Hello!! Happy Christmas Eve!! I hope you’ve been having a fun Blogmas so far. I can’t get enough of festive jewelry. Earrings that look like snowflakes, Christmas trees and necklaces that mimic Christmas lights as well as colors of the season. I thought it would be fun to share a few photos of the festive jewelry I’ve been rocking around the Christmas tree. Here they are. 🎄😀
The Christmas bows along with the jingle bell earrings make me feel extra jolly. These earrings pair perfectly with my bracelet. I can’t get enough of the photo of the Poinsettia earrings below. They look beautiful.

Hello!! Winter is upon us and so are chilly temperatures. My hot cocoa is out and in full effect. After making chocolate dipped spoons, I knew I had to make a hot cocoa bar. Especially since we’ll be sipping hot cocoa well into the New Year. Here’s how I assembled my hot cocoa bar. ☕
Supplies
6 (4 oz) mason jars
Wooden tray
Picture Frame with magnet
Hershey’s chocolate morsels
Marshmellows
6-8 Candy Canes
Crushed Candy Canes
Chocolate dipped spoons
Starbucks Peppermint Mocha mix
Nestle Hot Cocoa Mix
First, I washed and dried my mason jars. I poured marshmellows into 2 jars and chocolate morsels into 1. I put candy canes and crushed canes into the others. In the last jar, I placed my chocolate dipped spoons.
After arranging the jars, I added the hot cocoa mix and peppermint mocha mix. I also hand lettered a “hot cocoa bar” sign to attach to the magnet of the picture frame.
Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. Proverbs 16:24
Here’s my finished hot cocoa bar. We’ve been loving this hot cocoa bar. It makes fixing a cup of hot cocoa incredibly convenient. 😀☕😋
I hope you’ve been enjoying a warm beverage. May you be safe and well. Thank you for reading and stopping by. 🎄☕❄😀
Hello!! Happy Friday!! Today, I will be showing you how I made chocolate dipped spoons. I was inspired by a wooden chocolate dipped spoon I saw at a store. Here’s how I made chocolate dipped spoons.
Supplies
6 metal spoons
Marshmellows
2 Candy canes
Hershey’s semi-sweet chocolate chips
Parchment paper
First, I gathered a few marshmellows and crushed my candy canes.
Second, I eye balled my Hershey’s semi-sweet chocolate morsels and melted them in a glass bowl.
Next, I dipped the spoons in the chocolate and placed them on the parchment paper. Once all of the spoons were on the parchment paper, I pushed marshmellows unto some spoons and sprinkled crushed peppermint unto the others.
**The chocolate began to slide down the spoon so I grabbed a few rulers to make a stack that would uplift the handles of the spoons. It definitely helped.**
Next, I placed the spoons into the refrigerator to chill. Here’s how they look fully chilled and ready to heat up in a cup of hot cocoa. 😋
Using a chocolate dipped spoon in my hot cocoa definitely heightened the experience. My family loved them as well. We had so much fun using these spoons in our hot cocoa. ☕🥰
Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Psalm 100:2
I’ll definitely be making more spoons. May you be safe, well, and sipping on a hot beverage. Thank you for reading and stopping by. ☕😀
Hello!! Happy Wednesday!! I recently made reindeer cookies and photographed them for my flat lay. The idea to make reindeer cookies just popped into my head and I thought “Hey, let’s give it a try”. I grabbed the ingredients and started on my way. Here’s how I made reindeer cookies.
Supplies
Betty Crocker Chocolate Chip cookie mix
Pretzels
Candy eyes
Red and Green M&M’s
Hershey’s Chocolate chip morsels
Marshmellows
Disclaimer – I didn’t look at any recipes before making these cookies which makes me love my results even more. A recipe should be consulted if looking for perfection. 😉
First, I mixed my cookie mix. I added a few more morsels to my mix. Then I put balls of cookie dough unto my parchement paper.
While the cookies were baking, I prepared the candy eyes, marshmellows, pretzels and M&M’s for easy decorating.
