PS I know that it’s been a minute since y’all heard from me. However, life has tossed me many changes these past two years. I’m back in my hometown Sweet Chicago. I may not respond to all your wonderful poetry, however I read it daily. So many of you are talented as well as inspirational.

so many times,

stand at the edge
without fear.
eyes held closed
with fingers that

emotions

Blood didn’t unite us, our friendship, mutual respect and love did. You struggled with mental health. Though you fought your inner demons, yet you showed and offered nothing but kindness to others. Your heart was full of love to give and it was also what took your life. You are missed my soul sister.

here in the states it is election time. All the ugly rhetoric has taken a toll on many of us, we are just exhausted by it. My dread is that VP Harris might not win and our Great American (we don’t need to make it great AGAIN it always was and will be) will be in the hands of a facist.
