (CrankyBricks), to explore the LEGO Wicked sets. Over to her after the break…
