Mushrooms Mushrooms Everywhere

One result of our constant rain is mushrooms sprouting up all over the place. My grass is already knee-deep and the ground is so mushy, it'll take a week of hot, dry weather before it can mowed. My heart goes out to all the people in Atlanta and the famililes of those who have lost their lives.

Otherwise, things are quiet here and I'm not complaining. I love quiet. I am working on two writing projects I hope to pitch in Atlanta if the weather improves so we can get there. Plus I bought several books at a book sale last week to read over the winter. My problem is finding time to do all the things I enjoy.

In Need of a Boat

It has rained every day this week and today we had flash floods at lunch when I was out and I have never seen the streets flooded so bad. I had to drive through some areas where the street was like a river. My nerves were shot and by the time I got home, I was having chest pains. But, at least, I made it home and I'm thankful for that.

The rain cleared off for a couple of hours and now it is back again. The forecast is for rain the rest of the weekend. I am hoping it won't be so bad tomorrow as a bookstore is having a book sale I would like to go to. Also Movie Gallery has movies on sale for $5.

Since I finished and submitted Almost An Outlaw, I have now started on a new writing project. It is going to be a major project, that I'm calling the Merlin story, and I have a lot of research to do but I love research!
