Sage Chapter 1d

Hello and welcome to the final chapter of Generation One! First things first, I have some unhappy news to start with. I was playing on a new computer and it had started crashing and having all sorts of random problems, so I backed up my saves and returned it for a slightly better computer. Forgetful me, however, forgot to backup my screenshots. Luckily, I only had 10-15 pictures for this new chapter. Unfortunately, I lost those 10-15 pictures. So I’m going to give you a brief update to catch you all up (you really didn’t miss much).

  • Seth accomplished the first phase of his aspiration by successfully kissing 10 times and going on 2 dates. He accomplished all of this with his girlfriend Trisha. [I had adorable pictures of them 😦 ]
  • Willow has been working hard at her garden, but falling very behind in school. She was very close to getting a D when I chose to Study Hard for a test on a pop up. She is also on the second phase of her aspiration.
  • Reid has been…slightly neglected. He has, however, been doing quite well in school. Both Seth and Reid always get their homework completed and manage to stay in fair moods. Reid hasn’t worked any further on his aspiration, yet.
  • Phoenix has been trying to get that next work promotion, but it hasn’t happened yet. Everytime I wasn’t looking, she would run around hugging all of her children. It was the most adorable thing ever.

Sadly, with all of the craziness, I completely spaced that we had two birthdays coming up. I started back at my legacy with a very sad founder returning from work so that she could age up. I felt awful! The looks she was giving me didn’t help matters, either.

09-16-14_7-04 AM 09-16-14_7-04 AM-2 09-16-14_7-04 AM-3 09-16-14_7-04 AM-4

I gave her an elder appropriate makeover in attempts to cheer her up, but apparently it didn’t work. Don’t you like your new look, Phee?

Phoenix: Yeah, sure, but…but…I’m old.

09-16-14_7-18 AM

Truth be told, I was pretty sad as well. I had spent so much time focusing on the kids that I had somewhat totally neglected Phoenix’s aspiration. She hadn’t even gotten past the first tier of it. And of course, the loss of the founder is one of the most difficult. With that gray hair came the knowledge that Phee was living on borrowed time.

But alas, a legacy must go on! The very next morning, it was time for our eldest to age up. He hadn’t gotten past the second tier of his aspiration, so Willow continues to be in the lead for heir. I have decided that the easiest (and fastest) way to determine who becomes heir is to go by what they have accomplished by the time they age up to Young Adult. This way, I should have a decent idea of who will become heir without waiting for them all to age up (assuming they are close in age). Granted, this may not always work, but it is my method for now. This means that Seth is out of the running. Sorry Seth.

09-17-14_5-33 PM 09-17-14_5-33 PM-2

Seth: I’m good with it. I don’t have to live in this tiny house with my mom and siblings for the rest of my life. I’d call it a win.

Fair point.

And with that, I present you the still entirely cocky Seth Sage! He rolled the adult trait of Creative. This family is full of creativity. I think it’s pretty fitting.

09-17-14_5-34 PM

Despite being out of the running, I decided to work on Seth’s aspiration some more anyway. I wanted to complete as many as I could before he was moved out into the cold, lonely world. First, he needed to go on three dates with a bronze medal or better.

09-17-14_5-54 PM 09-17-14_6-31 PM-2 09-17-14_7-38 PM

Check. Check. And check. He actually got gold medals on all three, putting him at five gold date medals. And yes, those are three different women, because the next thing he had to do for his aspiration was to dump two people. I loved that he had been with Trisha since high school, so I couldn’t have him dump her. So I found two very willing ladies and had him ask them both to be his girlfriend. They eagerly said yes. There was actually a hilarious moment where he was on a date with one of them and the other two showed up. I thought that I had gotten a picture, but I must have been in too much of a panic.

In the meantime, Phoenix got a promotion! She actually reached the part where she got to choose which branch to take. She chose eSport Gamer. She had to place in a gaming competition, so she went to work straight away.

09-17-14_6-55 PM-2

Phoenix: And you thought you were a good healer in WoW. You ain’t got nothin on me!

Hey! I am a good healer! But anyway, moving on…She placed third, but placing was placing!

And then our first emergency happened. I’m amazed that I got pictures because I was kind of freaking out. Seth hadn’t prepared much other than salad growing up, so he apparently had no idea how to properly make Scrambled Eggs. He over peppered them and then he caught himself on fire.

09-17-14_7-04 PM-2 09-17-14_7-04 PM-3

It was a good thing that he was decent at working the fire extinguisher, because apparently Phoenix was more concerned with saving herself. She completely ignored my direction to put him out.

09-17-14_7-05 PM

Phoenix: I’m too young to die!!!

Right, because Seth isn’t. Mother of the Year Award right here.

Anyway, back to part two of Seth’s aspiration. Next up was the hard part. I have never been any good at playing “player” type sims, and to be honest, Seth was not a very good player.

09-17-14_7-08 PM-2

Seth: But, but look at her face. She’s so happy. I don’t want to do this.

You have to.

09-17-14_7-08 PM-4

Seth: Look, I’m sorry. You’re a wonderful girl and all. I like you, I do. It’s just…well…those red bracelets really clash with your purple dress. I just don’t think I can be with a girl that doesn’t know how to properly accesorize.

Forgotten Name Girl: Whaaaat? *Sobs*

09-17-14_7-09 PM-2 09-17-14_7-09 PM-3 09-17-14_7-09 PM-4

Seth: Ugh. I hate myself. That breakup was devastating. Did you see that broken heart above her head? I can’t live with myself!

09-17-14_7-09 PM-6

Seth: Please forgive me. I mean, I don’t want to get back together or anything, but please continue to be my completely platonic friend with bad fashion taste.

Forgotten Name Girl: Sure.

Relationships are kind of odd in Sims 4. Their romance bar is bright red, but their friendship bar wasn’t affected at all. I would have thought that would have taken a hit as well, but she called him a few days later to hang out. Then again, maybe she’s just holding out hope. Either way, breakups: 1/2.

09-17-14_7-10 PM-2

Being a gloomy sim, Seth took these breakups extra hard. Thankfully, pep talks work wonders. I sent him to give himself a couple of pep talks and called his other girlfriend over.

She cried.

09-17-14_7-24 PM-2

Then he cried.

09-17-14_7-24 PM-3

But he got over it when I told him he didn’t have to dump Trisha. Breakups: 2/2. Unfortunately, the third tier of his aspiration required kissing ten different sims and dating five (I think). He wasn’t going to have time to accomplish all of that, and being a gloomy sim, I was afraid the stress might kill him. I decided to give up on the point we could have earned for his aspiration and let him have what he truly wanted.

I quickly checked to make sure that Trisha lived with other sims so that we could bring her in for $0, and we lucked out!

Seth: Oh Trisha, I never knew what I truly wanted until I met you. Well, there was that phase after I met you where I still wasn’t sure…and there was a lot of stress and crying and other women, but now I know –

Trisha: Did you say other women?

Seth: Oh, uh…well you know I have a sister and I live with my mom. They’re always crying and…stuff.

Smooth, Seth, real smooooth.

09-17-14_7-46 PM

But it worked! I love how Seth is doing a little fist pump. So cute!

09-17-14_7-46 PM-2

Even more joyous (sorry Seth) was that it was finally Willow’s birthday! She hadn’t fulfilled her teen/adult aspiration yet, but she was still in the lead unless Reid could complete his aspiration AND max a skill. Willow completed the Social skill as a child, so she was even further in the lead.

09-17-14_7-50 PM

Willow: I wish….for an extremely hot man to marry and have many adorable babies with.

09-17-14_7-57 PM

And a post makeover shot! Willow rolled the adult trait of Music Lover, so in combination with her Botanist aspiration, I thought an earthy look would suit her. I have decided to let her pursue her aspiration for now and find her a job after she completes it. She will most likey go into the entertainer career since it fits so well with her Music Lover and Creative traits.

We immediately invited one of her many childhood guy friends over to romance. They had been keeping in touch in hopes that he would be good spouse material. This was when a few things went wrong.

  1. He was still a teenager. We could have waited for him, but they hadn’t even been romantic as teens, so it almost seemed pointless.
  2. He lived with other sims, so he wasn’t going to bring in any money to help redo the house.
  3. What the heck was he wearing? He seemingly had a Grimmy obsession.

09-17-14_8-05 PM

That put us back at the drawing board. I was relieved that Willow had the bonus Socially Gifted trait. We were going to need it. She headed off to the nightclub and I had flashbacks of her childhood. She practically had a harem in no time.

09-17-14_8-17 PM

I seriously need to know her secret. But anywho, it turned out that the one in the fedora had been a childhood friend. We considered him, but they seemed to have some opposing views.

09-17-14_8-15 PM

The one creepily standing behind her, however, was quite promising. He wasn’t going to bring a mix into the gene pool (but seriously, out of over ten men that she has met, only one of them didn’t have brown eyes. And they ALL had dark hair. What gives?), but he was going to bring in money.

