Well the new blog is finally up and running, just afew more minor tweaks to do!
Ill be keeping this blog “Alive” in the sense that the name will still be reserved, to keep those pesky people away that would try to steal it and do naughty things! Should also clear up any confusion as to where i am.

Just another quick update (As i really dont have alot to do apart from empty the bucket every now and then)
The move has been pushed back and hourish, check back around 7pm GMT and we should of moved by then, also, just a great note to end this on, we have hit a new record! 30 Views in one day! (Previous was 26) Would just like to thank everyone who has been reading my blog and i hope you stick around!

Well it would appear im not going to collage today, seems my stomach didnt agree with something i ate lastnight (Or even this morning) I would of sworn that the steaks lastnight had another week left.. oh well! Even though im sitting here with a bucket at my feet, it seems that the move will still happen on time.
Iv got some great new posts saved as drafts and they will go up ASAP as soon as im finished tweaking the new website (Which looks very much like this one) Experimenting with afew newer themes and the like, seeing what new potential it has. However i should be finished with that around 6pm GMT tonight.
Anyway off to play my ironbreaker for abit and throw up some more of my guts!

Just a quick update this morning before i shoot off to collage. Should be ready to change over tonight, ill stick up a post once i am. New website is really brilliant! Kudos to Regis for getting the competition organised, ill even post my story there so you can all have a look-see at it.

Well seeing as i was a winner in the competition over at Wizards & Wenches i bagged myself a proper domain, hosted on the blogwarhammer server (Kindly provided by Regis) and as such i will gradually be moving from here to the domain name over there!
Theres lots of new goodies being on a private server, such as my own email! And lots of other tools i can fiddle around with, so i couldnt decline, it was just too good! (Although i did get abit of a scare when Regis mentioned FTP and i thought back to the coding days…)
The blog will never go down so have no fear! As ill keep posting on here until the transition is complete and im ready to post on the new blog! However we might loose some old posts, i will try to take the most important ones with me, but bear in mind somethings can be lost!

I was sitting in a keep.. on a rather plump iron breaker.. wondering what use i could be, when i noticed there was afew of my guildies kicking around, always eager to group up with people i know are half decent and on vent, we formed a warband and went back on our merry way.
About 10 minutes after this a fresh wave of destro showed up and started beating on the door, now currently we only had around 1/2 there numbers, so we knew it was going to be a pretty tough fight until the rest of order managed to get back to mandreds. However it was around this time i chucked out the idea of a “Tank Wall” – Now dont get me wrong i know its not a new concept, but id never been in one and wondered how (If at all) well they worked. As we only had afew tanks in the group we decided to try it at the top of the stairs.
So there we are all lined up.. we hear the doors come down and the healers start spam healing and then.. The destro just seemed to stop.. I dont know whether it was out of shock (That order were organised) or that they were waiting for something.. but they just stopped. After about 5 minutes waiting downstairs (Due to our two brilliant engineers Smithy & Angthar teaching them a lesson about Not grouping up on the stairs) they decided to rush us, and much to my suprise we actually held them! But not only did we hold them we actually counter-rushed them and managed to wipe them!
By now me and my guildies were speachless, we managed to pin it down to either sheer luck or that their average level was lower than ours. However, once they had reformed we seemed to aboslutely batter them again! Of course by then we had afew more players, but we were still outnumbered (As far as i know) Im still amazed at how they really didnt know how to deal with it, they were caster heavy and we were MDPS heavy, yet i only saw one Sorc try to AoE (Who was always quickly targetted by every RDPS and who i felt rather sorry for)
Does this show that destro have been living off the “Zerg” tactics for too long? Or simply that nobody really knows what to do at T2? Either way i had a blast, and this has totally changed my view on player collision! (Although getting stuck between team-mates is still rather annoying)
To sum to up, player collision rules, tank walls rule and i got a majour e-peen boost – all in one night!
But on a more serious note.. iv not given up on this blog! Just been very busy currently.. work..family..games etc. But not to fear ill get my daily posts back up and running!
Also it seems i was a winner in the WnW Blog Contest! Check it here! So we will no doubt be moving very shortly in terms of domain name!
Anyway, must dash, need to get this essay written before i have to go back to collage! Ill give you all a update tonight on my doings in – and out – of the game!

Thats right, this is the Month of Blogging! A new incentive by the blogwarhammer team to get more WAR Blogs set up!
I myself only started blogging around a month ago, and i was sketchy – at first – if it would “work” for me. It did, and i love writing and keeping people updated! If your sitting there thinking “But i cant set one up” “It takes too long” have no fear! There are many sites such as WordPress and Blogger that are simple and easy to set up and maintain.

All in all blogging is a great way of sharing your thoughts with a community about a passion that you have, and id reccomend it to anyone!
Well WAR has survived its first few months, and it leaves us wondering what awaits us in the new year. We’ve already seen how capable the Devs are at good events and content patches (The KoTBS and BG Being one of them) and how they’ve responded to player feedback. So what can we expect?
I stumbled upon this while browsing the WHA Forums;
“In 2009 we are going to keep advancing with great strides. The Keg End Event is drawing to an end in the new year, but the next patch is coming soon and so is the next event. Also, the introduction of the melee DPS careers for the Dwarfs and the Greenskins is looming on the horizon.“
So it seems that not only is another “Big patch” coming soon, but also another event. Something relating to easter and the easter giant? Will we be running around farming eggs like we were for Keg End? Who knows. But what is interesting is the part about the two new melee classes. I believe this will get WAR another huge player boost, and depending on whether they opt for the hammer or slayer, balance population issues between order and destruction. (I mean c’mon a naked dwarf with axes and a mohawk beats anything!)
Also this;
“Community Management will open new official forums in 2009, thus enhancing the already excellent interaction with players in different fan forums. Furthermore, we will be keeping you posted with monthly newsletters, weekly reports or Questions and Answers from the developers as well as news about game updates and what is going on on the servers. And, needless to say, we are looking forward to meeting you in person at upcoming exhibitions and games days.”
Hooray, official forums! That coupled with weekly Q&A from the devs boosts my confidence in GOA by +0.5! However with official forums, what will that mean for WHA? Will it continue to be a bustling community for WAR? Or merely a ghost town? Lastly, i know it doesnt affect in-game much, but hooray for game days!
Finally to finish, we can see that WAR has already come a long way in the past few months. We showed all the nay-sayers saying that it would die instantly, its even survived WoW’s expansion (along with the lesser known Lotro Expansion!) What to expect from the new year? Definatly the two MDPS classes, maybe even some more pve content, who knows, but im sure it will continue to be a excellent game.

Well its coming up to new years and before i get back to my copious amout of beer drinking and telling everyone “How i love them” i thought id do my first New Years Post!
Firstly i would like to say that iv finally chosen a class! I now have a level 14 (And rising!) Iron Breaker! So far they are great, i can 1v1 about any class (Although some do take alot longer than others) and he also seems plenty good at Solo PvE. Depending on how long my hangover takes to disperse after tonight ill write a “Introduction” to them, and also a “Abilities & What they Do” shortly after – after that we will see might do a RvR/PvE one etc.
Secondly i would like to thank all my readers, without you i would not be doing this – aslong as only one of you remains i will continue to blog for you! Well lets just say that this has been my first real “Month” of blogging, as iv never done it before and im really enjoying it! I hope to continue it into the new year and hope you will all choose to stick with me as i continue to adventure through WAR!
