Life

Again it has been a long time since I have blogged and it is a funny time to start.  But having lots of time gets me back here.

My life has changed drastically.  I live in Niagara Falls On. Canada with my sister and her family upstairs and me and my bf down.  Life  has thrown a lot at me in the last couple years but I am feeling good.

I started keto diet and love how I feel on this and so much energy now. I also make pipe and wood furniture now in my workshop that bf fixed up for me to play in.  I will download some pics for here.  I enjoy it a lot and of course cooking keto is more time consuming than regular so I have been practicing making different desserts and may start to cell stuff soon.

So hoping I can get back to reading everyones blogs and that all are doing ok with this horrible virus.

I am fine and how are you

A belated Mother’s Day to all.

I am very busy with family and friends.  So thankful for all the people in my life who are helping me through this trying time.  It is a huge blessing to have them.  I am spending a lot of time with my granddaughter and just being thankful.  It has been so long since I blogged I need to retrain myself.  The one thing I find right now is I do not have a lot of time to blog.  Which is a good thing as it means I am keeping busy.  I have read other blogs but not as often as I would like.

Here is to all the love and laughter in the world even in the hardest times.  I am striving for forgiveness to all and understanding where someone else may be coming from.  What there perception of the situation is.  Letting go of negativity.  Life is far to short for it.

LIFE HAS A FUNNY WAY OF HAPPENING!

It has been a long time since I have posted and much has happened in my life.  My partner passed away unexpectedly in February.  So my life plans are changing again.  Funny how that happens!

My health is continuing to be annoying but as most people have said “He was your support and helper, what happened?”

My answer to that is a heartsick LIFE HAPPENED!  There is much to do and I am trying to take it one day at a time.  I have found myself laughing on occasion and know that is a good sign.  I need to laugh more!  Where else can I do that but here;  reading some great stories.  Hope that the blogs I followed are still blogging away and I look forward to finding them again.

My Apologies

I just want to say that I love blogging and all the people I get to interact with.  But, right now my head is not where it needs to be yet.  On Friday I had a transvaginal ultrasound and on Monday my dr. called me in to inform me I need to see gynecologist for further testing to determine if it is cancer.  I try not to let tomorrow’s worries affect what good things I have in my life.  Alas I am currently failing in this.  Many of you have been through this or know others who have been.  It is the worrying that is bothering me the most.   I hope that I can get my head back to where I need it to be which is Positive thoughts only.  I know I will get there but as many know it is the waiting that is the hardest and then you move forward from there.  I feel like a fraud for not being more Positive right now.  So my blogging will not be as often for a bit until I get my Self-Talk back to “Don’t worry about tomorrow or you will miss out on the good things today has to offer”   My plan is to have the dr. tell me it is nothing but my head goes elsewhere.  Thank you for being a part of my blog and please now that I appreciate all who follow me.

HAPPY EARTH DAY TO ALL…LET US MAKE IT A HEALTHY EARTH DAY

Yesterday, we saw the first Compton Tortoiseshell of the season Yesterday, we saw the first Compton Tortoiseshell of the season

Happy Earth Day, hope you can get outside and enjoy the marvelous spring changes!  Go for a walk.

From http://www.startribune.com

The first Earth Day on April 22, 1970, was a day set aside to think about creating lifestyles to reduce waste and destruction of our environment.

One of the main messages many of us heard that day was that human life can continue on Earth only if people cooperate with nature. Strides have been made over the past 46 years in cleaning up many rivers and lakes, recycling, protecting natural ecosystems, becoming more aware of hazardous materials, and the list goes on. But we have a long way to go if we are to live in a sustainable way in harmony with nature.

There are things to do and things not to do when it comes to being a good steward…

BEAUTIFUL HAIR NATURALLY

I have posted shampoo ideas for hair but recently found this one and have like what it is doing for my hair.  I just happened to have a huge amount of this herb so it was perfect.  I have oily hair (or had) on top and dry on the ends so did not like using any of the shampoos that contain oil in them.  I liked them for a while and then not so much and absolutely do not like baking soda on my hair.  This one seems to work well and so does the idea for conditioning the ends.

I have been reducing washing my hair at all for a while now and it really does not need to be washed every day unless you want to strip your hair of it own natural oils.  I suppose I would not have agreed to this when I was younger.

This is a great idea for not using shampoo I found on Continue reading

“Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find resources of strength that will endure as long as life lasts” — Rachel Carson

This land is your land, this land is my land! In honor of Earth Day this Friday, April 22, wpid-wp-1423799335727.jpegmake a resolution to do one thing new for our earth. Pledge to use your reusable water bottle, use reusable shopping bags, turn off lights and electronics, plant native plants and milkweed, and walk more and drive less. It makes a big difference if everyone does just a small part!

Get outside and Enjoy!

Cauliflower detox salad

I love, love cauliflower.  It can be used for so many recipes.  I made my chocolate cauliflower pudding yesterday (and broke another measuring cup) I made some adjustments as I had some cream cheese left over from my lemon pudding (it was awesome and will post it later) so added about an ounce and a half to my recipe and a couple chopped strawberries.  It is really good a bit higher in carb count of course but not a whole lot.

I just found this nice looking cauliflower salad and will be making this one tomorrow.  I am trying a fast for today. So here it is…… Continue reading