Anyway, we both drooled a bit, and then she boldly decided to test the waters.

09-17-14_8-20 PM

She hooked him like a trout. I’m not sure if that sounds even remotely romantic, but I am kind of hungry now..

But I digress. Willow was exhausted and had to head home before too much wooing happened. The next morning, Seth invited Trisha over and asked her to move in. She was more than happy to, and they were just too excited to wait to have a formal wedding. They eloped right then and there. The way he pulled out the ring and put it on her finger made me giggle.

Seth: Yep, I’ve still got it.

09-17-14_8-43 PM 09-17-14_8-43 PM-3 09-17-14_8-43 PM-4

Oh that face. Someone is pleased with themself.

09-17-14_8-43 PM-6

They rushed off to (creepily) celebrate their wedding in Phoenix’s bed. It was the only double on the lot. I guess they couldn’t wait.

09-17-14_8-45 PM

And this happened! Trisha and Seth will be moving out shortly, and I’m still fuzzy on how story progression works in Sims 4, so I went ahead and let them get started on their family. Even if we never see him/her, I want to know that Willow has a niece or nephew floating around out in Simland.

09-17-14_8-47 PM

Trisha couldn’t be happier. So without further ado, I introduce you to Post Makeover Trisha . She is only one Sim day younger than Seth. She won’t be counting toward our points or sticking around long, so I haven’t taken note of her traits, but I do know her aspiration is Chief of Mischief.

09-17-14_9-07 PM

That night, Willow invited her crush, Frederick, over to hang out. We had checked to make sure that he lived alone, so I gave her the go ahead!

The way he looked at her was so adorable, and of course I had to giggle at the fact that Trisha decided to bring out a toy and join the conversation.

09-17-14_9-11 PM

After moving into Willow’s room for some privacy, things heated up quickly.

09-17-14_9-13 PM-2

Upon becoming an official item, we moved Frederick and his $20,000 in. Of course, it was at this point in writing my update that I went onto Pinstar’s site and realized the rules had just changed. I have no idea how to do a money cheat that reduces money, so I’m going to let it slide for this generation since I moved him in before I saw the rule change. All future move ins will come with nothing. Since most legacies I’ve been reading are already on Gen 2 or beyond with the old rules, I don’t feel so bad.

Willow: I want to remember this moment FOREVER.

Maybe next time with a little less crazy?

09-17-14_9-14 PM

Much better. Aren’t they adorable?

09-17-14_9-14 PM-2

It was at this point that I decided it was time for a new house. Reid wasn’t looking likely for beating out Willow for heir with only two days until he aged up, so I basically had the couple for my next generation. With the move in of Frederick, we had $35,000 in the bank to redecorate. And this is where I went a little house crazy. It’s those new premade rooms! They’re so pretty and shiny and I had to match and have the right colors and….next thing I knew I had a fairly finished bottom floor and an awkward disconnected upstairs. I also had less than $2,000 in the bank, so let’s hope bills wait to come until after someone gets a promotion.

Anywho, I present to you the brand new Sage Manor. Picures of the outside will come once there is wallpaper on the outside. We ran out of money for even that. -_-

09-19-14_3-46 PM 09-19-14_3-47 PM

But moving, on, I present to you a post makeover Frederick Silva-Sage. His aspiration is to be a Chief of Mischief and his traits are Foodie, Active, Loves Outdoors, and the bonus trait of Dastardly. To go with his Foodie trait I had him take up the Cooking career.

09-19-14_3-53 PM

He really is very good looking. Even if I don’t get a variation of genes, their babies will still be completely adorable. This is also where I should point out that, upon moving him in, we learned that he was only 5 days from becoming an elder. That just wasn’t going to do. While a male could still help with the baby making process as an elder, I didn’t want Generation 3 to lose their dad before they even got to know him, so I used half of Seth’s aspiration points to buy a Youth Elixer. Seth was moving out soon, anyway, so I didn’t want to waste those points.

Frederick: Well this doesn’t look unsafe at all. This beverage just magically appeared in my pocket and looks radioactive.

It’ll make you younger, Freddy, do it for your children.

Freddy: I don’t have any children.

Just drink it!

09-19-14_4-04 PM

Freddy: I really hope I don’t get radiation poisoning from this.

09-19-14_4-04 PM-2

With his newly found youth, he and Willow had some alone time. Originally I thought I was allowing them to celebrate their new marriage, but then I remembered that they weren’t married yet. Whoops! Apparently I need a third cup of coffee tonight. But it all worked out, because look at how happy Freddy was about it! He’s kind of adorable.

09-19-14_4-02 PM-3

The next morning, Willow wasn’t feeling well so I sent her to find out if my suspicions were correct. We all know what this means! Generation 3 (assuming Reid fails) is on their way!

09-19-14_4-07 PM 09-19-14_4-07 PM-3 09-19-14_4-08 PM

I had planned to have a big, beautiful wedding for Willow, but with funds running low it is looking unlikely. She’s happy with or without an elaborate celebration, though, as she found love and has a child and niece/nephew on the way.

I apologize for such a long and picture heavy update, but I wanted to catch you all up. Tune in next time to *officially* find out who will be heir, see how Reid turns out, and to meet the babies of Gen 3!  Thanks for reading and happy simming!!

Sage Chapter 1c

Three babies in a house with two bedrooms and a nursery? I could tell already that things were about to get very interesting very quickly. But the arrival of little Reid gave extra fluctuation if he happened to have better genetics and could achieve more aspiration than his siblings.

Speaking of aspirations, those were the main focus for a while. I was desperate for the kids to achieve their childhood aspirations, so I sent them both to work straight away!

Willow was a shoe in for the Social Butterfly aspiration, and she quickly drew large crowds to her at the park. She had no problem meeting 20 new people or making some new friends. Even better was that this was a perfect opportunity for her to meet some potential spouses in case she becomes heiress.

Willow: Spouses? Ewww. Boys are gross. Haven’t you seen my brother?

Oh hush, you love your brother and you know it.

09-10-14_5-47 PM-2

Refusing to play favorites, I sent Seth over to the nightclub to work on his dancing (I am such a great Sim God that I send children to nightclubs…by themselves). It worked, though, and Seth was onto the second part of his aspiration!

Seth: The ladies love my moves.

Woman in the background: *Chokes*

09-10-14_6-29 PM

Meanwhile, I took a calculated risk with good old Efrain. One of the computers broke and he was already an elder, so I went ahead and let him repair it. Can’t have a writer without his computer!

Efrain: Wait…you’re telling me that this is dangerous? Are you trying to kill me?

No! Of course not! We need your income…

Efrain: Well don’t I just feel loved.

09-10-14_6-21 PM

Time flies in a Legacy, and before I knew it, Little Reid aged up! Introducing Reid Sag- wait, who is this kid? He’s blonde! Phoenix, you got some splainin to do!

On a funny side note, I told my mom about this and she asked what color hair the milk man had.

09-10-14_7-19 PM

With light hair and green eyes, I’m actually really liking Reid. He rolled Cheerful and his Childhood Aspiration is Whiz Kid. Despite how much I’d love him to be heir, his aspiration is going to be tough since we don’t have a chess table on the lot.

It was after he aged up that I realized that Phase Two of Willow’s Aspiration did not count anyone she’s related to. What a waste to be friends with your siblings and parents when they don’t even count! I figured that I could use a sibling for the Become BFF desire, though, so I got to work with Reid since they were the closest.

09-10-14_7-21 PM

Reid: So let me get this straight. Becoming best friends will help you in your quest to become heir? And you expect me to actually help?

Willow: Well, yes. We’re family.

Reid: Ha, yeah right! I’m going to just keep being mischievous until you get so angry that you give up on your dreams.

I was so mad at Reid. He’s a Cheerful Sim but he kept sabotaging all interactions with his sister by picking on her! I think his Cheerful trait is just a cover up. But alas, Willow has two brothers, so it was time to go pester befriend Seth.

09-10-14_7-41 PM

Willow: Hey big bro, whatcha doin?

Seth: Playing a highly intelligent game that works on my typing skills. I am able to knock out my need to game for 10 hours and boost my motor skills all at once.

Willow: Um, why does it look like you’re browsing fancy dining room chairs?

Seth: Oh, don’t mind that. What do you want?

Willow: I need a best friend.

Seth: In exchange for one thing. I want a partner in crime at school.

Willow: Done.

And with that, she became his partner in crime…

09-10-14_7-55 PM-2

…and he became her best friend.

09-10-14_7-55 PM

Both Willow and Seth were on the third phase of their aspirations. Seth needed monkey bars and Willow needed friends. It worked out, because the park also had chess tables for Reid. They all took a little trip with the two boys Willow had met at the park a few days before.

