What important life lesson did you learn from your father?
Abandoning your son for the formative years of his life has a very profound effect on his development. It's a great way to ensure he will grow up shy and ashamed to be a bastard.
You're going on your dream vacation and you can only take one gadget with you. Camera, music player, cell phone, laptop or something else – what do you bring and why? Which other ones would you miss most?

I would prefer to only take my camera. I really enjoy photography. Although, if this were an actual situation, I'd have to take my cell phone. My camera can't call for help if something bad happens.
What's the worst job you've ever had?
Telemarketer for a cemetery. All cold calls. We would just go through the phone book and call everyone and ask if they wanted to meet with a salesperson to discuss their burial needs. It did not go well. I got yelled at frequently. Eventually, I started just pretending to make the calls — I'd dial all but the last digit and then pretend to get yelled at for a minute before hanging up. Good times.
Have you ever had to manage people at your job? If so, what was the hardest thing about it? If not, would you ever want to manage people?
One of my previous jobs was as a manager of a photo lab. I didn't like being the bad guy. I liked everyone there and we had a lot of fun, but every now and then I had to yell at someone. I had to fire someone I liked once. It sucked. But I also got to fire someone I didn't like. That was better 🙂
Overall, I enjoy being in charge. Well, I don't know if I enjoy it as much as I just feel comfortable with it. I tend to take control of most situations subconsciously. Indecision bothers me, so if there is a lull, I try to get people focused and active again. I suppose I am goal-oriented. I need to have a destination in mind and constantly be working towards achieving it. It drives my wife crazy. She hates going to the mall with me. When we decide to go from one store to another, everything between my current location and my destination no longer exists for me, except as an obstacle. I don't see the doodads on the table, I see something to walk around. I don't see the old friend from high school, I see another body on the escalator and begin calculating if it would be faster to use the stairs. She gets pretty frustrated that our quiet Saturday doing nothing becomes a mad dash from place to place.
Well, that certainly got off topic.
If you have to give up either peanut butter or jam and jelly for the rest of your life, which one would you choose?
Jam/Jelly.
Peanut butter is used in way more things that I eat.
What are your thoughts on the Health Care Reform Bill that the House passed on Sunday?
I think there will be lots of new faces in the House of Misrepresentatives this fall.
What would you like to be said about you at your funeral?
"It's amazing that someone could live for fifty thousand years and still look 30. Hold on. He's getting up! He's not dead! It's a miracle! Here's hoping the next fifty thousand are just as remarkable."
