“Let me think!” Or “Can’t you be quiet?I’m trying to write!” Are the most common sentences i use when trying to put pen to paper. Crossings out, scribbles, editing, re-editing, hair loss. all part of being a writer. Sometimes i wish i could just plug my brain into my laptop and download the ideas i have direct. Some of my stories/poems/monologues are just that typed direct no editing, no proofreading no spell check or grammar. Others have been meticulously thought out, edited to death and are as perfect as i can get them. So pick a category, choose a story/poem/monologue, read and leave a comment.
Love this intro. Looking forward to seeing more!

I wish we came across a few years back when I had lot of time for my blogs and very few readers LOL. These days I rarely visit my own blogs but thanks for checking out my blog and I will most certainly read your works whenever I am in my own blog. 🙂
It really feels great to have a reader.

The way AI is looking, one day we may be able to plug our minds into the computer and download all of our ideas into written content haha!

That’s exactly how it goes. I usually have wonderful thoughts when I’m driving but forget them all when I get to my pen and paper or laptop!

Do you have a record voice button on your phone? If so leave it running while you drive and just blurt out whatever you think of. You can go through it later and might find a couple of gems you didn’t even realise you had said.

Very nice!! I get most beautiful thoughts when I wake up early in the morning, and still lying in the bed…my mind starts visiting so many places and making plans.😇

Some of my weirdest are when my hands are in warm soapy water washing up or in the ‘throne room’

I’m glad there’s still some craft in the art of writing – if we were just a set-and-forget-plug-in-device I think a lot of the magic would get lost… there’s something in transcribing thoughts that helps them transform and grow. Linda xox
PS – I did a shoutout of your blog on mine today, hope you don’t mind: http://themindfulmigraine.blog/2024/05/17/4-month-rebirth-day/

Plugging your brain into your computer is funny–or not, if it something in the near future.

it’s the same for me… I either babbled with no editing or re-read and think what am I saying? Be real and truthful, it’s a great read! keep it up- enjoying the blog.