09-10-14_7-58 PM

Willow made friends with both boys and Seth crossed the monkey bars ten times. They were both making good progress, but poor Reid only accomplished one game of chess in the hours they spent at the park. I felt a little bad for him, but after what he pulled with Willow, he kind of deserved it.

Still, Efrain was getting old and I was getting the pop ups letting me know that his time was coming soon. I decided to fulfill Reid’s other aspiration need of being read to for three hours. Efrain was more than happy to oblige, and it was adorable. I should also point out that this chair was a promotion reward for Phoenix. It promotes a Focused mood.

09-10-14_8-21 PM

Efrain: They call this a children’s book? Back in my day, they were much more entertaining. Especially the ones by the Efrain Lansing fellow.

Reid: Daaaaad, not this again. Can’t we please just reach the end this time?

I don’t remember the title or the exact author of the book, but I laughed at the fact that it was a Fantasy and the author’s name was very similar to J.R.R. Tolkien.

Meanwhile, Efrain joined Phoenix for breakfast for the first time in I don’t know how long. Even more, he autonomously flirted with her. They hadn’t had any romantic interactions since she was pregnant with Reid. I think Efrain knew his time was drawing to a close. It was so sweet and it made me a little sad.

09-10-14_9-05 PM 09-10-14_9-05 PM-2

Sure enough, that night he woke up to grab some scrambled eggs. Everyone was asleep when poor Efrain looked at me like this. He was determined to go out a stud, until he remembered that he was never going to see his children grow up, or even become teenagers.

09-10-14_9-23 PM 09-10-14_9-23 PM-2 09-10-14_9-24 PM-3

R.I.P Efrain Lansing-Sage. You will be missed by your wife, children, and your uneaten scrambled eggs.

Thankfully, he had used his writing skills to memorialize his wife and all three children before he died. Phoenix had written a book in memory of him as well. She finished it with only a day or two to spare. It is called “Efrain, The Impossible” in honor of how impossible he was to woo in the early days. The kid’s books are “Seth the First,” “My Willow Tree,” and “Reid Likes to Read.” Yep, I’m original.

Even sadder is that he only missed seeing Seth age up by a day. The very next morning he celebrated with just his mom. Willow and Reid headed off to school without even noticing that their daddy had passed. I’ve heard of this glitch, and while I like that negative moodlets aren’t getting in the way, it’s sad to see no one visibly miss him.

Anyway, I present to you the previously nerdy Seth Sage. Apparently being a teen has turned him into quite the ladies man.

09-10-14_9-38 PM-4

He rolled the aspiration of Hopeless Romantic on Pinstar’s site. As the actual aspirations are Serial Romantic and Soulmate, I was torn. Hopeless Romantic sounded more like Soulmate in substance, but more like Serial Romantic in title. I went with the latter. Seth Sage is a Serial Romantic with the bonus aspiration trait of Alluring, the child trait of Gloomy and the teen trait of Neat. He did not complete his childhood aspiration, so it is all an even game for now.

Despite being a total flirt, he makes some hilarious faces.

09-10-14_9-38 PM-3 09-10-14_9-38 PM-2

Seth: Have you seen Taylor Swift’s latest music video? Those dance moves are painful to watch.

Speaking of our adorable eldest, he immediately headed to the park to scope out some potential dates. He met so many women I lost count, but none of them were teenagers.

09-11-14_4-56 PM

Seth: I’m going to be alone for the rest of my life.

You just became a teenager. You have your whole life ahead of you. Call me when you’re still single at 25 and we’ll talk.

Seth: Single at 25? That is the most terrifying thing ever. Don’t make me think about such horrific things.

*Glares*

With Seth’s aspiration on the back burner for now, I decided to splurge just this once to help Reid with his. I bought him a chess table so that he could work on his desire to play five games. It seemed to be a tedious task, so it seemed easier to just give in and spend a few simoleons.

09-11-14_4-59 PM-2

He won a couple of games at home before taking a trip with his brother and sister to the park. Willow needed to work harder at making those friends, with only a couple of days left as a child, and Seth decided to give the park one more chance at sending him the love of his life.

The monkey bars and jungle gym seemed to be the best spot for making friends, so Willow just hung out there while her brothers played some chess. It turns out that our little Willow is going to be quite the heart breaker. If she does become heir, she will have an abundance of love interests.

09-11-14_6-08 PM-2

This was the moment where two fantastic things happened.

First, Reid managed to reach the second phase of his childhood aspiration by playing five games of chess. He celebrated by some well deserved time on the jungle gym.

09-11-14_6-20 PM

The second break that we caught was when Seth spotted this beauty. Her name is Trisha and she seems to be in a perpetually flirty mood. It works out quite well for our romantic Seth.

09-11-14_6-16 PM

Speaking of romance, Willow met a cutie at the park and invited him over to work on their friendship. Out of all of her current friends, he is my favorite for potential spouse. She hung out with him and Reid in her room and she worked on befriending this lady as well, since she needed three adult friends.

09-11-14_6-31 PM

The boy’s room seemed to be the place to socialize, as that is where Seth also decided to romance Trisha. On his little brother’s bed. Yep, this family is perfectly normal.

09-11-14_6-40 PM

I would like to draw everyone’s attention to the fact that this girl is already prepared to marry into this family. She has a lovely red engagement/wedding ring on. Oh Seth, what have you gotten yourself into?

Seth: I’ve gotten myself into my first kiss, that’s what. Don’t mess this up for me.

And like that, he successfully stole a couple of kisses, moving him toward his goal of ten successful kisses.

09-11-14_7-57 PM-2

This boy clearly thinks he is quite suave.

09-11-14_7-58 PM-2

Seth: Awwww yeah. I’m hot stuff.

Pfftt Seth, I see all, remember?

09-11-14_7-58 PM-3

Seth posting on Chirper: Ohmygosh, a girl just let me kiss her!

Oh yeah, reaaaaal suave.

Seth: I totally am. Don’t you see this face?

09-11-14_7-58 PM-4

Meanwhile, our little Willow’s birthday was fast approaching. In fact, it was that very day. We had ONE friendship left to make, so we invited Old Lady back over for a chat.

And success! Willow is officially the only child thus far to complete an aspiration, putting her in the lead for heir at this moment in time.

09-11-14_6-47 PM

With that, it was birthday time! For some reason, Phoenix is the only one in this family that seems to care about birthdays. Everyone else is always asleep, even in the middle of the day. A lot of love in this family.

09-11-14_6-50 PM

And I present to you Willow Sage!

09-12-14_5-42 PM

Her Aspiration is Freelance Botanist, giving her the bonus aspiration trait of Collector. She also earned the bonus Childhood Aspiration trait of Socially Gifted. She rolled Self-Assured as her teen trait, and as a reminder, her child trait is Creative.

Her first order of teen business was to take a quick jog, as she apparently ate too many scrambled eggs as a child.

09-11-14_7-12 PM

Her second order, of course, was to get to work on her Aspiration. she needed to plant and weed or water ten plants. That was the easiest part of her aspiration, so she decided to get Phase One done with.

09-11-14_8-15 PM

She is a diligent little worker bee, and her garden is already coming along nicely.

09-12-14_5-41 PM

Willow: Yeah, because you force me to neglect every single on of my needs until I’m done tending the garden. I go to school tired and hungry. I’m almost failing my classes, and at this rate, I’ll die before I ever have a chance to become heiress!

Oh you’re such a drama queen. That’s not true…*shifty eyes*

She regarded me with this look. I swear my sims aren’t this depressed/angry all the time!

09-12-14_5-41 PM-2

Meanwhile, Seth was inside cooking a nice salad for his family. He’s such a great kid.

09-12-14_4-58 PM

Wait, what are you doing? Do you have your finger IN YOUR EAR?

Seth: Uh…nobody was supposed to see that.

Ew.

09-12-14_4-58 PM-2

Seth: Whoa. Is ear wax even supposed to be that color?

Seth!

09-12-14_4-58 PM-3

I officially take back everything you said about being a great kid. That is disgusting.

Seth: What? They’ll never know.

But I will, Seth, I will. On a side note, I had heard of Gross sims doing this, but none of Seth’s traits fit with this behavior. I think he learned it from his mother. She was just always too sly for me to catch in the act.

But moving on, it was finally time for the house to be full of teenagers. I, personally, was so ready for it. Sadly, poor Reid had nobody to witness his birthday. Phoenix left for work right before he blew out the candles, making him the first kid to not have her present.

09-12-14_5-20 PM

To really capitalize on the feels I already had over him being home alone for his birthday, this was the first face he made after he aged up. Poor Reid.

09-12-14_5-23 PM-2

Introducing Reid Sage. He rolled the aspiration of Body Builder, which gave him the bonus trait of High Metabolism. He rolled the teen trait of Clumsy, and as a reminder, his child trait was Cheerful. The clumsy body builder mix made me laugh, as I see little Reid as more of a geek than a jock, so he kind of became a mix of the two. He did not complete his childhood aspiration, which leaves Willow in the lead for now.

