Coming Soon – Photo Improvement II

After 10 years, it’s time to bring this current Photo Improvement website into the modern age – introducing Photo Improvement II.

All of the current site’s content has been transferred to the new site so, if you login, only the design/format has changed (and will continue to change). Click Blog, in PI II’s menu, to see all of PI I’s 2500+ current posts.

Please read the (temporary) PI II home page for some of the change’s why’s-and-wherefore’s. You’ll note that soon any logins to the original site, where you are now, will be redirected to PI II and  no further posts will be made to PI I. To get ahead of the game, subscribe to the new site while you’re there today.

Any comments/questions are greatly appreciated.

Affinity Photo with a Nik Plugin Filter

This image is similar to those I did in-camera in my DSLR days via multiple exposures and/or camera motion. This biggest difference is that this Affinity/Nik method is much easier.

The possibilities are endless.

Original

My New Photo Editor

Just getting started with Affinity Photo after years of Photoshop. For starters, decided to try to replicate some of my favorite PS projects – starting with what I call Out-of-Frame. Here are examples from my past work – An Out-of-Frame Portfolio

AND – here’s my first attempt with AP. Not quite what I want, but close.

A Photo Portfolio Flip-Book

Please Click HERE & Read Me

This is part of my on-going photo eBook trials, a Flip-Book.This version is the best option IMO, but it’s probably too expensive for my regular use (I used a free trial plugin here).

Take a look (100+ nice photos) and let me know what you think.

Sorry for making you use the link to my other site, Thru Ed’s Eyes, where this book is located, but wordpress.com sites, in general, can’t use plugins.

A Photo eBook Library

I’m making a library of free photography eBooks. Take a look. Currently it has three books:

  • A Photo Portfolio Sampler
  • Photography – The Art & The Craft
  • Digital Infrared Photography

Next up in a week or so:

  • The Digital Zone System

More in the wings.