Second, after the cookies finished baking, I pulled them from the oven and quickly began decorating the cookies before they cooled off. I pressed the eyes, antlers and nose into the cookies.
Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy. Psalm 33:3
Our results made us giggle with joy especially given the facial expressions of the reindeer and the shapes of their faces. It was a very fun family activity.
We had a lot of fun making and eating these cookies. May you be safe and well. Thank you for reading and stopping by. 🙂
Hello!! Happy Monday!! Happy Blogmas!! After snacking on a few walnuts and peanut butter m&m’s, I thought how great they would be in trail mix. I decided to try my hand at making trail mix for the first time using a few of my favorite snacks. Here’s I did it.
Supplies
Unsalted peanuts
Craisins (dried cranberries)
Mini pretzels
Peanut Butter M&M’s
Unsalted Walnuts
After gathering together my favorite snacks, I placed them in different sized bowls according to which snack I wanted to be the most and least present. Then I added them into the bowl of pretzels, one group at a time.
I loved the taste and look of the walnuts, cranberries and pretzels. I will definitely have to make this combination of trail mix again. It was delicious. 😋
You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours. Psalm 128:2
Next, I added Peanut Butter M&M’s and peanuts.
Lastly, I used a spoon to mix them all together. My family and I enjoyed this trail mix. I can’t wait to make more especially with some red and green M&M’s. Here’s a look at my finished trail mix.
I’m glad to say that making trail mix using my favorite snacks and for the first time was a success.🎉 We are loving snacking on this trail mix. May you be safe, well, and your snacks be delicious. See you soon for another yummy post. 😉 Thank you for reading and stopping by. 😊
Hello!! Happy Blogmas!! After receiving a few Christmas cards, I thought it would be a great idea to make a Christmas card display. Here’s how I did it.
Supplies
Gift wrap
Tape
Canvas
Ribbon
Scissors
Clothes pins
Stapler
First, I wrapped my canvas and taped the edges on the back of the frame.
Second, I eye balled the ribbon to where it would tuck under the back of the frame. Before, stapling the ribbon, I used Christmas cards to see if there would be enough space between each column of Christmas cards. Then I flipped the canvas over and stapled the ribbon to the back of the frame.
Third, I added the clothes pins to the ribbon.
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.1 Thessalonians 5:11
Here’s my finished Christmas card display with a few unused Christmas cards. I am so happy with how easy this was to put together and I can’t wait to see Chirtsmas cards from our friends and family hanigng on the wall.
How are you displaying your Christmas cards?
I hope you have a great weekend. May you be safe and well. Thank you for reading and stopping by. 😀🎄
Hello! Happy Blogmas!! I’ve used these wood beads in a previous craft project and couldn’t wait to use them again. That’s when the idea to make festive earrings came to me. Here’s how I made wood bead hoop earrings.
Supplies
Acrylic paint
Metallic 2480E Royal Gold
Metallic 660E Pure Gold
Apple Barrel 20523E Kelly Green
Simply Acrylic Brilliant Red
Gloss Mod Podge
Matte Mod Podge
(14) 16mm Wood Beads
Hoop earrings
First, I counted out 6 beads to paint red, 6 to paint green and 2 to paint gold. I mixed the metallic royal gold paint with the metallic pure gold until I achieved the desired color I was looking for.
Second, I stuck my beads unto the ends of the paint brushes for easy painting and drying. Once they were dry, I mixed together the matte and gloss mod podge to add a nice coat to the beads.
Next, I slid the beads unto the hoop earrings and tested out different patterns. I love the ability to mix and match beads on the hoop earrings for different combinations.
I can’t wait to wear my wooden bead hoop earrings. Here’s a look at the different combinations I put together.
The Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace. Numbers 6:26
See you soon for another Blogmas post. May you be safe and festive. Thank you for reading and stopping by. 🙂🎄
Hello!! Happy Blogmas!! Last week, I gave makeovers to items I plan on using for my tiered tray. Today, I’m going to show you how I decorated my tiered tray.