However, the first thing Reid did was get to work on his aspiration by going for a jog.

09-12-14_5-32 PM

And that is where I shall leave you for now. Tune in next time to find out who completes the most aspirations, winning the title of heir! Thanks for reading and happy simming!

Sage Chapter 1b

We are back, and this time with babies! We all know that babies are the highlight of legacies, and the most important part, so I hope you enjoy!

Phoenix: Easy for you to say. You aren’t the one having to pop these things out.

Oh come on, you know you adore babies.

Phoenix: …Maybe.

Not having much else to do, the happy couple did a lot of working on their jobs while they waited for their bundle of joy to arrive. Efrain went straight to work on writing a book to memorialize Phoenix.

  09-09-14_4-41 PM

Efrain: I’m a writer. It’s what I do.

Indeed it is.

I present to you the first book Efrain ever completed. He will sadly never be able to publish it, but it will mean a lot to Phee.

Untitled

Poor Phee was not handling pregnancy too well. She was overjoyed about the baby, but her body was not.

09-09-14_4-59 PM-2

Phoenix: Baby….Zzzzz…Trying to….Zzzz…Kill me..Zzzz

Well, she was happy about the baby, anyway.

09-09-14_5-10 PM

She looks so adorable going for a jog with her pregnant belly. Also, you can see their little garden of Trash Plants in the background. They make the environment outside awful and I see very little point to them, but they won’t seem to die.

Phoenix: I stand corrected. It isn’t the baby trying to kill me – it’s you! Why in the name of Plumbob do I have to go jogging while this thing kicks my insides?

Because you are a Tech Guru that spends all of your time at work or in front of the computer. Pregnancy may not be kind on your body, so we’re getting a head start.

Phoenix: I hate you.

Yeah, yeah, that’s what they all say. Anyway, Efrain got himself a promotion and with it came this beauty. Thank goodness, because a Tech Guru and a Writer sharing a computer was getting a tad bit difficult.

09-09-14_5-14 PM

Can we all just admit that the pregnant “I have to pee” walk is the most adorable thing ever?

09-09-14_5-18 PM

Phoenix: And this is my “I’m not amused” face.

Shortly after this, our first addition began their journey into our world.

09-09-14_5-42 PM

Phoenix: Efrain! What are you doing?? I’m in labor!

Efrain: Huh? I’m just putting away the book I wrote in your honor. See you later, honey. Love you.

Phoenix: I want a divorce.

Efrain never got the “freak out” moodlet or anything, even though she had informed him earlier that they were expecting. I guess he was being a typical Sim male.

Anyway, I would like to introduce you all to Seth Sage!

09-09-14_5-43 PM

Despite the tough pregnancy and Efrain leaving her alone to give birth, Phee was really happy to meet her little guy.

Phoenix: You are so cute. You will be a much better man than your father-wather, won’t you? Oh yes you will, oh yes you will!

09-09-14_5-44 PM

Despite looking slightly horrified in the above picture, she looked truly happy to meet Seth. Her facial expressions were completely adorable.

09-09-14_5-44 PM-2

Shortly after, Efrain came into the nursery. I thought I was going to get a delayed freak out, but nope. What he did was even more adorable, though.

Efrain: Great job, babe. I’m so proud of you.

Phoenix: Finally you notice the baby.

Efrain: What baby? I was talking about the sink. You did a great job fixing it. Who does this baby belong to??

And this, my friends, led to Efrain’s first published book, “Who Does This Baby Belong To?” It’s sure to be a top seller, I’m sure.

09-09-14_5-45 PM-2

Phoenix can’t help but love him, though. That, or she just realizes the desperation for a spare. It very well may be the latter. Either way, they waste no time getting to work!

Phoenix: Another baby? Already? Do I ever get a break?

Yes. The day that you die.

09-09-14_5-47 PM-3

And yet, she still looks overjoyed. I think she’s secretly happy. She really wants a little girl and we both want a baby that has at least one of her features.

Shortly after this, Efrain seemed to register that Seth was his. He went in and spent some quality time with his son, and the pictures are precious.

09-09-14_5-51 PM 09-09-14_5-51 PM-3 09-09-14_5-51 PM-4

Phoenix scored herself a promotion despite the exhaustion she was feeling from her pregnancy. She earned a couch that boosts focus, but there is no room to put it anywhere yet, so instead you will have to accept this lovely picture of Phoenix at her return from work.

Phoenix: Could you have picked a worse picture?

Probably not.

09-09-14_6-51 PM

The next day, Phoenix got her very first work outfit! It was extra adorable because she was just about ready to burst.

09-09-14_7-03 PM

And we interrupt the adorable pregnancy to inform you all that Seth has aged up!

09-09-14_9-00 PM-3

He is basically a clone of his dad, so it’s a good thing that Phoenix decided to have a second baby. Of course, if Seth accomplishes more of his Aspirations, he will still be heir.

But anyway, introducing Seth Sage. His Childhood Aspiration is Rambunctious Scamp and his Childhood Trait is Gloomy. He aged up just in time, because it is time for baby #2!

09-09-14_8-32 PM-2

And it’s a girl! Meet little Willow Sage. Phoenix and I are both quite happy about this. Seth is as well. I had heard about kids getting a negative moodlet about getting a sibling, but Seth got a happy moodlet about his little sister. It was completely adorable. He even obsessed over her. He spent a good portion of her baby life talking to her. Every time she cried, he was first on the scene.

09-09-14_8-45 PM-2 09-09-14_8-45 PM-4 09-09-14_8-45 PM-5

Not a whole lot happened for the next couple of days. I realized that I had pretty much neglected to work on anyone’s aspirations, and so I had Phoenix pick up a book to work on “Read 3 books” and I sent Seth to the park to play on the play structure.

09-09-14_8-52 PM

09-09-14_9-01 PM

This was when I got the genius idea that I should try extra hard for that red haired, green eyed baby. It was the day that Phoenix was going to age up to an adult and Efrain was going to become an elder. I decided to try for one last baby. If the first try didn’t take, I was going to let it go. It took.

Phoenix: You’re kidding me, right? I mean, I love Seth and Willow, but come on!!

Sorry. I almost immediately regretted it, but rules are rules!

09-09-14_8-55 PM

During pregnancy #3, I decided we should continue working on aspirations. I wanted work promotions as much as the next guy, but potential heirs need to work for the title and Efrain wasn’t getting any younger. First, Phoenix threw Efrain a birthday party so that he wouldn’t be sad and so that he could meet some new people. It didn’t go so great and all we earned was a Charisma book, but he met five new people!

09-09-14_9-40 PM-2

Next up was Seth, who needs to spend two hours dancing. He’s only halfway through completing that Aspiration, but it was adorable to watch. Phee danced with him despite being in the third trimester of her pregnancy, and I definitely learned where Seth got his dance moves from!

09-09-14_9-09 PM

09-09-14_9-09 PM-2

The next day, while everyone was at work and school, Willow aged up. I must say, she is quite adorable. And she got the green eyes!

09-09-14_10-19 PMWillow is a Social Butterfly and her first trait is Creative, just like her mom.

Phoenix: Can I be done with babies now?

09-09-14_8-37 PMActually, in just a few short hours, you can! Well, the pregnancy part anyway.

In the meantime, she wanted to make sure that Seth didn’t feel like his little sister or the baby were taking away from how much she loved him. They autonomously hug each other all the time. It’s totally adorable.

09-09-14_9-53 PM

Seth: Uh, I love you too, Mom. But I can’t really breath. And what is that pool of water at my feet?

Phoenix: Baby time!!

That was when I noticed how large Phoenix had gotten this time around. Last time I had a Sim get this big, they had twins. As much as I normally love twins, the Sage family does not have the funds (or the patience) to deal with that many kids right now. I was getting extremely nervous.

09-09-14_10-39 PM

Phoenix: Twins?? Don’t even joke about that.

Just think “single baby” over and over again. Maybe it’ll work.

And it did, as Phoenix gave birth to only one little boy! Welcome Reid Sage to the family.

09-09-14_10-40 PM-2

Phoenix: Please don’t have a twin. Please don’t have a twin.

We’re safe, Phee. It’s just Reid.

Phoenix: Thank Plumbob.

Things should get fun now, as we don’t even have the funds to build Willow her own room. Someone is going to get Mom’s old bed for now, and live without a room to call their own. But hey, that’s a Legacy! Thanks for reading and tune in next time to see how the kids grow and see who is doing the best at achieving their Aspirations! Happy Simming!

