For the K Monster's 9th birthday I took her and a couple friends to see Arthur's Christmas

 then they climbed up the theatre walls...literally

Then off to Peter Piper Pizza

 That night we invited a few families over for dinner and cake pops

Christmas 2011

We started Christmas Eve by having a gingerbread making contest....

 I'm pretty sure the girls won!

Christmas Morning ....

 then we had the BIG surprise for the kids....we were headed to Las Vegas...

We took the kids to see the show Le Reve....its an amazing show but no cameras allowed so no pictures!

But the kids LOVED Vegas and can't wait to go back!

Grandmas's Christmas Party 2011

We headed down to my Mom's for the annual Family Christmas Party.....

there was of course the gingerbread houses

we played lots of minute to win it games

 

 The kids opened their new pj's from Gma

 and it wouldn't be Christmas without a visit from Santa!



Thanksgiving 2011

It was just Chad and I for Thanksgiving this year so we decided to disappear for the weekend so we headed off to Laughlin......and I didn't take any pictures.....so just believe me it was fun and relaxing with just the two of us hanging out!

Halloween 2011

I'm not normally into Halloween but since we have a lot of little Kindergartners that come into my office to Trick or Treat my boss and I decided to dress up like clowns for work. So here's my best clown and the kids as a she-devil and a zombie.

Oh the drama....

Blogging has become a chore...I'm not good at....I'm so behind....so tonight or tomorrow I have vowed to catch up and never get behind again.....I lie to myself a lot just to get things done!

 However, we have had a lot of drama these days...it hasn't been fun....I don't like when people manipulate other people especially their children especially against another parent.  So I just need to say that I really am thankful that even though I am not married to my children's father I am thankful that he and I get along and that neither of see the need to degrade each other to our children.  I am grateful that we both understand that no matter what the past has held we have two children that need us to be good parents....even apart!  I am happy we have both gotten beyond the past and our kids have become good kids that respect adults, are well behaved, happy, great students in school, and just all around good little tykes! 

In the meantime, we will continue to deal with the drama that seems to constantly exist our lives to the best of our ability and hopefully one day she'll realize that things maybe weren't exactly as they were portrayed and we really aren't as bad as we have been made out to be.

Until then,  I will catch up on the last 3 months of our lives and never get behind again!

It's a Makeover

Janell came up last week and helped me FINALLY make my house looked like we actually live here so here's the before and afters.....

 we did curtains and Janell made a bazillion pillows

 Hard to show it all and there's still some work to do but WHEW am I glad she showed up to help!
