Good News They Bring

Rushing winds

Under moon-lit sky.

God of all the universe

Stirs heaven on high.

Mighty angels,

Good news they bring;

“Glory, Glory, Glory,

To the coming of our King!”

“And it will be said in that day;

“Behold, this is our God;

We have waited for Him,

And He will save us.

This is the LORD;

We have waited for Him;

We will be glad and rejoice in

His salvation.”

Isaiah 25:9 NKJT

The Valley

-Its the going through

Where I trust in You.-

“I stand silently to listen

For the One I love,

Waiting as long as it takes

For the Lord

To rescue me.”

Psalm 62:1 TPT

In this season of light, in the midst of a trying life season of care-giving and decisions, even when it doesn’t “feel” very lightful and bright, I’m learning to lean in to trusting God who has always been faithful.

He tenderly meets me each day with love and reassurance. His Word promises He is with my family and I as we walk through another day, and I’m trusting Him to keep His promise.

Photos captured in “the wilderness” and as our guide shared, “death valley”, mentioned in the Psalms, Israel 2011 pilgrimage.

Thankful for this safe place to share my heart and life-journey days.

Unshakable Rock

Ask, Seek and Knock;

Built on the Rock.

Seek My face,

Seek My face,

From “the cleft of the Rock”

The wind blew,

The fire burn,

The floods will pour and rise,

Founded on the Rock,

Nothing takes Him by surprise.”

“Ask, Seek and Knock,”

I heard my Savior say to me.

I’ll surround you “as with a shield,”

Continue to follow Me.

“My soul,

Wait silently

For God alone,

For my expectation

Is from Him.

He only is my Rock

And my salvation;

My defense;

I shall not be moved.”

Psalm 62:5-6

Scripture referenced, Matthew 7:7, Matthew 7:25, Exodus 33:21, and Psalm 5:12.

Glory Sky!

Rushing wind under moon lite sky;

God of all the universe stirs heaven on high.

Mighty angels,

Good news they bring;

Glory, Glory, Glory,

To the coming of our King!

“Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields , keeping watch over their flocks by night.

And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid.

Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.””

Luke 2:8-10 NKJV

Glorious Sunrise

Splendor-light,

Our God’s heart;

Mercifully tender.

The splendor-light of heaven’s glorious sunrise is about to break upon us in Holy visitation, all because the merciful heart of our God is so very tender.” Luke 1:78 TPT

On Golden-Wings

Paint the sky

With ribbons of blue!

Puffy-white clouds,

All praising You!

Golden-winged rays,

To light up the day;

Perfect in You,

As Your order our ways.”

“The steps of a (good) man are ordered by the LORD;

And He delights in his ways.

Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down;

For the LORD upholds him with His hand.”

Psalm 37:23-24 NKJV

Glowing Peace

Christmas closer every day;

Sing-song carols jingle-way.

But in the midst of

Come-and-go,

Let my heart seek

The Son,

Who causes

The stars to glow.

“To give light to those who sit in darkness

And the shadow of death,

To guide our feet

Into the way of peace.”

Luke 1:79 NKJV

December First

December 1st.

The first time to

Experience Christmas;

The first time to see

Snow glisten.

The first time the

Air is clear

The first time the

Ear to hear.

“Lord, let December be like

The first time

My heart did listen.”

“Your words were found,

And I ate them,

And Your Word was to me the

Joy and rejoicing

Of my heart;

For I am called by

Your name.”

Jeremiah 15:16 NKJV

“Did not our hearts

Burn within us

While He talked with us ..

And while He open the Scriptures to us?

Luke 24:32

Lead On

“Every right turn,

Would have been wrong;

If not for Your Word,

Leading me on.”

“This is the way, walk in it,”

Whenever you turn to right hand

Or whenever you turn to the left.”

Isaiah 30:21 NKJV

“Your Word is a lamp to my feet

And a light to my path.”

Psalm 119:105 NKJV

Safety’s Path

Thank you, Lord,

For the good nights sleep.

Forgive me my trespasses;

You know them deep.

Let this time by a pleasure to You;

For You alone,

Know my heart as You do.

Keep me steady,

On safety’s path;

For I choose for You to lead,

No looking back.”

“The Lord is my Shepherd;

I shall not want.

He makes me lie down in green pastures;

He leads me beside still waters.

He restores my soul;

He leads me in the paths

Of Righteousness

For His name’s sake.”

Psalm 23:1-2 NKJV

Where Kindness Starts

Reading helps expand the mind;

From my small thoughts,

To Yours divine.

Travel pushes me past the place;

Comfort flees –

Makes way for Grace.

Sleep lulls me into arms;

Holding tight

In midst of storms.

Love opens up the heart,;

Reminding me,

Where kindness starts.”

“At each and every sunrise

We will be thanking You

For Your Kindness and Love.

As the sunsets

And all through the night,

We will keep proclaiming,

“You are so faithful!”

Psalm 92:2 & 3 TP

Visit Please Do

“Little lone deer,

“Where’s your momma gone?”

She’s left you to run and play,

In the golden field long.

Come up for water,

Visit please do,

Nibble in the garden,

I see an acorn or two.

Little lone deer,

You’ll grow strong each day.

Joy comes in the morning,

Go, run and play!

“Oh look!” I see a friend,

He’s following after you.

You won’t be alone again,

He’ll come and play with you.”

Dedicated to a little deer who from what we can tell, is here on our property by herself. She often comes right up to the back porch.

Many deer live and roam freely here but generally they herd together.

Standing at the kitchen sink this morning, a “lone deer” caught my eye running and playing in the field. The deer was at a distance, and I couldn’t be sure if it was her.

“How sweet, she’s chasing the birds in play,” but thinking she was by herself made my heart sad.

Rejoice, not more than a few minutes later, another “lone deer” came up to play too!

“Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed,

Because His compassions fall not.

They are new every morning;

Great is Your faithfulness,

“The LORD is my portion,” says my soul,

“Therefore I hope in Him!”

Lamentations 3:23-24 NKJV
