When you’re not really happy with a painting - that’s the time to experiment... it can’t get any worse. 

There is no paper to just throw away. We know good paper ain't cheap. If your painting fails, turn it over and paint on the other side. If that doesn't turn out, toss it in a bathtub full of warm water and gently scrub the sheet to give yourself a nice tinted sheet to paint on. And if that doesn't work... gesso it and work like the late, great Don Getz.