First, I assembled my tiered tray. I found this tiered tray at Walmart. There were also décor packages for the tiered trays but I wanted to mix new items with a few that I already had. Here’s how my tiered tray looks without any décor.
Second, I gathered my bigger items, arranging them on the top and bottom tier. I placed a house on the top and bottom. I just love my ceramic bathtub. I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to use it and one finally presented itself. 😀
Third, I gathered my pine pickings and pulled them apart. I placed them around the bigger items on the tiered tray. The greenery was a very nice addition. 🌿
Fourth, I gathered my mini trees and placed them on the top and bottom tier to fill any empty spaces.
Lastly, I added a red bow to the top of the tiered tray. I also took a few presents from the bathtub to place on the top and bottom tiers to add a bit more color.
Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy are in his dwelling place. 1 Chronicles 16:27
Here are a few close ups of the top and bottom level of my tiered tray. I just love how it all comes together. ☺
Yay!! I am so happy with how decorating my first tiered tray turned out. See you soon for another Blogmas post. May you be safe and well. Thank you for reading and stopping by. 😀❄🎄
Hello!! Happy Blogmas!! I recently jumped aboard the tiered tray train🚂, picking up my very own. Before, I start decorating my tiered tray, I wanted to diy a few items from my Dollar Tree haul. Here’s how I gave these items simple makeovers.
Supplies
Wood box
Metal houses
Bottle brush Christmas trees
Hot glue gun
Matte Mod podge
Apple Barrel Matte White paint
Paint brushes
First, I gave the metal houses a few coats of white acrylic paint. I did a few coats on the outside and just two in the inside, letting them dry in between coats. I also gave the wood box a few coats as well. Then I let them dry for a few hours.
Afterwards, I added a coat of matte mod podge. Then I let them dry. *It was a bit tough painting these houses but I’m ecstatic at how they turned out.
“When you enter a house, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’ Luke 10:5
Next, I moved onto the wood box. From the snow globe, I used the miniature reindeer, trees, and fake snow to create a wintry scene.
Here are my finished painted metal houses along with my wintry scene. I just love the way they turned out especially the wintry scene. ❄
In my next Blogmas post, I’ll be using these items to decorate my tiered tray. Have a great weekend!! May you be safe and well. Thank you for reading and stopping by. 😀❄🎄
Hello! Happy Blogmas!! I had such a fun time participating in Blogmas last year that I decided to give Blogmas a go this year as well. I’ll be posting 12 posts until the 25th onMonday, Wednesday andFriday.
Today, I’ll also be sharing my mini Dollar Tree Christmas haul. I stopped by Dollar Tree and picked up a few Christmas items. I’ll be sharing the items I picked up as well as my plans for them. I am so excited. Without further ado, here’s my mini Dollar Tree Christmas haul. 🎄😀
I’m hoping to use these wooden snowflakes and Christmas trees to make garlands. The bottle brush Christmas trees will be used to create a wintry scene in the wooden box below.
These snowflake glitter stickers are going to help me decorate a solid color gift box. The snowflakes will pop against the solid color of the gift box and give it a beautiful wintry feel.
By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established. Proverbs 24:3
I was so excited to find these metal houses and I plan to give them a simple makeover.
Last but not least, is this circular wooden sign. It will make for a great door hanger or sign . I haven’t decided yet. 😂
That’s it for my Dollar Tree Christmas haul. I can’t wait to get started on crafting with these items. Happy Blogmas!! May you be safe and well. Thank you for reading and stopping by. 😀❄

National Poetry Month: Day 1 – Happy National Poetry Month!! I was inspired by this photo below I snapped of buds coming in right before Spring. I hope to see these flowers every Spring. I wrote this poem thinking of a relationship between friends as how I feel about these beautiful buds. My Spring buddies that I only see for a brief moment in time.
