Hell Weeks,Hell Yeah!

First of all,thanks be to God for his guidance through last week. The Big Assignment has been done,and so hunting session with magangers JePret.

As for now,I still have my maquette to be done (which is took me soooo damn long coz I got enormous size of land,geez).

What I want to say is – that these weeks – going to be like hell! Yeah!

Why so,u may ask?

Well u see…
1. There’s this big assignment for 2 subjects,Modern Architecture Study and Structure,Construction,and Material. Both subjects due on next Tuesday,WHICH is I haven’t done ANY of them.
2. Next Wednesday there may be a test on acoustic chapter of Building Physics Engineering subject,WHICH I still didn’t get any of it.
3. I’ve to prepare for presentation about my house design for the client,which is still unsure when (and why the Ma’am can’t come to attend the presentation today)
4. There’s this construction drawing task,as a continuance from the last design drawing. This task may only marks 10% of the whole credits,but the pressure is not that slight though. Almost 12-15 drawings are due on next Friday,WHICH (I’m in love with this word,lol) I have started any yet.

Thankfully last Sunday I’ve got some time to spend with my gf. Yeah,we went to church together,and watched movie in cinema (Wow,it’s been like 1 month since the last I went to the cinema!). Oh,and also I went to Tangkuban Perahu mountain with Magangers Jepret. We hunted down for some landscape photos (WHICH I found mine was not satisfying enough).

Yeah,I’ve complained all the things I could explained above,and yet I haven’t finished my maquette and here I am sitting in front of my notebook,writing all this blabbers.

That’s a bit of my life for now. Oh,n I’ve just got this oldie song by Jojo – Too Little Too Late. It’s kinda reminded me back to 2006 where I was preparing for NTU’s entrance examination in A level class with some friends.

God dammit!!

I wonder how many times I’ve shouted that word above this week.

Yeah,I got really stress right now!
Why not?

Final Assignment of AR2200 (Architectural Design Studio 2) is due on Friday,and I’ve got only small amount drawings,yet to be rendered.
Tomorrow there’s a presentation on creative thinking,and I’ve not prepared anything for the presentation.
Friday I’ll have a meeting with former Student’s Church Father.
Last but not least,I’m having this sleepy head all along this week. (okay,that’s not important :P)

Anyway,yeah,in time like this I really need to be calm. (Okay I am calm enough,I scream around and yelling at others who disturb me)
And yet here I am,writing a blog,with my plain paper stretched on my tracing table. Gosh!!

Oh well,It’s time to be back at the tracing table,with my plain paper awaits to be drawn.

Wish me luck,friends! Hopefully next week I’ve come back to earth (right now I’m feeling like in hell… yeah,it’s kinda hot in my room. :P)

Ich verstehe das nicht!

Confused with the title? Actually that’s what I exclaimed (in my heart,of course) in today’s German course. It means I don’t understand.

As some of u knew already,I’m taking a German course starting today. It’s held at Goethe Institut Bandung,and some of you may be wondering why I took a German course while studying at Architecture department is crazy like hell.

Actually I’ve thought about taking a language course,whether it’s Dutch,German,or French. However,I haven’t been taken any course yet because I was considering whether I really need a language course or not. After all,school is hard and I don’t think I can handle it.

However,about two or three weeks ago,there’s an event held by ITB Architecture Students’ Organization which is very interesting. The main point is about sharing by one of our Department teacher who were post-graduated from Germany,and also have gone to Germany for several times as guest lecturer.

There,he told us everything about schooling in Germany. From what we need to prepare,how’s the culture there,until the period of schooling for master and post-graduate programs. I wasn’t amused at first because I’ve no idea about schooling in Germany,as my dream is to pursue Master in Netherlands. However,THIS teacher exactly knows how to attract his students (one of them is ME) to get excited to pursue for higher education in Germany. Not only educational things that he shared with us,he shown us pictures of Germany’s landscapes (which is sooo amusing!).

One thing from the sharing – that I remembered so much – is that he told us it is important to prepare the language (German – of course) before we went there to study,because most of German people respect persons who are capable (at least you know a little bit) of German.

Therefore I decided to take a course on German. Although I’ve always dreaming of going to Netherlands,it’s worth a try to study on different language,which is German. And in my opinion,it’s hundred times harder than Dutch! (There are articles based on female or male thing,and they also have tenses!). Though it’s hard and I surely will have less leisure time,I believed that it’s always worthy to study something new.

