Active, intense preparation required for job interview

But how you come across in this critical part of a job search depends on how well you prepare, so it’s key to use your time wisely beforehand to ensure you aren’t left sweating under the collar and scrambling for the right words.
“Job seekers can set themselves apart by asking intelligent questions about the company and the position,” Hosking says. “Before interviews, candidates should thoroughly research the employer and come up with questions that show interest in and knowledge of the organization.”

BP faces August 2014 trial on shareholders’ Gulf spill claims
6 MarA U.S. civil trial has been set for Aug. 25, 2014, regarding accusations that BP Plc committed fraud by misleading shareholders before and after the 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill about its ability to respond to the accident.
The jury trial was scheduled by U.S. District Judge Keith Ellison in Houston on Tuesday.
Shareholders led by the New York State Common Retirement Fund and four Ohio pension funds claimed to lose up to 40 percent of their investments within six weeks of the April 20, 2010, explosion of the Deepwater Horizon drilling rig.
The accident killed 11 people and caused the largest U.S. offshore oil spill. In February 2012, Ellison limited the lawsuit to claims by investors who bought BP’s American depositary receipts on U.S. exchanges. BP has denied fraud.

At least once a year, the 28-year-old editorial consultant will drive two hours from her home in Toronto just to shop at a Target store in Buffalo, N.Y. And when she can’t make the trip, she asks her mother in Illinois to scoop up merchandise.
“I like Target’s design aesthetic,” MacLeod said. “There’s nothing like that here.”
MacLeod is one of thousands of Canadians already quite fond of the Minneapolis-based retailer. And that will be a huge advantage for Target as it embarks on its first major push outside the United States. Canadians familiar with Target say they want the same things they would find at an American store: wide aisles, discount prices, and fashion-forward clothing and home decor. Continue reading………..