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens. Ecclesiastes 3:1
Spring Buddies
I waited till I could see you again To bask in the joy of an old friend Hoping to enjoy a moment with you In this fleeting time Before you wilted Leaving only a memory behind
Hello! March is coming to an end as well as National Craft Month! I couldn’t let the month end without trying my hand at creating Boho art. I used inspiration to sketch, paint and create my own Boho trio. Here’s how I did it. 😃🎨
Supplies -Vanilla ice cream paint -Antique parchment paint -Twine -Lite Mocha paint -Snow White paint -Leaf green paint -Sun kissed peach paint -Kelly green paint -Small wooden canvas -Large wooden canvas – White color pencil – Mod Podge -Wooden beads
First, I decided on my color palette and mixed my colors. I then picked which colors would work for either painting. I used my white paint to create lighter variations of each color.
Second, made various rainbows using different color schemes to decide on which color scheme I wanted to use. I decided to use Sun Kissed Peach and its lighter variations with Antique Parchment and Vanilla Ice-cream.
Thirdly, I sketched various vases with varying leaves. I decided on three vases with leaves and drew them on my wooden canvas with a white color pencil. Then I filled my sketch in with color. I used Lite Mocha, Vanilla Ice cream and Antique Parchment for my vases. I also used Kelly Green, a lighter Kelly Green and Leaf Green mixed with Kelly Green.
Fourth, I sketched various leaves of different seizes and shapes. I then used my white color pencil to draw them unto my large wooden canvas.
Next, I filled in my leaves using all of my colors. I used a darker variation of Kelly Green. I used some my color variations to add highlights to my leaves. I also added round shapes around the edges so that I could connect this painting to the others. Afterwards, I covered all three of my paintings with mod podge.
Lastly, I painted two small beads for each painting with Antique Parchment. I strung two beads on either side of my twine and stuck my twine through holes I drilled through the top of my small canvases. Here’s my finished result.
I just love my Boho art and I’m even more excited that I was able to create this trio myself. I hope you’re safe and well. Thank you for reading and stopping by. 😃🌼🍃
Hello! I’ve been seeing wooden bead garlands everywhere and wanted to try crafting my own. After gathering my supplies, I gave it a try. Here’s how I crafted my wooden bead garland.
First, I cut 36 inches of twine and dipped the ends in glue. This helps the ends not to unravel and makes the process of stringing the wooden beads much easier.
Second, I grabbed my tray and squeezed a small amount of paint into the tray. Then I proceeded to shake the tray to cover the beads in paint. If the beads seemed to have too much paint on them, I added more beads to soak up some of the excess paint. I used 30 wooden beads to make my garland. *I also used my scissors to move the beads from the tray to a piece of cardstock to dry.
Next, I strung my wooden beads unto my twine leaving a few inches at each end. I also made sure to save 2 beads with larger holes for the ends of my garland.
Third, I made tassels by wrapping twine and around my hand until I was happy with the thickness. I cut one end and placed my pencil in the center. Then I wrapped a piece of twine around my tassel, tying it in the front and back. Lastly, I wrapped the twine around my tassel and hot glued the ends.
Lastly, I tied the ends of my garland around the tassels and continued to knot the twine until there was a small strand left. I then added hot glue around my knots and slid them into the center of the wooden bead as well as the small strand.
I am so happy with my wooden bead garland. I can’t wait to use it in photos and as décor.
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Psalm 51:10
I hope you enjoyed this fun craft. May you be safe and well. Thank you for reading and stopping by. 😃
Hello! While looking through my photos, I found this photo of a wheelbarrow I’d taken last Fall. I thought of how my siblings and I would take turns pushing each other in a wheelbarrow around our yard. I smiled to myself, hearing our joyful laughter. Here’s my entry for the Pull Up A Seat Photo Challenge 2021: Week 11 hosted by XingfuMama.
Light shines on the righteous and joy on the upright in heart. Psalm 97:11

Hello!! The Nancy Merrill A Photo a Week Challenge: Take a New Photo asks us to share a new photo taken for the challenge. I took a new photo of my yarn rainbow wall hanging that only shows one half of it. 🌈🧶
If it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully. Romans 12:8
Oh, the joy a rainbow brings! May you be safe and well. Thank you for reading and stopping by. 🌈😃
Happy National Craft Month!🧶✂🎨 This month, I’ll be creating and trying new crafts each week. I was inspired by rainbows to create a yarn rainbow wall hanging. Seeing this colorful rainbow really brings a smile to my face almost as much as a rainbow in the sky. Here’s how I crafted my yarn rainbow wall hanging.