Sage Chapter 1a

The time has finally come – the time to present you with a Sims 4 Legacy! Two things first:

  • I avoid cheats when possible, as even the smallest have messed up my game in the past, so excuse the appearance of plumbobs in the pictures. I may use the cheat to change last names, but that will probably be it.
  • Secondly, I should probably start out by telling you all the rules I have selected for my bloodline succession:
    • Equality – Either gender can be heir(ess)
    • Strict Traditional – Only blood relatives can be heir(ess)
    • Merit – The child with the most completed aspirations shall become heir(ess)

Per the rules, I have bulldozed a 50 x 50 lot and purchased this lovely knight that I must now store away in the family inventory, never to be seen again. This leaves my lovely founder with a meager $1.800.

09-08-14_7-43 PM

Distant voice: What do you mean I have to put this beauty in my inventory and never, ever look at this adorable face in the reflective surface? What a waste!

And right on cue, I would like to introduce you all to my founder, Phoenix Sage.

09-08-14_7-45 PM

Phoenix: Hi! I’m just going to smile like I’m happy to be here, because that’ll make it less painful. Right? Right?!

Unfortunately for you, no. But hey, you’ll get a hunky husband. Or, at least a husband of some sort. And babies. You will definitely have babies!

So, without further ado, Phoenix’s traits are:

  • Geek
  • Creative
  • Clumsy
  • Quick Learner (her bonus Aspiration trait)

Her Aspiration is Nerd Brain, and so she fittingly went straight into the Tech Guru career. As she had to wait two days for her first day of work, this is what we started with:

09-08-14_7-53 PM

I soon added a counter and sink, because nobody has time for a stack of dirty dishes. This brought our funds to below $100. Without enough money to purchase a computer (or even a table to put one on), Phoenix decided to attempt her first career goal on her phone. It turns out that playing games for 4 hours is not easy to accomplish on a cell phone, but she tried her hardest!

09-08-14_7-54 PM

Phoenix: I’d really rather be playing Sims. On a computer. Inside.

Phoenix really is a Sim after my own heart. I prefer to game the way it was intended, too – inside, curtains drawn, and nothing to keep me company but a steaming cup of coffee. Unfortunately, Phoenix was about to get some company that, while potentially steamy to some, was certainly not a cup of coffee.

Bouncy Redhead: Helloooo! Hi there, my name is Nina! I live in town with my sister, Dina, my mother, and her boyfriend that is closer to my age than hers. Welcome to the neighborhood!

Phoenix: Uh, hi. I live here, on this land, with hardly a penny to my name. Nice to meet you.

Surprisingly, they seemed to have lot in common.

09-08-14_7-55 PM

Nina: Wait, wait, wait. You’re telling me that you’re a redhead, too? Ohmygosh, no way! And look, we have the same bangle bracelets! We have so much in common! Besties?

Phoenix: Well, I have no other friends, so I guess that sort of makes you…the best?

Nina may not be the sharpest tack in the wall, but hey, a friend is a friend. In all honesty, they did get along really well. Nina seemed to get a kick out of scaring Phoenix, but Phoenix seemed equally amused. That is what I call true friendship.

Unfortunately for Nina, I needed Phoenix to meet some potential spouses and she “needed” to play some computer games.

Phoenix: Hey, it’s for career advancement!

Sure, sure. Of course it is.

So it was off to the library!

09-08-14_8-02 PM

…where literally every single computer was taken.

Phoenix: Great call. No available computers and not a single guy I’m willing to go near.

I refuse to let this trip be unproductive! There is a poor, lonely lady playing chess, and you need to work on your logic. I didn’t realize, however, just how social of an event chess would turn out to be.

09-08-14_8-03 PM

Phoenix: People. So many people. Must not show fear.

Once a computer became free, much gaming was had and Phoenix also reached the daily amount of computer time she needed for boosted performance at work.

09-08-14_8-04 PM

She decided to linger around the library for a while after, in hopes that her perfect Geek Charming would walk through the doors. She did a bit of reading, and then this guy walked in. I thought he was okay, but Phoenix almost immediately put her book down to stare at him like a creepy stalker.

09-08-14_8-19 PM

Super smooth, Phee. I’m sure that he doesn’t at all notice your bulging eyes glued on him. Not at all disturbing or awkward. On a side note, though, I found it super adorable. Later in the story, this moment becomes even cuter. Just in case you can’t make out the look on her face, here it is up close:

09-08-14_8-19 PM-2

Phoenix: What? I’m simply admiring his chops. Those things are fab. I’d like to study them up close…Scientifically, of course.

As I said, though, I didn’t see the love connection and so I sent her running all over town in hopes of finding someone with slightly different genes. The park seemed like a safe bet, but it turned out that all it accomplished was the emptying of Phee’s bank account. I looked away for one second and heard the little sound alerting me that she had spent money. $39 to be exact. On hot dogs. Those had better be some dang good hot dogs.

09-08-14_8-23 PM

Phoenix: Everything is good compared to a steady diet of cereal.

Well I’m glad they were worth it, because you now have exactly $26 in your bank account.

Prospects were grim. Every single guy had similar features – dark hair and dark eyes. I have no problem with either, but I was hoping that at least the second generation could inherit Phoenix’s adorable red hair and green eyes.

09-08-14_8-25 PM

I liked Kaiden here the best out of my options. He kept turning up everywhere Phoenix went and when I found out that he was a geek, too, I was in love. Er, I mean Phoenix was in love. Either way, after a few hours of socializing, I found out that he’s married. I wasn’t entirely against breaking up a marriage, but I was against losing out on a $20,000 spouse on the first generation. We need some walls!

Phoenix: I’m so glad you have your priorities straight.

Hey, for a legacy those are the right priorities.

But alas, the day was drawing to a close, so we spent the next two days hanging out at the library working on skills and keeping an eye out for a potential soul mate.

Phoenix: But I already found him!

Shush. You get no say.

But let’s be honest, in the end they always get their say. And Phoenix was no different when, trying to get focused before work, Efrain walked by the library. Even I could not interfere with fate. After a bit of chatting, Phee learned that he’s good, and I was sold.

09-08-14_8-55 PM-2

He seems pretty happy about the decision, as well, so there is no way that I can keep them apart now.

Phoenix: Ha! That’s what you get for trying to get in the way of true wuv.

Geek.

Phoenix: Takes one to know one.

Fair enough.

And this is when everything took a nose dive. Romancing Efrain wasn’t going to be as easy as Phoenix thought. In fact, it was going to be downright tedious, much like half of their conversations.

Phoenix: Hey! He’s my soul mate. That kind of thing is worth all the time in the world.

Yeah, until you’re up until 2am, determined to not sleep until you have a married Legacy founder.

Things started out well enough. Flirting ensued, friendship blossomed, and then my poor Phoenix got humiliated. Over and over. Even she looked like she was about ready to give up, but that wasn’t going to happen. She insisted that we go after her “soul mate” and so we did. It took almost her entire young adult life and three, yes three, promotions at work before things began looking up. Let’s take a quick look at their early “romance.”

                09-08-14_11-49 PM-309-08-14_11-50 PM

09-08-14_11-54 PMSure they look happy here, but poor Phee is just trying to be brave. Sadly, this expression was seen quite frequently:

09-08-14_11-59 PM

Now, as horrible as I felt for my lovely founder, there was one particularly hilarious moment. Shortly after this, I decided things needed to be kicked up a notch, and so I sent them on a date. This random guy forced his way into the conversations, causing everyone to feel awkward. Phoenix was determined, though, and so she prepared to go in for their first kiss. Their third wheel put his hand to his face in embarrassment before anything even happened…

09-09-14_12-06 AM

And then this happened. I wanted to slap Efrain silly, but oh my gosh. I could only seem to crack up at the seemingly psychic third wheel. He got a look on his face like, “I knew this was going to happen. She shouldn’t have done it. Ugh this is so awkward.”

09-09-14_12-06 AM-2Eventually, though, Phoenix had Efrain under her spell. And based on how resistant he was at first, I can’t help but wonder if she literally has him under a spell, but a spouse is a spouse!

Phoenix: I can hear you, you know.

Yes, but you have your man now, so shut up and be happy.

Phoenix: Spoiler alert, much? Better just get on with the rest of the story at this point.

Anywho, I won’t bore you with the next few days, as they were just Phee reliving all of these things over and over until one Phee needed to meet some needs at the library and decided it was the perfect place for a date. I’m a bookworm and a fellow geek, but I wasn’t entirely sure that was the most romantic place for a date. Phee knew best, it seems, as the billionth time was a charm!

09-09-14_1-03 AM

As per the usual Legacy hijinx, chaos was going on inside of the library as Phoenix and Efrain stared lovingly at each other. An older woman dramatically sat down on the floor and proceeded to die. Grim showed up and I was going to skip this chance to socialize, as Phoenix had achieved her goal, but she headed inside to chat anyway. Apparently, she has a sassy side. They both put their hands on their hips and had a staring contest.

