The horseman

Then came the horseman broad and tall
Who ruled the land for a long while
Thousands saw their kingdom fall
The horseman walked in style

When the horseman fell, his kin was crowned
Who started rampaging soon after
kingdoms were crushed and the week were drowned
He walked like there is no here-after

Now the kin is pale and losing his charm
The brother is stepping up the ladder
He ate all the cattle in his neighbor’s farm
and burnt their shed and fodder

Metaphor

How nice!
I can say without saying
Beat without beating
Punch without punching
And get away with it.

There’s much more to that
Words spoken when heart’s broken
Has depth as deep as the ocean bed
Where every letter shines so bright.

This is a world of bewilderment
where no one sees what I can see
No one hears what I can hear
No one feels what I can feel
While I can rest assured.

How nice I found this comfy world
And how comfortable I am
I needn’t worry about the doorbell ring
And there’s nothing that money can buy.

I can walk in and out as I please
No prior appointments needed
I can stay here as long as I want
Because this is where I wish to be

Rest in peace

I was dead for over an year
I was no way near
Now that I am back
With my old backpack
That still has an airliner tag
Awful jet lag!

Mic drop!
So, where did we stop?
I remember little bit
I wasn’t very fit
Well, long story short
A nightmare I caught
In a broad day light
But that’s alright

I am a crown without a king
Bird without a wing
A bee that couldn’t sting
Yea, Poor little thing!

I got too much in my chest
And when they lay me to rest
I might weigh well over a ton
Pardon the pun

Good night, honey bun  😉

Soothsayer

So far, you’ve had a lovely time
You’ve had your life your way
But as the barefoot Wiseman once said
Every good thing comes to an end.

Life goes on and it has to. That’s the beauty of it.
Only this time it will be black and white
Because all the hues will be taken
To make your life a bit more miserable.

Your wait will be over soon
A new beginning wrapped up with thorns
Packed with care so you can open it slowly
For the rest of your life

I am sorry

I’ve hurt you! I know I’m bad. It’s sad
I’m mad, I can’t change myself.
I’ve tried, I’ve cried,
I’ve washed myself and dried but failed.
Deep inside I’m jailed.
I’m nailed not to the cross but to the coffin.
I’m not a human, I’m a beast, to say the least.
Atleast, I know who I am.

I can’t help but stare into the night sky
And ask Him ‘why?’, can I die and come-by?
My heart is dry. I won’t lie, I’ve made you cry.
I am sorry. I don’t know if it is too late.
But, if that’s my fate I will bite the  bait.
Let my inner monster have me in his plate.

Reminder

What’s yours is yours!
Not a penny more, not a penny less.
There’s nothing wrong in chasing your dreams
There’s nothing wrong in keeping hope
But you’ll get exactly what’s yours at the end of the rope.

The hunter became the hunted!

Dense foliage blocked the sun
Bloody chase had just begun
The hunter stormed with his gun
To gun down the leopard that was on the run.

The mighty beast weighed over a ton
The  hunter was simply having fun
That’s when he tripped and dropped his gun
It was the leopard’s turn to get things done