Well that’s a lil’ update on my life. I’m so tired today,class is from 7 A.M and I’ve just gotten home at 9 P.M,so I guess I’ll have an early night sleep.

lil’ update on life

Yeaaah,it’s been so long since the last I posted a writing.

Anyway,lately I couldn’t go blogging coz I have deadlines,and for last week I’ve just gotten through mid-tests,which is in my opinion are horrible. I only can hope for the best….(so desperado….)

For yesterday and today,I’ve done nothing useful! Note that!! Isn’t that awesome? All I did is playing PSOne and Plurking all day (I use Plurk – the users are called by Plurker n the activity called Plurking). It’s even more addicted than Facebook! (I’ve left facebook for a day or two,I guess…)

Anyway,nothing special for today,except that next sunday is Palm Sunday,which is cool for me,lol. Oh,I also have made a new blog! It’s hosted on wordpress.com and dedicated to Indonesian readers only. So,my friends,don’t forget to drop by! It’s Bocah Roti. The first posts may seems like a hard ones,but I’ll assure you that for the following posts I’ll make it more relax.

Deadline n Kambing Jantan

Lately my life’s filled with deadlines,and I’m enough of this (at last,the deadline is due on last thursday,which means I can get back to normal life for a while…). Anyway,this must be celebrated by….sleeping all day? Nah,I can’t do that.

Why?

Coz’ there are things to do this week! Yup,I have a training for photography club in Architecture Student Community (we call it Himpunan),and for tomorrow I’ll be the photographer for Indonesian Students’ National Energy Conference (KENMI 2009- Konferensi Energi Nasional Mahasiswa Indonesia),which will be started since 7 in the morning (as I’ll be part of the crew,I need to come earlier,which is 6 in the morning!!) So,it won’t be as relax weekend I supposed to have after deadline. Anyway I won’t blame these business because I’ve made my choice,n I think it’s a good opportunity I can’t miss (the conference,i meant). Who knows,maybe there’ll be interesting energy solutions brought by so many students from all over Indonesia?

Anyway I’ve just watched this famous Indonesian movie. It’s Kambing Jantan The Movie,which is a movie adapted from a best selling book entitled the same,Kambing Jantan. The book itself consists of writings by a writer named Raditya Dika,who is actually a blogger,and all the contains of the book is mainly the blog itself. It consists of his daily life;school,love,friends,and many more. However it’s not just an ordinary blog,it’s kinda full of foolishness,which I think is a good thing because it can initiate laughter. Me myself laughed when I’ve only read 2 pages!

Back to the movie,I think it’s kinda different from the book itself. There are some additions,which I didn’t find in the book (maybe it’s marketing strategy to make it more interesting). Though mainly the movie consists of foolishness,there are some good things too. For example,from the movie we can know that what’s our parents thought the best for us maybe it’s not really as good as they thought,and we should pursue a career based on what we really like. A simple thing like writing should do,just like Raditya Dika himself.

In short it’s a worth-watch movie (for an Indonesian movie to be watched in cinema,lol). Oh,and it’s also fun because I watched the movie together with Mac,Soen,Janette,Laura,and Hendy,especially I haven’t met Janette and Laura for really a long time! We should hang out together more often!

That’s all ’bout today,n it’s really late! I should’ve gone asleep earlier! Bye now!

a day without msn n multi-tasking

As written above,yeah,today I pass the day without msn! Isn’t it cooL? (well,I can’t give up on facebook and youtube though),but still in my opinion it’s an achievement,as I usually get addicted to msn. In addition,I can do lot of things instead of chatting on msn,which is good and I think I can do this in coming days where I’ll face deadlines (gosh…).

Anyway,lately I’ve been doing a test on myself,which IS to multi-task. In detail,it means to do the several thing s simultaneously. Here are the results :

Day 1
Do’s = preparing a design for house ground plan review,making structural assignment,and review on Dutch notes.
Result = ground plan was REJECTED,structural assignment was a total mess,and I only remember 1-10 in dutch.

Day 2
Do’s = (another) review on dutch,review on Piano sheets,and thinking of the idea for KENMI 2009 advertisement.
Result = still only remember 1-10 in dutch,messing up in Piano course,and the advertisements looked horrible…

Day 3
Do’s = redesign on house ground plan,read up a beginner Chinese lesson book,and read up old French notes.
Result = still no idea on ground plan,ended up suffered from headache because of those Chinese characters,and watched up FTV. 😛

In short,I’ve FAILED to do multi-tasking job. Well,it’s like I’m not good enough in maintaining works in the same time. I guess it’ll be better if I make a priority list,so that I won’t ended up in another multi-tasking job.