Supplies
Red yarn
Orange yarn
Yellow yarn
Green yarn
Blue yarn
Purple yarn
Nautical Rope 2.1m
Nautical Rope 3.4m
White pom poms
Scissors
Bread tie
Hot glue gun
First, I cut an 18 inch piece of the rope to start my first color. I eyeballed how long I wanted the ends to be and cut my bread tie in half. I wrapped the bread tie around each side and began wrapping my red yarn around the rope.
To wrap my yarn, I placed an inch of the yarn parallel to the rope and wrapped the yarn around it until the rope was completely covered. I then cut the yarn and hot glued the loose end to the rope.
Next, I measured one end of my rope to my red layer and tied the end with a bread tie. Then I proceeded to wrap it using the same process and measuring the other end to the red layer as well before I cut it. I used the same process to complete the rest of my rainbow layers. I also used a comb to loosen the ends. *I found that cutting the ends a bit shorter helped them to match the previous layers once they were cut and loosened.
Afterwards, I cut a strand of red yarn and made a loop knotting it together. I then cut off the loose ends and placed a dot of hot glue on the ends to press them together. Then I placed my red layer on the loop and pulled the rest of the yarn through looping it around my red layer of yarn.
Lastly, I glued pom poms to the top of the red layer of my rainbow. My rainbow is now complete. 😀❤✨
Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up. Proverbs 12:25
I’m so excited with the finished result of my yarn rainbow wall hanging. Every time I look at it I smile with joy. May you be safe and well. Thank you for reading and stopping by. Happy Crafting!! ☺✨🧶
Hello!! The Nancy Merrill A Photo a Week Challenge: Faded asks us to share a photo or more using a faded treatment. I used a faded treatment on a photo of my delightful tulips. 🌷
I just love the whimsy of these faded tulips. They look as beautiful as they would in full color. May you be safe and well. Thank you for reading and stopping by. ☺
Happy National Craft Month! This month, I’ll be creating and trying new crafts each week. I was inspired by yarn wall hangings and decided to give it a try. Here’s how I crafted my yarn wall hanging.
Supplies
White yarn
Off white yarn
Light tan yarn
Lace Ribbon
Wooden stick
Scissors
Hot glue gun
Assorted beads
First, I picked my color pattern and the shape of my wall hanging, deciding that it should be somewhat symmetrical but not entirely. I made both sides short and gradually increased the length until the middle was longer.
I cut a few strands and folded them together to see if I would like the thickness.
By cutting 24 strands of my light tan yarn the same size, I was able to divide them in half to use for each side. I used 20 strands for my off white yarn and 12 for my white yarn also dividing them in half. I measured by eye and undid strands to increase or decrease thickness.
To attach the yarn to the wooden stick, I folded my group of yarn to make a loop then laid the wooden stick on top. I then guided the rest of the yarn through the loop and pulled tightly.
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9
Second, I added lace ribbon, braided two strands of yarn and strung a few beads in a pattern to add more detail.
Lastly, I braided three strands of my thin light tan yarn and knotted it around my wooden stick. Then I used hot glue to wrap the loose strands around the stick. I just love the added detail. *It was much easier to string the beads unto the strands of yarn once I was able to hang my yarn wall hanging on the wall. 😉
My finished result. ☺✨
I’m so excited with the finished result of my yarn wall hanging. May you be safe and well. Thank you for reading and stopping by. Happy Crafting!! ☺✨🧶
Hello!! The Nancy Merrill A Photo a Week Challenge: Something New asks us to share a photo or more of something new. I’ve always admired beautiful pictures of perfectly crafted smoothie bowls. I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Thank you for reading and stopping by. 😊🎄❄⛄✨
Hello! The holidays are such a fun time filled with holly jolly joy but they can also be very stressful. The pressure to get cards/gifts mailed out in time for Christmas or what to cook for Christmas dinner can be quite overwhelming. As holiday stress came upon me, I found a few ways to help calm myself and relieve stress. Here are a few things that ease my holiday stress.
