God gathers, equips, and sends us to offer
Hospitality and Hope.
Join us Sundays at 11 AM
Lamond-Riggs/Fort Totten
We are a small, mighty church in the Lamond-Riggs neighborhood of Northeast DC.
Our congregation is proud to be multi-generational and represents communities across the DC, Maryland, and Virginia metro area. We are a friendly church of young professionals, government employees, parents, educators, scientists, retirees, lawyers, and students. During the week, God calls us to serve everywhere from the Hill, to the universities, to the home, to the media. Some of us have just moved to the District, while others have grown up here. We care deeply for one another, the neighborhoods and suburbs in which we live, and the work we do in the nation’s capital.
We are many, but in Jesus, we are one body, and we welcome you!
Church is a space for all. Whether you are familiar with church or wondering about Jesus, you are welcome here.
If you are visiting, we know that walking into a new church can be daunting. We are eager to meet you, hear your story, and serve you with the love of Christ.

We draw from the riches of the church’s song—from treasured hymns to contemporary worship songs—so some music might be more familiar than others. Most songs can be found in the red hymnal, Lift Up Your Hearts (LUYH). We also project lyrics on the screen. If you are unfamiliar with a song, feel free to participate by listening, and join as you feel comfortable.
Our service follows a structured order (“liturgy”), with older and newer worship expressions. Some readings and prayers include opportunities to join in one voice. These responses are bolded on the screen and bulletin so that you can follow along.
-
Before the sermon, children ages 3–8 will be dismissed for a Bible story, singing, and craft. Off for the summer.
-
We celebrate the sacrament of communion on the first Sunday of every month. Grape juice and gluten free crackers are provided. All those who are seeking to follow Jesus faithfully are welcome to partake in communion.
We celebrate the sacrament of baptism as the occasion arrives.
-
We think Sunday mornings should be a time to connect with one another. After the service, coffee and snacks are served in the lobby, so hang around and grab a bit!

We believe that God loves LGBTQ+ people as created in His image, baptized into the covenant of Jesus Christ, and welcomed into the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. People of all sexual orientations and gender identities belong in God’s family of believers. We believe that God and Scripture can embrace committed, monogamous same-sex relationships as an example of God’s covenant community and a model of Christ’s love for the church.