09-09-14_1-06 AM

And then, right as Efrain was coming back from the bathroom, I looked over and saw her doing this! I was certain that she was flirting and about to get caught, but the action cue assured me she was simply chatting. So either she was using euphemisms or she intentionally made this face to scare me half to death. Either way, she is much more mischievous than I could have ever imagined.

Phoenix: Hehehe.

09-09-14_1-06 AM-2

But I digress. A quiet little ceremony took place the next day on Phoenix’s little lot, and the faces Efrain made were pretty great. He studied the ring as if he were trying to decide if it met his expectations. He didn’t look too pleased at first, but it must have met his requirements, as he didn’t pull a runaway groom. Honestly, what did he expect from a woman living on her lawn? This ring probably came out of a 25 cent machine.

Phoenix: It did not! ….It was a 5o cent machine.

09-09-14_1-18 AM-2

They quickly got to work on building a small house with the money he brought in, and it turned out pretty nice if I do say so myself.

09-09-14_1-39 AM

Phoenix finally has a tiny little office space for work, even if it is technically a hallway to the bathroom. I can finally show you two out of three of her promotion rewards (I don’t have enough counter space for the coffee pot):

09-09-14_1-38 AM

And now, without further ado, I present to you Efrain Lansing-Sage:

09-09-14_3-57 PM

His traits are:

  • Good
  • Bookworm
  • Cheerful
  • Gregarious (bonus Aspiration trait)

His Aspiration is Party Animal, and due to the fact that he is a bookworm and we already have a computer, he has gone into the Writing career.

After a quick makeover, these two wasted no time in getting to work on the second generation.

Both in unison: Hey, can’t we get any privacy around here?

You two have really never heard of a Legacy, have you?

09-09-14_4-04 PM-3

It took two tries, but Phoenix is now eating for two! I missed the confetti, but I thought it was adorable that Phoenix looked so happy.

Phoenix: Babies!!

09-09-14_4-10 PM

And that is where I’m going to leave this chapter, as it is already much too long. Thanks for reading and tune in next time to meet Baby Sage!

Phoenix: Babies!

Forester Chapter 2b

Well, it certainly took me long enough to get back to this legacy, didn’t it? My apologies! Now, I’m not entirely sure what is going on in all of these pics, because it’s been months, but I want to continue on now, so bear with me!

Here is my little Toby. He’s growing up so fast! Doesn’t he look just like a blonde version of his daddy?

This picture makes Mom so happy. She has it framed by her bed for when she gets bummed about getting older. Toby has made it all worth it for her. He loves the garden so much!

Sometimes being a mommy makes it hard to keep my rockstar mentality, but I still keep on rockin it.

And just like that, practically in a blink of the eye, my little boy has become a little man! It seems like just yesterday Hannah and I were this age, playing in the yard and..well, gardening of course. *Sigh* the good old days…

Unfortunately, Toby growing up wasn’t the only thing that happened that day. Mom and Dad both went up to the Plumbob in the sky… I don’t know how I’m supposed to carry this legacy all by myself. I know I have to, though, and I could never let Mom down. I’m more determined than ever to succeed!

Next thing I knew there was a horse in the living room! I knew that running this legacy all by myself would be a complete disaster! Honey, how did this happen? I told you to keep an eye on Toby!

And this here is where I drop in for a moment to say… *drool*

That is my little boy, you sicko!

Yes, I, um…well, I mean. A car??

Really? Okay, we’re even this one time.

Now, I don’t have a lot of air time left. Toby will soon take over and so I am going to take this opportunity to remind you all how dedicated I am! Remember that little girl that would study at the library so long and hard that she had to stop and take a nap? Yeah, she still exists!

My little boy is so focused! He works day and night on his inventions. He tends to catch on fire frequently, though. Good thing his dad works from home and just happens to keep a fire extinguisher handy!

We both continued to work hard on our respective careers, knowing that it would one day pay off.

One day came sooner than either of us expected! Isn’t she beautiful? I can’t believe we survived so long without one!

And yes, yes I DID rock the mini challenge! Feel free to applaud me now, if you like. Or bow. Whatever floats your boat.

And that, my friends, is the end of my saga. I apologize that it took so long for me to finish my story, but SOMEONE forgot about us..

I’m sorry, okay? Sheesh! I have been — *drools*

Ahem! Still my little boy.

Oh come on! He’s an adult now, can’t we let him think for himself?

No. Just, no.

Fine!

Well, um, with that awkward moment there my story must come to an end. As my mom warned you all before me, I shall warn you now. Toby is my baby and I will be watching!

Forester Chapter 2a

This chapter will be fairly short, as not a whole lot happened before Aria gave birth to the Generation three heir(ess). In case you forgot, my sims hate me. They are being a little bit nicer this generation, though, so far…

Mom insisted on taking this ridiculous picture of me, something about making memories or something.. I’m not sure when graduation caps went out of style, but I certainly rocked this humiliating hat! And to think, that school voted me “Most Likely to be Mediocre.” Clearly I proved them wrong.

Right after this picture was taken we all jumped into a cab to —

Jumped into a WHAT?!

A cab. You know, those things that drive people wherever they want to go for a small fee.

A car.  *facepalm* You JUST took over and you already have your family breaking rules? Don’t make me regret that Hannah wasn’t born first!

ANYWAY, before I was so rudely interrupted, I was going to share this picture with you all. This was my third ever painting, and thus it went on the wall right away. Every third painting or sculpture, when in said career field, must be kept to gain us some bonus points. See, I’m helping you out!

A car…a freaking car.

Get over it.

I wanted to rock (pun intended) the mini challenge for my generation, and so I went right out and started jamming! Look at that, yet again gaining us some bonus points.

A car.

Seriously?

But no, seriously, she did this autonomously and so I can’t really stay mad at her. She’s kind of amazing.

Once we realized that Mom couldn’t possibly reach the top of her career before aging up to being an elder, we got ourselves a fridge and kitchen area STAT! Those flowers on the dining room table? Yeah, Dad gave those to Mom way back in the day when they first started dating!

Autonomously, I might add.

Little Dipsy was pretty ready to get his own family started with Chardonnay (we call her Char for short), and so little Bobo was born! He is quite the adorable little one if I do say so myself.

With the sad loss of Alia, Aria’s best friend, things are shifting by one generation. I will reach the end of my horse legacy before I reach the end of my sim one. Instead of generation two horse being best friends with generation two sim, it will be off by one. Generation three horse will be best friends with generation two sim, and so on. So, Dipsy and Char will now be Aria’s favored pet companions.

Right after Bobo’s birth, Hannah came rushing home. She had graduated and wanted to come say hi before she headed out to live on her own. Mom insisted that we include a picture of her for any of you that might be curious. I love my “little” sis. Isn’t she beautiful?

The day that Mom had been dreading was finally upon her. She aged up into an elder in the middle of the night. I tried to tell her that she is still as beautiful as ever, but she doesn’t seem to care. She’s been so depressed lately.

Senility hasn’t kept Mom from her first love, though. Even in her golden years, when she could spend her time doing anything, she chooses gardening.

When I clicked over and saw her doing this all on her own, it warmed my heart. She is so her own sim! She really does love gardening, without any help from me!

After getting a fair start into my career, I finally decided that it was time to impress my old high school sweetheart. Having an accident in front of Dad seemed to work well for Mom, so I decided to try her methods.

As you can see, it worked! Right after high school, he started dating a vampire, and so I was a little nervous that she might catch us. When I convinced him to dump her, and she became my enemy, I began looking over my shoulder at every turn.

Little Bobo worries me. He is always watching me when I bathe, and apparently thinks that I smell like garbage! He’s a bit of a creeper, to be honest.

I quickly forgot all about it, though, when I found the right time to ask my beloved to be my betrothed. He said yes in a record amount of time, and ran straight to the kitchen to make us a celebratory dinner!

I can’t help but wonder if he might have said yes just so he could go eat…

We were married right away. Isn’t he just dreamy? He has such a unique beauty about him. One thing is for sure, our kids are going to have large noses. For some reason, us Forester women are attracted to men with big noses.

We wasted absolutely no time on our honeymoon!

Bobo finally grew up into an adult horse, and I was so relieved! Finally we could sell him. My heart fell when Mom told me that we would be keeping him around for a bit. I think she missed Lila, still, and wanted a horse of her own. I had laid claim on Dispy, and Myles had come to love Char. Mom needed someone of her own to love, too.

I didn’t have time to worry about it, though, as Myles and I were on the fast track to advancing our careers! I took to painting and he took to sculpting. Realizing that you can make money from something that you truly love is such a great feeling!

You know what an even greater feeling is? Realizing that your first baby is on their way. I couldn’t have been happier!

You and your mother need to get it through your head that it is not “babies” or “first baby.” It is the one, the only, the SOLE baby of said generation! Do not jinx it like she did!

