breach

breach

writers words to fill a breach

to backfill against deliberate rifts

designed by the rich and greedy

(through deliberate acts)

to enhance power and profits

by detriment to the common man

“once more unto the breach”, words

by Shakespeare thru King Henry

as important for writers today

as they were in 1599

Labyrinth

labyrinth

his life was an intricate structure,

a premise of doors and corridors

where the pathway from a to b

had so many different routes

in his mind there were tunnels

where dark monsters hid,

he knew they were man made

but that never lessened the pain

his mind – like a tropical jungle

was overgrown with strangler vines,

finding a path through the labyrinth

was never going to be easy

rabbit_hole

rabbit_hole

going down the rabbit_hole

and finding myself

coming out of the rabbit_hole,

in through the out door or

out through the in door,

the thinking was getting harder,

I think I passed myself

on the way through,

we both waved,

the question coming out seemed

different than the one going in,

but the answer was the same

I can’t remember if I was Anthony

or Alice on the way in, or the way out,

so just call me Bruce

Unctuous

unctuous

in the end

it was a number of things

that showed his character

and the deficiencies within,

the eyes too close to his face

the smarmy words out of his mouth

the soapy smile on his dial

the way his wig was set

the oversize suit coat cut to

try and make him look slim

I’ve always felt unctuous

was spelt wrong

Whale

Whale

false killer whales

share food and relationships

with dolphins, while

false face millionaires share grifting

relationships with false face politicians

(neither are cute like dolphins)

it’s a predator eat bait fish type of world

and the blood in the water is never theirs

truth is, I’d rather swim with sharks

than dip a toe into the swirling maelstrom

of their greedy desires and selfish pleasures

in offspring we can see the spit of the father

in false killer whales we still see killers

while the rich herd and surround the poor

politicians convince us we can all swim
