Blogging for Young & Old: Remember Readers Who Have Left

I was going to write a post on another topic, but yesterday I came across an old post of mine, I saw so many likes by my old friends-bloggers that it occured to me that the question of memory is more important than the rest.

Indeed… Esteemed Readers! Our Old readers who have vanished desperately in time. Where have they gone & why? 🙄Blogging is a particular phenomenon. It is vivid, it is alive until you’re alive, until you fill it with your thoughts & feelings, until you wish to share it with others, similar lonely strangers who are googling for something more than e-commerce or services. And older you’re in the blogging universe, more you notice how it changes.

Let’s remember WordPress ten years ago! Well…let’s try😊😂 Oh, all was so quiet, stable & seemed unbreakable like the Great Chinese Wall. No aggressive video content, no AI, the social medias were only beginning. This tranquility & joy made our posts a bit different. And our audience was different too.

Let’s remember our first visitors, readers & followers who seemed to have been for ever, but time proves the opposite… All changes. Our audience comes & goes… Sometimes, in silence, sometimes with excitement or sadness. Well… Anyway, the positive point is that we have met & have shared together some wonderful moments of blogging that already have written in WordPress history & our own. Might they be happy in not-Internet life where we also might meet one day.

Happy Inspiration to All the Blogs! 🎄🎄🎄

Do you have any special recollections about readers who left? Please, share your comments below.

La Gazette Dicember1637: Historical News Today

Esteemed Readers, no matter Christmas & New Year mood, latest tidings of the Thirty Years’ War (1618-1648) miss festive joy. 1637 is one of the most difficult war years. So, the main army duty is to withdraw to winter quarters.  Nevertheless, 1638, a year of hope, is coming! 🎄🎅🌟

S. Quentin, the 25th of December, 1637: “On the 25th of this month thirty five cavalrymen from this garrison guided by Sieur de Bellicourt encountered seventy enemy foot soldiers between Catelet & Cambray who were moving two chariots with provisions to Catelet. They were attacked so swiftly that after a short resistance enemies, who had barricaded themselves between the chariots, surrendered to our (troops). Few were killed, seventeen were wounded while the others were taken as prisoners under the tambour sound… On the French side, Sieur de Bellicourt was wounded in thigh as well as some others, one was killed…”

Westerwald, the 22nd of December, 1637: “On the 18-19 of this month four regiments of Jean de Werth’s army stayed in a small village Cronberg situated in three hours from Limbourg city. On the 20th they passed the Rhin in front of it to go to their winter quarters in Treves region where everybody desired to go as there were some provisions & forage left…”

Cologne, the 1st of January, 1638: ” The States & Nobility of Bergues & Iulliers regions made an agreement concerning winter quarters with Picolomini, but the Camp Marshal Spiring was against. At the same time, they didn’t warn the Duke de Neubourg about it. That’s why Spiring moved to Mulheim where this very Duke asked the Deputies of the States & Nobility (to explain) him the reason of this agreement, but they didn’t come to a settlement. So, seven regiments of General Goeutz arrived to Bergus followed by many others… Four regiments of Jean de Werth also went to winter quarters towards Moselle…”

Happy New Year 1638!🎄🎅🌟🎄🎅🌟

Astrological corner. All about stars: Caph, the Star of Great Leaders

Caph or Beta Cassiopea is a giant star in the constellation of Cassiopeia. It is well seen in the night Christmas sky.

This is an ancient star. It has several names Caph, Chaph & Kaff that derive from Arabic & mean “the stained hand”.  Due to its light & power, this is a very particular star. By lucky chance, it is only about 55 light-years from the Sun, so this is a good destination even for green space travellers.

Astrology pays a special attention to this star, as Caph belongs to great leaders, outstanding personalities who change the course of history. Its allegoric hero is the Count of Monte Christo. It gives incredible forces to win any obstacle & to achieve any goal. In case if its influence is negative, the bearer might become very cruel & aggressive. This star demands developing compassion & optimism in any circumstances as then its positive power will help its bearer to do something definitely good for the world.

Happy Stellar Journey!🌟🎅🎄🌟🎅🎄

Pietro Messia. Encyclopedia “Selva di Varia Lettione”: Miraculous Properties of Natural Elements

In his encyclopedia Pietro Messia tells about miraculous properties of various natural elements:

Properties of natural elements & their miraculous qualities

“As we see a magnet can pick up iron or steel pieces that have the same weight from the ground. This property doesn’t belong to the element itself. It is caused neither with warmth of fire nor with ground aridity. Its origin is a secret force that has the magnet & that connects it with other objects. So, steel touched with it obtains miraculous properties of the magnet. Both of them keep energies of the constellation Ursa Minor.

Other elements: Agaricus purifies phlegm, Rhubarb calms anger, Celandine is good for vision. It is unknown where their qualities come from, but, perhaps, they are in warm qualities of these plants. Jasper & other stones stop bleeding. Anthracite (carbonchio) lights up in the darkness. Jacinth protects from lightening. Turquoise is good not to fall. Diamond is good for pregnant women…”

As we might notice, Esteemed Readers, our ancestors were wise & observant.
