We produced the fluorescent and other acrylic visual merchandisers for BCBG Max Azria 40th and 5th Ave New York, NY as well as locations around the world. We also produced their visual windows in 2008.

Bellman's Portsmouth Jewelry Store by Display Direct

This is a beautiful store we produced in Portsmouth, New Hampshire for Bellman’s Portsmouth Jewelry a few years ago. It is a stunning space. We produced the custom
curved glass on glass display cases with wood veneer bases. We also produced three
cases that inserted into the wall halfway creating a beautiful floating reveal. We are
looking forward to assisting you on your project!

Congratulations, if you are reading this you have almost finished 2011!
We have had the privilege of working with flurries of amazing people on
gusts of exciting creative commercial projects this year. Whatever the future
weather holds for us and for our clients, we hope to be involved in helping
you look ahead to how we can be better at assisting you in 2012.

To fulfill demand, we have added a new division Hava Studios, which is your source for custom artistic consulting and production. The creative team at Hava was able to produce an architectural artistic element prop for a cutting edge outdoor fashion show, assist a professional artist in preparing his sculptural prototype for glass casting, and provided consulting for numerous artists, galleries & museums. Never a dull moment…

Display Direct continues to serve jewelers, a variety of retailers, architects/ designers,
manufacturers, & other organizations. So far the winter weather outside my office has
been stormy, just like the economy. But in Kansas we say,

It’s the End of the Year As We Know It; And We Feel Fine

Christmas, Hanukkah, the holidays, are approaching; and after the end of the year.
Whether 2011 is the “It’s the End of the World as We Know It” as in the song of the same
name by recently defunct band R.E.M., or just the end of the year, we are hopeful
and sure you are as well that 2012 this next year will spell the beginning of a rebound
in the economy, not only in the US, but around the world. We know we could sure
use an injection of good news and some sales. While we have seen sales dip, we

Lindy’s, a Jewel of a Jewelry Store on the Beach

We do beautiful work. Believe me, or not. Ask Lindy’s, a quaint jewelry store in Fernandina Beach, FL. Just 100 yards from the beach on the island of Fernandina Beach, FL is situated Lindy’s, a well established fixture of the community. Lindy the owner operates this beautiful retail store herself. One day while in Florida for a trade show,
I made the drive from Orlando, East and then North up the coast and out over the bridge
to Fernandina Beach. I took some photos of the jewelry display cases, and chatted with Lindy about business and life. We headed over to a local restaurant for an amazing lunch and then back to Orlando to fly out back to Lawrence, Kansas and the Midwest. What I love about what Display Direct and Hava Studios does, is that we build relationships, not for a day, but for the long haul. Lindy is still using these cases today. Artist Commercial Environment™, an investment for today and for tomorrow.

Bicycle Shop

A shop in California is launching a new location in Las Vegas. They asked us to produce a custom bicycle work station for the new store. We thought it might be helpful to see an
example of how this process works, so here are the initial drawings we received and then
the renderings produced for production. Once the project is finished I will post images of the final work. We were also asked to produce a custom cash wrap and check out stand and a custom inner tube display. Retro Custom Turntable

While most of the work we produce is for commercial applications we on occasion will work on a residential project especially an interesting one. We were approached about
producing a custom motor mount and turntable mount in acrylic for a retro custom
high end turntable (or record player). The acrylic provides less vibration than another
material which is required for very high end turntable devices. We were glad to assist
and in turn had the great pleasure of being invited to an evening of hors d’oeuvres and
amazing sounds from the tube amped turntable. It was if we were listening on stage during
each performance. The house was beautifully custom designed by an architect and the owner had a fabulous Eames dinning room chair and table set which our company
is most capable of providing.