Scented Candles
I love to burn candles as I’m performing different tasks. If the candle’s scent is loud enough, I might not burn the candle but let its scent drift around. The scent of my candles help to calm me when I’m feeling stressed. As I smell the scent of the candle, I feel more relaxed. My favorite scents this season are Frosted Sugar Cookie, Vanilla Chai and Clove and Orange.
A Sit Down Break
I’ve started getting into the habit of sitting down for a few minutes before moving on to my next task. Many times I may not sit down for a while if I’ve found my groove to completing a task. It’s so important to take a sit down break and relax one’s body for a bit. Most times I may not need a very long sit down break but if I do need a longer break, I’ll go ahead and take one.
Reading
Reading a book, devotional or magazine helps to take my mind off of my many tasks for a few minutes. Reading a devotional gives me great words to reflect upon and a lesson to carry into the rest of my day.
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9
Dividing Tasks Between Days
I managed to work out a plan to divide my Christmas dinner cooking/baking between Christmas and Christmas Eve. I’ll be cooking/baking certain items the day of and the day before. Cooking or baking less the day of is definitely a stress reliever.
Mini Dance Break
When an upbeat holiday song plays, I like to dance around like no one’s watching. The laughter I express and movement I create, makes me a little less stressed and more jolly. There’s nothing like an impromptu Christmas dance break. Below is my new favorite holiday song to dance to. 💃
What do you do to ease your holiday stress?
I hope these tips add to your ways of calming down if you become stressed during the holidays. I hope you have a joy filled holiday, safe and healthy. Thank you for reading and stopping by.🙂❄🎄
Hello! Happy Winter! Winter is officially here and Christmas is right around the corner. As I was using my ornaments for a flat-lay, I gathered them together by color and snapped a few photos. Here are a few photos of my ornaments. 🎄
I use my red, green, and gold ornaments every year. I love decorating with this color scheme for Christmas. When I do Christmas in July, I like to use a different color scheme. I can’t wait to look back on the year in my posts next week before the New Year.
Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift! 2 Corinthians 9:15
I had so much fun with these photos. I’m using the last photo as my wallpaper. I feel much more festive and jolly seeing this photo as often as I have. I hope you have festive wallpaper as well. May you be safe and healthy. Thank you for reading and stopping by. ⛄❄🎄🙂
Hello! Happy Friday! Last year, I picked up a “Love” sign from Dollar tree. I planned on making a sign but never got around to making one until now 😉. When the idea to make a joy sign popped into my head, I jumped to creating one. Filled with joy, I gathered my supplies.
Supplies
Love sign
White paint
Bright Red paint
Paint brush
Scissors
Twine
Cardboard or gift box
Faux pine twigs
Red ribbon
Hot glue
First, I flipped over my sign, removed the ribbon and painted the back. Just in case I would like to use the front as décor in February.
Second, after letting my paint dry, I grabbed a pine twig and bent it into a circle. Then I grabbed a few more, bending them onto the circle until it was full to my liking.
Third, I made a bow from scrap red ribbon and added it to my wreath. I grabbed a used bottom of a gift box and drew my letters backwards onto the glossy side. Then I cut them out and painted them red.
Fourth, I used my hot glue gun to glue my letters and wreath onto the sign.
Fifth, I strang my twine through the holes to hang. I couldn’t help but feel that something was missing, so I made a twine border. I cut my twine to size and glued on the border. Then I cut any extra twine. I’m so happy that I went ahead and added this twine border. It was the perfect addition. ✨
I just love my Joy sign. I’m so happy with how it turned out. I immediately found a place for it on our wall.
And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord: it shall rejoice in his salvation. Psalm 35:9
I hope you enjoyed this DIY. Christmas is right around the corner. I hope you’re safe, well and warm. Thank you for reading and stopping by.😀
