An update on my New Years Resolutions.
First:
(2) Get rid of my GK. I have a purifer Grey Knight army I'm trying to get rid of. If interested let me know and we'll talk. I don't like playing this army at all, I like having to wear my big-boy pants when I play and this army does not require the same level of thought or play skill my other preferred armies do.
COMPLETED!
I am no longer in the GK Business for which I am very happy.
Also, committed to armies:
Dark Eldar
Sisters of Battle
Options to fill out #3 spot:
Chaos Space Marines
Tyranids
Imperial Guard
There will not be a number 4 army.
Finally, I want to really learn to play WarmaHordes this year and want to build and paint an army for the game. I need to pick a faction. After spending part of the day trying to decide on a faction it hit me. At one point in time I've had playable armies of at 35 points for each faction. Its a sickness. At this time I only want one but might end up with two.
Options for WarmaHordes:
Skorne
Circle
Khador
Retribution
Trolls
Mercenaries
And last but not least. My Confrontation Orcs got worked on a little this week, 5 models assembled, and Rantakh got primes this afternoon. He needs his Zenithal coat before the end of the day but then he's off to the paint table.
Happy Gaming

2012 Resolutions
I spent a fair amount of 2011 mired in gamer funk and didn't really accomplish much of what I had set out to do. I did downsize my collection though, so that was a success. Starting new in 2012 with a couple of eminently manageable hobby goals.
(1) Settle on between 3-4 40k armies to collect long term, rather than list/army hop. I've got 3 settles and the 4th is optional but still open.
-Dark Eldar: cause I love the army and the fact I have to play it well every time.
-Imperial guard because I miss it so much -either pratorion or traitor themed I think (maybe arbites themed guard)
-Chaos- Because its 4 armies in 1 and everyone should have a marine army.
#4 is up in the air, could be sisters (depending on how something works out), could be Tau, could be Craftworld Eldar- It won't be marines though.

(3)Paint my DE and whatever Guard army I build. New house means I'll actually have a real hobby space.
(4) Learn to paint NMM. Its time painting skills get pushed a little. I have a Confrontation Ork army that needs painting and this seems like a good project to learn on.
(5)Find a new skirmish game to really learn and play. Infinity, Helldorado, Anime Tactics, Malifaux are all candidates. At this point I wonder if I can get Infinity started locally. Who knows though.
(6)Play team tournament at WARGAMES Con. I'll be judging the Main Event but I should be able to play the team tournament. The Master Manipulator has talked about coming down to play with me so we'll see.
(7)Play more games.
I hope you and yours enjoy the new year and wish you all success at keeping your won hobby resolutions.
