Hello there! It´s a long time since I wrote anything in this blog.
But now I decided, that I am finally going to share something I have been creating just recently.
I have read about blogger iHannas #diypostcardswap many times, and have wanted to participate. But now I decided to finally go ahead and do it! I joined the swap, I have made 10 different postcards, and sent them out in the world, I sent 8 to USA, 1 to Australia and 1 to Sweden. And I have started receiving postcards too, I have gotten 4 so far, it´s so much fun to see the beauty others have created, and also share what I have created and sent out to different people.
If you want to read about iHanna and her postcardswap (she hosts it twice a year), you can click on this link http://www.ihanna.nu/postcard-swap/
But now, to share the 10 postcards I created for this swap!

I have used many techniques, these are painted, collaged, doodled, stitched. I wanted to incorporate positive words/sayings/quotes in them, and I managed to do that in everyone, in different ways. Most of the words I created and printed with my “Dymo labelwriter”, the good thing with that is, it´s printed waterproof on “sticky labels”, it is so useful in many ways 🙂
The pictures don´t do them justice, and especially the ones with some glitter or shiny things, don´t show up very well on photos/scans. But this are the best I could do to show them to you.
They are all about 10 x 15 cm in size, I used a base I cut from recycled cardboard boxes (food packaging), I really tried to use recycled stuff as much as possible, like pics and papers from ads, bookpages, bits and pieces that might have been thrown away, and some hand painted papers. A mix of “this and that”.
I hope you like what I have showed here and maybe get inspired 🙂
It was so much fun to create these, and I will surely continue to make “scrap postcards” because it is so fun, and it´s great to have something to send out to friends, family, people around the world, to just send something nice in the mail to someone “just because”.
So that is it for this time. Take care everyone, and try to spread love and positive things in the world, it is so very much needed.
