Adam

Joe and Claudia got into their new home last week. Happy day for them but not so happy for us here at my moms. We have absolutely LOVED having little Adam running around the house. For some reason he loves my bed and everyday he would come in and "play" x-box sitting on my bed. We even watched Sleeping Beauty one day. He is such a fun kid and we will miss having him around here each day. Claudia called my mom the first morning that they woke up in their new house and Adam had been walking around the house saying "Annnnie, Annnie?" Made me miss the little squirt even more. Here are some pictures of him hanging out with me.

Thanksgiving in Kanab

Chris and I came down to Kanab to spend Thanksgiving with Jim and Pam this year. It was just the four of us but it was great. Jim made some amazing biscuits, Pam made the salad, and Chris and I made the mashed potatoes. Someone in town deep fried the Turkey with a Honey Mesquite Glaze. It was a great dinner. We had pumkin pie afterwards for desert. Chris and I always enjoy coming down and spending time with his parents. They are so much fun to be around and they always make such great dinners.
Friday night we went up to Three Lakes where we met up with my Dad and his family. Jim and Pam cooked venisan stew. It was great! We made a nice fire and ate together around the fire. The smoke seemed to love me for some reason, so I had to keep getting up and moving. So that made it hard to stay very long but it was a lot of fun to be up there. I always love just being at Three Lakes.
We saw Madagascar 2 at the local theater. It was nice to see Tara and her family. After that movie Tara and Amber came up and we watched Hancock. Its been a while since I have hung out with Amber, so it was great to see her again and hang out with Tara and her like old times.
Saturday Chris and Jim went up to Three Lakes to help my Dad unload two HUGE bales of hay. They were HUGE, each one was 2000 pounds! Then we watched Hancock again with Jim and Pam. (They didn't get to see it with us the night before). Then we took Mickie to the city park. I sat in a chair wrapped up in blankets and Chris, Jim, and Pam through the frisbee and a ball to Mickie. She loved it. Here are some pictures of the Park.

Lovesac

The people from Lovesac have been absolutely awesome. When I was in the hospital they sent me a dozen red roses. They are also going to furnish our new living room with all Lovesac furniture. Shawn has been so great. I just wanted to give them a shout out and tell them how much it has meant to me. This accident has been so hard to deal with, with the multiple injuries and worse reliving the accident in my dreams. I appreciate Lovesac's concern and willingness to help me out.

Check out their website:

Last Friday Lovesac came out and we did the shoot for news video release. (I probably didn't get that term right). Anyway, it was great to work with Brad and Nick. They did a great job. The rough draft of the shoot is posted on Youtube. Here is the link:

FoxNews

Yesterday I received a call from Foxnews the National Company. They wanted to interview me. So this morning they sent a limo to pick me up and took me to a studio downtown Salt Lake. It was crazy. A makeup lady came in and just started going at it. They hooked up a mic to my shirt and a mic in my ear. I had to stare at the camera the whole time. It was pretty wierd. It was fun to do though. It takes everything out of me to get up and do things like that but it helps turn something so terrible for me into something a little fun.

This is the FOXNEWS one. Once I get a better video I will post it up here.

Update

The Chair I was sitting in and was pinned on under the tractor
" You find out who your friends are"
The Kidnapping
Walking for the first time after the accident
More visitors, "you'll find out who your friends are"

Well I am now home from my hospital stay. Its hard to say much better. Thank you so so much for all the prayers and for everyone who came to see me, especially my friends who drove all the way up from Southern Utah and of course the ones who dropped everything Thursday night to come be with me.
Thanks to my family who have been so awesome.
I know there are so many people who called to see how I was holding up and if you talked to me and I don't remember it, I'm sorry, don't feel bad because I don't remember anything really about being in the hospital.
Anyway, I will keep everybody updated on whats going on. As for now, I'm just trying to get my legs working again.
When I was at the hospital Cortney, Tara, Katie and Cortney came and spent a lot of time with me. Cortney C took a lot of pictures. At one point they even kidnapped me and since I was so out of it they were able to snap some pictures of me and them. Notice I'm asleep in almost everyone of them.

Well two years have passed and we can hardly believe it. It has been a fun two years with lots of adventures. We went to Lake Powell for our 2nd Anniversary. Steven so generously let us use his new wave runner. It was a blast. Then later that day we went to the creek with Mickie. What a great day!

On the 20th we had Mickie's Memorial at Three Lakes. It went so well and we all believe that it is exactly how Mickie would have wanted it. Here are some pictures of the memorial. The only thing that I didn't like was the fact that I told my Uncle Rob not to use the fire wood we had cut and placed for the Memorial and he agreed he wouldn't use it. Well, he did and replaced it with basically a bunch of broken branches in stead of logs.... After everything that happened with him and the memorial I would have thought for sure he would honor his word and not touch our wood that we chopped. The least he could have done is replace it with actual logs like we had and not broken down tree branches. Oh well, the memorial went perfect.

To all my friends

Lately I have been putting together a scrapbook full of memories of Mickie. It has been much more difficult than I ever thought. It has made me really think about how blessed we are to have known Mickie, and for those of us who had the chance to spend a lot of time with her we are really really blessed. She was such an amazing person. Mickie, you may be gone but you will never be forgotten. I will see you soon bud.

I just want all my friends to know that I love you and feel blessed to know you. You all bring so much laughter, fun, and joy to my life. Thank you for your friendship and just being you.
