IU – Sogyeokdong

Here I am again. And instead of doing this school requirement that needs to be checked tomorrow, I am here. LOL

This is the music video of IU’s latest single, which is collaborated with renowned Korean singer (correct me if I’m wrong), Seo Taiji. This song has two versions – IU’s and Seo Taiji’s.

As I said, this is the music video of IU’s version of the song which was released less than two hours earlier. And I have been playing this for like less than twenty times – and counting. LOL.

The MV is about this two teens (I suppose) that had fell to each other. Well, the description of the video says that the lyrics tells about Sogyeokdong (which I realized lately was a place in South Korea) during the 80’s, telling why it’s like they have curfew every night (there were no one outside those times, in the MV tho.)

I was confused in the ending tho. I mean, The girl has given a note to the guy telling him to meet her when the lights go off. And when he arrives there, she wasn’t there and the place he went seems like robbed (for the things there were ruined and not in order.) I believe something happened to the girl. Maybe she was kidnapped or who knows.

Somebody told me that there’ll be a part two of this MV, which will be Seo Taiji’s version’s music video. And I am really looking forward to this MV to fully understand the story behind the mv.

Taiyou no Uta

Yui_-_Taiyou_no_Uta

In my high school days (wait, was that, like 2 decades ago? Kidding!), I really got into anime theme songs, thus liking Japanese songs. I also share this with my classmates then, and we exchange songs. I mean, I recommend them to listen to this Anime song and they would tell me to listen to this. Then a classmate made me listen to a song from this JMovie, Koizora, which made me had this LSS. I searched for a video of the song on Youtube, and while watching the vid for the song, I saw this suggestion video (well I forgot where it was located then, but now, it’d be the vids on the right side), and tried watching it. Then I discovered that this song is from a JDrama. I googled this JDrama, which is Taiyou no Uta. I read the results and saw that it was adapted from a movie of the same title. I checked the link of the movie and read the synopsis. ‘Twas good, I supposed, and from then on, I really longed to watch this.

And recently(thanks to Torrent), I’ve downloaded it and watched it. I was really excited to watch this, ’cause for like 5 or 6 years of waiting, I’ve got the chance to watch this.

Oookay! So Taiyou no Uta or Song to the Sun tells the story of a 16 year-old girl named Kaoru, played by singer YUI, who has this very rare skin disease Xenoderma Pigmentosum or XP, which causes the sun rays very deadly to her. She wasn’t able to go outside during the morning but she does every night, to sing in the train station. One night while singing there, he saw this guy, Kouji, who, I believe, was her long time crush, for she sees him every morning when she is looking outside from her windows. The two became friends and later had a relationship. Once, while practicing at home, Kaoru had this problem in her left hand, and when she was checked by the doctor, it was discovered that her disease has already affected her nervous system, which will slowly paralyze her. In this condition, she still continued her musician life and was given the chance (with Kouji and Kaorus’s family’s help) to record her original songs.

Well it ended okay. I mean, I disliked the ending, t’twas like the ending of A Walk to Remember, where (SPOILERS AHEAD) Kaoru just died. I mean, the movie didn’t show her suffering a lot. I guess I am just a fan of tragic stories, so I was waiting for scenes where they’re crying ’cause Kaoru’s nearly dying.

I just like YUI here. She sings well, but she just look like she’s crying singing high parts.

Do watch this movie and tell me what you think bout it. 🙂

Holler – SNSD-TTS Second Mini Album

cover

(Cover of the CD of SNSD-TTS’s second Mini Album, Holler)

I am a KPop fan. I am more into solo singers but recently I am starting to like groups. And here’s Girls’ Generation(GG)/Sonyeo Shidae(SNSD). I know a lot of people nowadays know them, but for the sake of others, SNSD is a nine-member girl group of SM Entertainment. So this group have their sub-group: TTS, which is the acronym of the three main vocals of SNSD, Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun. After 2 years of being on hiatus, the sub-group has come back with their second mini album, Holler.

Holler has six tracks: Holler; Adrenaline; Whisper; Stay; Only U; EYES. Their songs here are from different genres. And it reminds me a lot of IU’s Modern Times.

Holler, the title track is an upbeat song. The lyrics were equally allotted here. There was this rap part, and I was expecting Taeyeon and Seohyun to be rapping, but they weren’t.

Adrenaline, is another upbeat songIt sounds like a song for fast ballroom dance, well they did perform this in their comeback stage and they were dancing ballroom, not familiar what dance exactly, though.

Whisper, third song in the album. This was pre-released few days before the album was released. It’s ballady (dunno if it really is), well it’s slow and I just like it. LOL. And this is one of my faves in the album ❤

Stay, fourth track. The song’s good. There was also a rap part. At first, I thought Tiffany was with another one of the three rapping there, but when I searched the lyrics, ’twas just all Tiffany’s part. I like this song, too.

Only U. This is my most favorite track, with Seohyun starting the song. And I think she’s got lots of parts here. I just like her face and her voice. Especially the last part where she sung …Only for you, you, you, I feel like she’s singing this to me.

EYES, another upbeat song. I thought it was Seohyun who started the song here, but ’twas Taeyeon and she has this high note.

All in all, the lyrics are allotted to them equally, and it’s amazing, knowing SM Ent allotting lots of parts of the lyrics to the main vocals(Well, they are all in the vocals.) And if I would rank them from my most fave to the least, it’d be: Only U, Stay, Whisper, EYES, Adrenaline, Holler. (That is just MY OPINION)

So, did you like the latest mini-album of TTS? 🙂

Book Review: Flip by Martyn Bedford

Okay. This is gonna be my first  – not so – serious post.

Ever wake up in someone else’s body?

This is gonna be my review for Flip. Flip is a young adult novel by Martyn Bedford. The story is about a boy – Alex – who woke up one morning in a different bedroom – well, that’s really how it started – and few moments later he discovered that he really woke up in somebody else’s body(Philip’s). The story goes on telling about the happenings in Alex’s life as Philip – or Flip, as his classmates call him. Nobody knew that Flip was really Alex inside. They just thought that he’s acting weird. He then discovered what really happened to his real body and about his condition.

So I think I’ll just stop there. Cause maybe I’ll spoil the readers if I go on telling the story.

Flip’s story is unique, I mean I haven’t read any story yet with the same theme – two people changing souls,  uh well if there are any, just leave thy comments down there. And if there’d be a chance, I wish to have a film adaptation for this book. It is awesome though I dislike the ending – well, because I’m a tragedy fan – but if you are a fan of happy endings, you might like the ending. 🙂

Welcome to WordPress

Well, this is gonna be my first wordpress post and, nothing. I really just wanna share it. Ahahaha.

This account would just be a place to express my thoughts about almost anything. Well, I guess it’d all be about KPop or things.

Anyways, just read the posts if you want to. I ain’t forcing you to read. LOL
