Soldered Jewelry Tutorial - Springtime Inspired Necklace

I don't know about you, but I am ready for spring! How about getting a head start on springtime with this pretty soldered necklace tutorial video! You can use any color beads you like to represent your favorite springtime flowers - one of my favorites is forsythia, so I used yellow crystal beads for my necklace.

I'm happy to finally have some time to make some new jewelry making videos, and I just put up a new video yesterday on my YouTube channel, so be sure to check it out!

In this video I demonstrate how to turn something as simple as wire and a few beads into a springtime inspired necklace, using a simple soldering iron!

In the video I demonstrate how to do this technique step-by-step, and you can follow along and work at your own pace - that's what I love about videos!

Be sure to check out the video and as always, I list all of the tools and materials that I use in the project in the description below the video.

And while you're there don't forget to subscribe and don't forget to hit the little bell next to the subscribe button so that you can get notified whenever I release a new video!

Paper Mache Folk Art Painted Heart | Video Tutorial

I've been on a roll with the heart crafts this month, especially since Valentine's Day is right around the corner and also to help get us though some pretty miserable winter weather!

It's so cozy to be inside, doing something creative while temperatures outside drop! So this next project should warm your heart and give you some fun, relaxing, creative time.

This paper mache heart is easy to make an you can personalize it by painting it however you like. You can use my technique as a guide or you can completely go your own direction, choosing your favorite colors and styles.

I used acrylic paints and you can find the complete video tutorial here, as well as a list of all of my tools and materials in the video's description.  As always, the tools and materials are simple and you most likely already have most if not all of them in your home.

Gather up your supplies! Check out the step-by-step video tutorial here and have a great weekend!

Upcycled Lace & Wire Heart | Video Tutorial

I've written in the past about the different ways that you can use personal mementos in art and craft projects, especially fabrics such as your father's tie, your child's old baby blanket, your mother's wedding veil or lace, and even old doilies and left over fabric remnants from other sewing projects.

This lace and wire heart is the perfect example of one of the things you can do with those pieces—but if you don't want to use a fabric that has personal or sentimental value to you, you can use any scrap that you have on hand.

If you're looking for materials, don't forget to check your local thrift stores, there are tons of possibilities in the aisles!

I've created a video tutorial to show you exactly how to make a lace and wire heart. The tools and materials are simple and you most likely already have most if not all of them in your home.

DIY Decoupaged Seashells | Fancy Mermaid Shells DIY Tutorial

If you're a beachcomber like I am and have lots of seashells at home, this is a fun and creative way to do something special with them. Decoupaged shells have been popular for a while now and I was determined to try out the craft for myself!

You only need a few basic supplies and in a little bit of time you will have lovely, fancy decoupaged shells suitable to give as gifts to your very favorite mermaid!

I've had these shells in my workshop for what seems like forever! I had planned on building them into a stained glass lamp but... you know how that goes when you get busy with other things. Mine are scallop shells but you can use oyster shells or large clam shells too.

I created a video tutorial for how I made mine, so be sure to check it out!

Below are the basic supplies you will need, which I explain in more detail in the video.

Thanks for watching and I hope you are having a great start to your New Year! And don't forget to head on over to my YouTube channel and see what else is new!
