Movement?

For the past four days or so, I have periodically been feeling a big lump where my uterus is. H placed his hand on the area, and I asked him if he could feel anything. He replied, “No.” “Okay then,” I thought, “perhaps it is just too early to feel movement from the outside.”  Last night, however, I was feeling it again. He placed his hand in the same area and I explained to him, “it may feel like a ball under a blanket moving.” He looked at me wide-eyed and said, “I think I can feel it!” He described to me that it felt like it was slowly moving in the direction of my left hip. I said, “Yep, I feel it too.” (From the inside of course.)

EEK! I am so excited.

So, I must ask, when did you begin to feel movement?

WE ARE PREGNANT!!

Yes. You read that correctly- we are pregnant!

On Thursday November 21, I took a test in the evening. It came out positive! My H and I decided I would test again in the morning just to be sure. Sure enough, they were ALL positive.

I have only told a handful of people. Really only the important ones, if you know what I mean. After New Years I will freely announce or speak about my pregnancy.

According to my calculations, I am 8 weeks along tomorrow. My due date is July 15, 2014. That, of course, may change. I have a Dr appointment next week. I will be updating weekly now that I am (essentially) 8 weeks.

How many weeks along were you when you announced your pregnancy?

Anovulatory cycle?

Hello friends!

I had my annual check-up on Wednesday, and I asked them to give me a pregnancy test. NEGATIVE. I was so upset. AF hadn’t shown, there were no signs of AF, and we BD every-other day. I thought, “Of course I am pregnant!” Wrong! Oh how wrong I was. Dr. said to test again 7 days later if AF did not come, but you see, I seem to lack self-control when it comes to pregnancy. So, I took one today. NEGATIVE. AGAIN! I think I’ll spare myself the frustration and not test again this cycle at all.

At this point I am on CD 34! This is obviously turning into the cycle I had last time.

My Dr. told me to not expect my body to be regulated until after three months. She also suggest I take opks, but I’m not going to do that. Instead, I bought a BBT and have begun charting. I realize most think one should not begin charting mid-cycle, but I am. I need to get myself in the habit of temping, and it is a little fun.

So, here I wait.

Hello again. Shortly after I posted yesterday’s post, I noticed spotting. This only happened when (TMI) I wiped. I thought that perhaps AF was going to make her appearance. She did not. In fact, the spotting stopped yesterday evening.  Withdrawal bleeding? Implantation bleeding, I hope.

I admit though, I did get teary eyed.

Did you get withdrawal bleeding after birth control?

After much consideration, I have decided to document my journey to pregnancy and beyond.

Hi. My name is Jodi. I have been married for two years. My husband and I decided in August that I would no longer take birth control so we could begin TTC. My LMP was August 26, 2013. My next period should have been on September 23, however AF decided not to show. That is normal for me. I don’t get my period until the second month off of birth control. As of now, I am twelve days late. I did take a HPT on September 29 to ensure I was not pregnant, and it confirmed that. On October 3, I began to have EWCM. Hopefully Hubby and I BD on time!

How long after birth control does AF resume for you?