P.S.: Wow,2 days ago was my 2nd month anniversary with my gf! Well,nothing special coz she’s busy with offset thing. Just wanna say glad that I still have u until today. Love a lot! 🙂

boys’ night out

As I said before,I’m gonna upload a videos on how I spent my val’s day. However,it turns out to be harder than I expected. Yeah,the editing process took longer time,and also I have a life called school (which sucks my times up). I’ll let y’all updated if it’s been posted.

Anyway,there’s this fun thing happened. As usual,me n my housemates will decide where to go for dinner. However,one of my besties came up with the idea to eat at a new place. He said it’s kinda famous for it’s satay size. Me n Mac didn’t really know what it’s like,so we agreed with him. There’s 4 of us;me,Mac,Soen n Hendy. We went there by motorcycle. It’s not too far (by motorcycle),n what’s Soen said earlier is true! The satay is really big! What is more interesting is that the price is not too expensive! A dish consisted of 10 satays and plain rice costs us 10k IDR only!

While we were enjoying our satays,Soen said that we’re not too far away from BSM (Bandun Super Mall – which I always assumed it’s like far-far away from our place). Given the idea that it’s not so far away,we all agreed that we should go there. And so we arrived at BSM shortly. I was kinda amused,because never have I found a mall big like this in Bandung,and as addition the interior reminded me of Plaza Senayan in Jakarta.  There,we went by,looking around,when we stopped at the play land. Yes,it’s a big play land,kinda like Dufan in Jakarta (not that big,of course!). And so we began so excited to try the rides! Finally the choice is on the Bom-bom Car (It’s like crashing your car over others – I don’t know what’s the English word of this 🙂 ). It’s awesome! I played this like 2 years ago,and it’s really refreshing! After playing and walking around,we decided to went back home,and it’s around 10 PM when we arrived at our house.

And that’s how we spent our Sunday night. Sort of boys’ night out,eh? Kinda gross,d’ya think? Well,actually you should try it yourself sometimes!

crazy first weeks n FUN-lentine day

If u wonder why I haven’t posted anything new lately,blame on my new semester schedule. It’s killing me,ever since the very first day of this semester! Just imagine,monday to thursday classes are from 7 AM till 5 PM! Gosh! Even high school wasn’t that crazy! Moreover,my teachers are getting excited about giving us simultaneous tasks,saying that we are “Highly educated people with high level of intelligent”. What the F? High IQ result,maybe yes. But,HELLO,we are human,n we need to rest too! (okay,I start complaining,blah blah)

Anyway today is valentine day,which is celebrated by most of couple on this earth. In my opinion valentine is not that so special day,where couple should do something cliche,i.e: candlelight dinner,or whatsoever. However,this is becoming a stereotype,that in valentine someone should give something to his/her partner. Well,if u think so,then you’re not sharing the same opinion with me.

WHY?

Because Valentine day is not MAKE LOVE day. Actually it’s a day where we should share love to people we know,sharing joy and happiness,not just make out with your bf or gf. And that’s why,I wanted my valentine to be different from other couples. Yes,we do uncommon thing,which is you might be wondering what is it about now,yes?

What we do is : travel around Bandung,using public transportation (read=ANGKOT) lol! Yes,we do travel to several interesting (or not) places in Bandung,instead of having such a lame so called candle light dinner and doing some romantic chit-chat. Yes,we really enjoy our times while we were traveling around the city. I really meant it,what is more important than seeing her smile and excitement? (so sweet of me,eh? :P).

Anyway,here’s the list of places we’ve gone today :

  • Pasar Baru Trade Center @ Jl. Veteran
  • Alun-alun + Masjid Raya Bandung
  • SMAN 3 and SMAN 5
  • accidentally arrived at SMAN 5’s art fest (or PenSi)
  • got lost at Persib’s Stadium 😛
  • Ciumbuleuit 151 LOL.