I was so proud of Myles when he finished his first sculpture! We certainly didn’t want to sit on a chair made of clay, though, and so he quickly sold it! We were nervous about what his third piece would be, since we would have to keep it.

I cried when it turned out to be a toy box. Maybe it was hormones, but I took this as a sign that our baby would be a healthy and happy little one.

I’m a big believer in signs, and when a healthy and happy Boots was born that night, I just knew that it meant good things were coming our way!

The next morning I woke up and went right into labor. It was much more painful than Mom had made me believe, but then again, it’s not like you want to scare your child into not giving you grandchildren. I knew it would be worth it in the end, anyway.

When I looked into my Toby’s little face, I forgot all about the pain I had felt. He immediately took his own place in my heart. I was in love with two wonderful guys. Life couldn’t get any better.

Well, minus the little car incident in the beginning, this generation is proving to be quite wonderful to play. They have quite a large amount of promise if I do say so myself! I hope you enjoyed! Stay tuned for a longer chapter about Toby’s life growing up!

Forester Chapter 1b

I swear that my Sims are out to get me. I think Shay’s “I like being the founder” thing is all an act…

Are you calling me a liar?

Uh..no. Never.

Just in case you all haven’t caught on yet, I REALLY love to garden. As you can see, my garden isn’t the only thing growing! My gnome population is blowing up!

My beautiful girl is still hoping that Charlie will give her a unicorn. Little Coco was born not long after the twins. She is quite the cutie pie, but she is no unicorn.

When it was time for Aria and Hannah to grow up, I was ecstatic. Sure, I would have to send little Hannah away to boarding school one day soon, but this would be my chance to spend time with her.

Imagine my surprise when my girls grew up! Aria was first, and when she turned out to be a blonde, I wondered if maybe Cornell had only dyed his hair black. Then Hannah grew up and had black hair. I was saddened that neither of my girls would take on my red hair, but they were each uniquely beautiful.

I found it funny that Aria has blonde and Hannah has black, when it’s the opposite on Pretty Little Liars.

My little Aria immediately got to working on her music skills! I knew that she would one day go into the artistic career and play her trusty guitar for extra tips, and I wanted to get her started right away! She took quite the liking to her little xylophone, just as Hannah took a liking to the peg box.

Before I knew it, little Pumpkin was born. My Lila didn’t want to give up on the possibility of a unicorn, but she was getting up there in age, and she was tired. She wanted to spend the rest of her life relaxing.

I found Alia to be the prettiest, and thus she was named heiress. Lila could finally rest.

Before I knew it, my little girls were little ladies. I had so dreaded this birthday. I didn’t want to send my little Hannah away. She was so beautiful and sweet. But alas, rules were rules, and I sent her off to live at the School of Peace and Love (or something like that). I cried, but I clung to Aria for comfort.

My little Aria proved to be a driven young girl right from the start. She would go straight to the library after school to do her homework. She was often exhausted after school, and would take a nap there to save time. I was so proud!

Homework was always her top priority, even when she struggled. She was smart and never gave up.

One evening, out in the garden, one of my greatest dreams finally came true. I had finally reached the top of the gardening skill! I was still a ways from reaching the top of the career, but I was still so excited! There was no limit to my gardening, now!

My poor Aria had to learn the meaning of death at a very young age. This stray cat seemed to sleep in our front yard nearly every night, and eventually his time came. Aria met Grimmy and she was horribly sad. She had a deep love for all animals, and hated to see this happen. I hoped that one day she would understand.

She took to her love of painting to express her grief. She wanted to be a famous artist one day, and I knew at this moment that her wish would come true.

In case I haven’t pointed out how proud I am of my little Aria enough, she is so clearly my daughter. She takes to doing her homework out in the garden on sunny days, instead of cooping herself up in the library. She is a girl of many talents, that little one.

Aria took an immediate liking to Alia, and they became the best of friends. I knew at that point that I had made the right decision in making Alia the heiress.

Time flies, though, and next thing I knew my little girl was a young woman. She had taken a very unique beauty upon inheriting her father’s nose. I loved her with my whole heart.

As they both grew older, Aria and Alia continued to grow closer. I no longer really had to look after Alia, as Aria was more than happy to do so.

Sadly they had grown a little TOO close. Aria was anxious to make Alia a mom, and tried to take her to breed late one night. She hadn’t paid any attention to the time, and had ended up getting caught by the police. We hated punishing her for her mistake, but we had no choice. We put her under house arrest. After all, she had cost us yet another 5 points!

Every single time Aria would go to school, she would get scolded upon return for breaking house arrest. An extra two days would be added onto her punishment. She also got put in a time out for being a little late to school one day (on accident), and after her timeout and yelling at was finally over, school was nearly finished! Luckily, Cornell finally autonomously let her off the hook.

Don’t show this to my daughter, but this is what us parents do when she is at school. Hey, the football was a wedding present. We wouldn’t want to be rude and not use it!

Aria probably wouldn’t care anyway. She hardly notices anything these days besides her best friend, Alia.

I finally convinced her, though, to put some of her time into gardening. She needed to be well rounded. She agreed and took to it immediately. You can imagine how proud I was!

Just in case any of you doubt that my dear husband and I still love each other, here is a picture to prove you all wrong. I think you can all guess what we were just doing.

I freaked out a little. I heard the “woohoo” music and flipped over just in time to see the sheets moving! Luckily, no lullaby. Twins was bad enough. If they had gotten pregnant again, I might have killed them both in their sleep.

Alia gave birth to her first foal, Dipsy. He was absolutely adorable, but we wanted the heir to be a female to make the breeding process easier. She would just have to try again.

One evening I was out gardening when Aria came up and asked if I minded her helping me. I was thrilled! Sure, she had been obedient when I had asked her to garden, but now she was doing it all on her own! My little girl was growing up so fast. Soon she would be ready to take over this family.

The next day we had a very famous visitor! We couldn’t help but wonder if he was still trying to find Santa. I didn’t have the heart to tell him that it was January, and Christmas was over for the next year..

Credit for the Santa Searching Deer goes to Jenn (http://vinsonfamilysepicchallenge.wordpress.com/)

My dear husband absolutely loves horses. He spends crazy hours of the night trying to ride them, and usually failing. He is so adorable though. I can’t bring myself to tell him that you want to face forward when you ride her.

Seriously, he reaches elder, and therefore can no longer be controlled for the “senility” challenge, and this is what he does every single night!!

As adulthood approached, Aria began to grow nervous that she wouldn’t reach level five in her riding skills. School, homework, and sleep were taking away from her riding time. She knew she couldn’t go riding again at night, or she would get herself in some serious trouble that she might not get out of this time. She decided to take to fishing as a backup.

This picture brings me comfort. I know that, even as she grows older, my Aria will always be my little girl. I had underestimated her, also. She took to spending the entire weekend (her birthday was Sunday evening) studying the riding skill at the library. I was so proud of her when she ran home, just in time to blow out her candles, and told me that she had made it!

Now, as you all know, a legacy wouldn’t be a legacy if our family didn’t have it’s fair share of issues. This lady here came to take Lila and Alia away. Dipsy had already been bred and sold. Alia was pregnant with her second foal. Aria was still out studying when this happened, and I didn’t know how to break the news to her. It was all my fault for not paying enough attention to my little Lila.

Here is where my creative, possible rule bending, creativity comes in. I sent Shay straight to the Horse Ranch and had her buy Dipsy back. Alia wasn’t coming up as an option, so I had no other choice. I also purchased a female horse, Chardonnay. Technically Dipsy was a blood relative of Lila, the founder horse, and therefore it seems fair enough to me.

I’d like to end this chapter with a picture of my beautiful daughter all grown up. She really has grown into her features. From here on out, she will be narrating. I have truly enjoyed getting to know you all! Please be kind to my little girl. I may not be narrating, but I am still watching from the background!

That ends Chapter 1b. Yet another 10 points were lost, for a total of 20 points lost. The three points gained for the no fridge mini challenge ended up being lost when Shay didn’t reach the top of her career by the time she became an elder. One point gained for Shay mastering the gardening skill. Barely starting on Generation Two and already having major issues. I can just see where this family is going…

Forester Chapter 1a

Hello and welcome to the Forester EPIC Legacy! I will attempt to get through ten generations the hard way; with rules ever changing! The rules are over on boolprop if you want to check them out! The majority will be from the point of view/voice of the founder/heir(ess), but I will occasionally make my own comment. Enjoy!

Hello there all of you wonderful people! I am so excited to have you all keeping me company! I am Shay Forester. I know that most legacy founders are angry at their Sim God for putting them in such a position, but I am ready to embrace this! I was raised to be a good family woman, and this is what I was made for. For example, I’m not much for dressing so much like a girl, but Ma raised me that all girls are to wear dresses or skirts. I feel the need to respect that. Sorry about that, I tend to ramble sometimes, especially about my family. I miss them ever so much.

