Falsified Truths

I’ve grown weary of pretending all is well. Acting as if small steps mean the world to me. I am tired of so much effort for such little progress..
These are the days where the clouds hold no silver lining. When I’ve all but disappointed those I cherish. Empty days when I feel soulless. Those desperate emotions one like me is forbidden to show.
The story should read, on those days I find solice in… Or then my love appears… but my tale doesn’t fashion itself that way. There is no resuce from this midnight of darkness. It is silent tears from behind a locked door. My voice telling the lie that I am fine. The fake smile and surface laugh that fool even those closest to me.

Insufferable is my bitter disappointment in myself.