And that’s what Sarah and I did this valentine. I’m glad that I’ve had such a creative gf (actually she’s the one who gave the idea about traveling around Bandung,lol). Hopefully my guide around Bandung is satisfying enough for her (well,I think I should’ve taken a tourism major…nah,jk,lol). And that’s all for today. Anyway,tell me what did you do on valentine then! I thought it should be fun,either you are single or in a relationship though. 🙂

shopping n gastritis

As it’s said on the title,yeah,I went shopping yesterday,lawl. No,not shopping in the means of girls,I call it ‘boys’ shopping time’,lmao! Ok,so yesterday I went to Mangga Dua with my mom n dad,I’ve told them earlier that I wanna buy new speakers and headphone (read my 2 previous post,entitled month-aversary n GPA for more info). Before I went there,I’ve looked up for the type of the speakers n headphone,and I picked on Sennheiser HD 201, HD 202, HD 437, and Creative HQ 1400 for headphone. For speakers I looked upon Creative T3100 only. First thing first I did when we got there,I went to Creative official reseller. There,I tried several speakers and headphone,included the HQ 1400 and T3100 (I tried on X-Fi Aurvana Headphone too,and it’s sounded superb! So did the price too,sadly…).

After that,we went on to look around for cheaper price. Oh,before I forgot,at the official store,they sell the T3100 at 750k IDR and the HQ 1400 at 350k IDR (1 USD=11.5k IDR). Near from the store,there is this big store named BHINNEKA (for Jakarta residents,u must’ve known this name! It’s so famous on the net,check it out at bhinneka.com!). There I asked the nice lady ’bout the headphone and the speakers, and luckily they have it. They sell the HD 202 for 300k IDR at first,n the T3100 for 660k IDR. (I’ll let u know why finally I pick on the HD 202 in later post though.) I thought the price is kinda reasonable,but when I told Randy bout the price,he said that the headphone was kinda expensive. It’s supposed to be sold around 250k IDR.

BUT before I made my final decision,there’s an evil whispering around me. Yep,my dad told me that there were Altec Lansing speakers,which seems to good to be passed. So we went there,a corner full of Altec Lansing speakers,with this super-sales man who are so pushy to make me buy more expensive items! (geez,salesmen are so scary!). And there’s this Altec Lansing VS 2421,colored in black,with redden subs n satellite units. I dunno what’s into myself,but suddenly I thought,THESE are my new speakers. Then,I asked the man the price,and surprisingly,it’s only 30k IDR more expensive than the Creative one! Well,of course I fell in love in all of a sudden (Well,why not? Everyone knows already HOW Altec’s sounded,rite?). However,I thought the price still kinda expensive (my AngPao won’t cover it,though…). So,here we go,my mom let out her secret ability to bargain,LMAO! U can’t believe how expert she is!

And the final result is…
Altec Lansing VS 2421 @ 670k IDR (picture below)

and Sennheiser HD 202 @ 260k IDR. (picture below,again (: )

Geez,those two things really enlightened my day! I knew I’ve spent too much,but it worths! I even felt like I’m healing from the stomach disorder I suffer from! (nah,I’m just over excited (: ).

Anyway,today I went to an internist @ Jl. Pemuda. He’s known as the expert in stomach problems,and so I got examined. The result is,I suffer from Gastritis! Geez,no wonder my stomach’s like growling all over the time! In the end,he gave me these drugs (which are unbelievably expensive!) for my stomach. Hopefully I’ll be full recovered before I go back to Bandung.

Well,kinda long post (and I still owe you the explanation on why I picked on the HD 202,no?),hope u didn’t get bored with it,lol. Catch up later guys!

CNY n Acute Stomach Disorder (Maag)

Hey guys! Finally I can reach my notebook again to write up something…

First of all,I wanna wish y’all Happy Chinese New Year 2560 ! May the year of Ox bring us prosperity and wealth!

This year’s CNY is absolutely a total disaster for me. As u know,usually on the night before the CNY day,families are gathering to eat together,in order to meet and greet each other (especially if the families not live in the same city or country). However,this year I got a ‘fabulous’ present,which is an Acute Stomach Disorder (or so-called MAAG). DANG it! How could in the CNY I got this kind of illness??

So,yeah,I couldn’t celebrate the CNY in joyfulness (FYI I even didn’t eat much enough! Oh my,I missed the peking duck!!). Anyway the good news is,I’m recovering right now. Hopefully before I went back to Bandung,Ill be able to eat normally (well,nowadays I’ve to eat every 2 hours,otherwise my stomach gonna ‘hit-me-up’ again…darn it!).