This is my best friend, Lila. She has been there for me through thick and thin. While I start my own legacy, she will be starting her own, also. Until the pitter patter of little feet arrive, we will keep each other company!

As you all know, cars have not been invented yet, and so this will be my mode of transport.

Actually, Shay cars HAVE been invented, it’s just that —

Do not ruin this for me!

Lack of running water is no big deal when you have a lovely pond in your yard! So many acres, and yet I use so little of it. I just wanted to prove to you all that I not only have my pond but I am also already prepared to start a wonderful garden!

She is SUCH a goody two shoes…

Look at my lovely home! I really can’t imagine being any luckier. A horse, a pond, a small shack, and wonderful outdoor plumbing! Oh bliss.

I think she means ignorance is bliss..

Here is a tour of my lovely abode! Over here we have the bedroom, and over there is the little living room. I feel so lucky to have such a beautiful home! My Pa and his Pa built it up themselves back in the day.

I had a really bad feeling when I saw this creepy truck outside. I mean, I was sleeping, but I could just sense it, ya know? It was like my spidey senses were tingling. I just knew that something bad was going down. And then I noticed the man trying to steal my bike! I wanted to call the police, but phones haven’t been invented yet! For the first time ever I wished I had had more athletic training in my younger years. He stole my trusty bike. Don’t worry, though, I replaced it right away.

This is my proof that the food truck is in cahoots with the burglars! This is not the first time this has happened to me…

I immediately headed over to the library to brush up on my gardening skills. It had been a long time since I had helped Ma out in the garden.

About four different men walked in, distracting me from my studies. I did, after all, need to find myself a husband as quickly as I could! What point was living without a man by my side? I found this man to be the most handsome. He was single to boot! We chatted for quite some time before he headed out. I didn’t have time to wait to reach friend status, though, and so I scurried off in search of my next prey, er, future husband material.

I’m telling you, she is not as sweet as she appears!

This was my very last choice for husband material, but we seemed to click. What can ya do about chemistry?

I really wanted to impress him, and so I decided to go ahead and have an accident right there in the library in front of him. Blocking him inside of his little cubical, in fact. He appears to be a little bit embarrassed.

As soon as this happened, I knew that I was in for one of “those” legacies. You know the ones. The ones where EVERYTHING goes wrong.

Excuse me! Is this really necessary to show to all of our viewers?

Of course it is! I need to prove to them that you do in fact only take your baths outside.

But I’m naked! And you already showed them that earlier in the pictures of the house!

Okay, I just enjoy embarrassing you.

That’s what I thought.

I decided that it was time to get started on my little garden. I found it to be a peaceful and relaxing pastime. It was an added benefit that I would actually be able to eat now!

Sorry for your lack of a fridge or stove, but I am going for bonus points, here.

I really do love Lila. She is my best friend in the whole world. She’s expecting her first little baby. I am so happy for her! I can’t wait to see the little guy or gal. I know they’ll be beautiful.

Animals are getting started on creating their legacy before Shay even has herself a boyfriend.

Hey, it’s not like I can just go to some building and breed with a stud. It’s a bit more difficult for me!

Gardening really is my entire life. I do practically nothing but garden all day, or think about gardening. I should be searching for Mr. Right, but I’m just not ready yet.

I discovered that my neighbors across the street have a male unicorn and his half unicorn son. I immediately sent Lila over to befriend the son, Charlie. Sadly she was already with child, but as soon as she popped that little one out, she would be getting to know Charlie a lot better!

That there is Dany, Charlie’s dad. When I discovered that my neighbors had unicorns, I also discovered that they have a very full garden, with just about every plant imaginable! No one was home so I decided to borrow some produce from them.

Borrow?

I was starving, okay?!

That night, little Bobby was born into our family. He looks almost nothing like his father, except in the nose. I knew immediately that he would not be the one to carry on Lila’s line. I loved him, but genes are important!

I wanted y’all to know that Ma wasn’t the only one to teach me the important stuff. Ain’t no handyman going to touch any broken objects around here. I can take care of it myself!

Next thing I knew I heard a lovely lullaby coming from outside. Now that Lila had given birth, it was time to try for a foal with Charlie!

At the conception of Lila’s second baby, I realized that it was time to get to work on finding a man to have my own baby with. I knew who I wanted to marry, but I had to find out if he felt the same. I shyly put my hand on his at first, afraid of how he might respond. When he leaned over a whispered in my ear, I felt my nerves relax. We looked over at each other at the same time and just gazed into each other’s eyes for the longest time. I knew at that moment that it was love. There was only one problem; he was married.

Wow, Shay, I guess you proved me wrong! Not such a goody two shoes after all..

Eventually it grew dark and he had to leave. I decided to take to my garden again, and this man would not stop following me and taking pictures! Apparently selling fruit to a celebrity gave me a bit of my own celebrity status in my little town.

He’s cute, Shay..

Shut up! I love whatshisname! (yes, I can’t remember his name right now)

Luckily that night there was a good event to cheer me up about the stalker-azzi. Little Bobby grew up into a beautiful young guy. I loved him, I really did, but there just wasn’t room! Also, this here is little Alia, clearly afraid that her big brother is going to trample her with is new large body. Don’t worry, she was fine.

Finally the moment came. Whatshisname threw a party and I arrived late. Everyone left upon my arrival, after changing into their swimsuits. His wife had passed the day before of old age, and I had tried to respect him the first day by consoling him and cheering him up. I just couldn’t wait any longer, though! I confessed my attraction for him and went in for the kiss! My first kiss was the most magical thing in the world. I then dropped to one knee and asked him the big question. I was so nervous, but he said yes! I know I move fast, but when you’re in love, you’re in love.

We got married right then and there in his kitchen. We didn’t need anyone to watch us get married. We just needed each other.

Upon arriving home I noticed our very first gnome! I was so excited! It was a good thing that this was waiting for us at home, because when he threw me into his car and drove me home, I was furious. He had JUST joined our family and he was already loosing us points! He was lucky that I even gave him a wedding night.

I wanted a baby too badly, though, and so I gave in. When I heard that little lullaby I went through the roof! I was going to finally be a mommy, the one thing in the world that I wanted to be more than a gardener!

I gave my wonderful husband a makeover, and thought this would be a great time to show him to you all up close. He is so unique. Our babies will be so beautiful!

Did you say babies?

Did I? I meant baby. One baby. Singular. Yep.

Speaking of babies, my little Lila was out spending some more quality time with Charlie. Baby horse number three was on the way!

It really was perfect that I found out, officially, that I was expecting in my garden. There was no place more fitting for such a beautiful moment! And yes, I went right back to gardening after I basked in the joy for a moment.

Before we were married, Whatshisname had worked at the graveyard. He quickly quit that job and became a gardener along with me. We love spending time in our quickly growing garden together. Although, I still like to visit the neighbors, if you know what I mean.

I wanted to show off a couple of wedding gifts! We got yet another gnome and a wonderful football for our baby!

Shay is so adorable. She whistles the happiest of tunes when she is gardening. She really does love spending time with her garden! I have never had a Sim with such personality! It makes me super happy.

Next thing I knew it was time for Alia to grow up! I was taking a bath, but I quickly jumped out and didn’t bother taking time to put on clothes. I couldn’t miss a moment of this, and clothing would take too long!

I couldn’t believe she did this. *facepalm*

I think Alia has a lot of potential for carrying on the family line. She isn’t part unicorn, but she is gorgeous. She has very noticeable physical traits from both parents and her grandparents. I just love her blonde tail.

Next thing I knew, Lila was not on the lot! She had gone for a run apparently, and she had to give birth in a nearby park! Little ClipClop was born. He is also quite attractive, but I still think I like Alia more.

I don’t give up that easily, though. Lila is still fairly young. She is currently pregnant with her fourth foal; third with Charlie the unicorn. Let’s hope that this little one glows and has a horn!

Next thing I knew I was going into labor, in my garden of course. I was ecstatic when I found out it was a little girl that I had been carrying! We could play dress up and I could teach her to garden. My beautiful little Aria would carry on my legacy. But then the contractions continued, even after she was out. I quickly realized that I was having twins. I had not prepared for this, and with overpopulation it was against the rules! I panicked, but what could I do? There’s not a whole lot you can do to change such a situation. Little Hannah was born and I couldn’t help but fall in love with her. It was terribly painful looking into her eyes, knowing that the moment she became a child I would have to send her away to boarding school. I cried then. Not because of the pain of labor, but because I had been given such a gift – twins! And yet it was also a curse.

This is where I am going to end this chapter. I couldn’t believe that I had twins! Usually I TRY for twins and never get them, and the one time I don’t want them, I do! With all the apples Shay was eating, I couldn’t believe they were both girls, too. So, just my first chapter and I’m already at -10 points. I apologize if this is too long winded or boring. I’m a writer, and it apparently overflowed to here. Thanks for reading!
