10 days until I’m home in my little state. Being away from home for college for about a year now has made me realize how much I have taken from growing up in a small state. Little New Hampshire. It is a shock to me the way people look at me and question me why I’m from such a small place, and what the heck do I do there for fun. And it’s hard to explain why growing up in a Town that has more farm animals then people, one traffic light, and no Starbucks is any fun. But it is. The people you meet become your family. You have neighbors who are “townies” and can tell you stories and history of the town in more detail then any website can tell you. I would have never wanted to grown up any place else. It’s home. My whole small town is my home.
“Everything in your life is a reflection of a choice you have made. If you want a different result, make a different choice.”
This week I make a huge choice in my college pathway. I have worked hard for something I want so bad. Hopefully, all my choices I have made to get me where I am today will reflect positively on who I am.
noun: a thing that serves to relieve inhibitions or tension between people, or start a conversation.
Tension have defiantly risen in college. Stress can be overwhelming, the work is increased. College is meant to test you, it helps you grow. 1st semester of college is finally over, I have had that period of time to realize this is the next chapter in my journey to becoming who I want to be. This is the month I apply to my program to be an Occupational Therapist. The tensions are higher than ever, once I get through it, my ice will be broken, I will have the answer to the next direction my life will lead to.
Definition of being thankful: feeling or expressing gratitude; appreciative.
This amazing women, my mother, was never thanked enough for everything. Everything she did, was for me and my father. She would come home from work, cook delicious meals, clean, and start over the next day. All while raising me, along with my dad. I never thanked you enough mom, so here it goes. Thank you for your endless love. Thank you for raising me with strength. Thank you for supporting me in everything I did. From every concert to every softball game. Thank you for smiling at me, and staying next to me until I fell asleep at night when I was sad. Thank you for your warm heart, your cherishing personality. Thank you for loving me. I love you all the way to God. And I know you know that. And for that, I am thankful.
Taking new paths, comes with taking risks. It’s the game we take in life. We have two options when it comes to choosing how we are going to get where we want to be in life. One, is to stay on path with what we believe our lives have in store for us. The other is to jump off the paved path and find a backroad that will help us find our way to our purpose for life. Every once in a while, choosing that road, where we may not know the path or where it will lead to, is the one that will pay off exploring in the end.
Recently I have been given the opportunity to share my blogs, on the website mytrendingstories.com. Being able to share my photography, and the ideas and thoughts I relate to them, mean the world to me. Openly sharing a passion of mine will hopefully help me in the future with a career in this industry. I have a great outlook on what this small opportunity will bring me in the future.
if you walk in the footprints of others you won’t make any of your own. go on adventures, create your own path’s in life, while leaving marks of who you truly are on this earth.
like the Wind crying endlessly through the universe, time carries away the names and the deeds of conquerers and commoners alike. and all that we are, all that remains, is in the memories of those who cared we came this way for a brief moment.
