Faryt Kalhil

Faryt Kalhil’s professional journey began in 1985 when he joined AeroThrust Corporation as a mechanic. From his earliest days, he chose to invest in mastering the technical core of aviation. Rather than limiting himself to a single area, Faryt cross-trained and became certified in several specialties, including machinist work, welding inspection, plasma spraying, electroplating, and non-destructive testing.

His drive for improvement didn’t stop there. He later obtained FAA certification as a Powerplant Mechanic and earned recognition as an ISO 9000 Lead Auditor. Additionally, he pursued coaching in quality management, auditing, and executive leadership. For Faryt, these steps weren’t just personal milestones—they were tools to raise the performance and capabilities of the teams around him.

Making an Impact at AeroThrust

Over time, Faryt’s responsibilities at AeroThrust expanded to include management and operational oversight. He worked across technical and administrative functions, helping the company improve its systems and performance. He introduced initiatives to enhance supplier development and applied structured improvement methodologies such as Total Quality Management (TQM), Lean Manufacturing (LFS), World Class Manufacturing (WCM), and ISO 9000. These changes led to more efficient operations and improved organizational alignment.

By 2001, Faryt had moved into executive leadership. First serving as Vice President of Quality, he was later promoted to President of AeroThrust, taking the reins just after the events of 9/11. The aviation industry faced significant challenges during that time, but Faryt responded by leading a full-scale turnaround.

Under his leadership, the company’s revenue grew from $32 million to more than $107 million. He launched the CFM56 engine program and helped secure $190 million in new business. Operational cycle times were cut by 60%, and the company’s internal culture underwent a transformation focused on performance and accountability.

Launching His Own Companies

After two decades with AeroThrust, Faryt chose to build something new. In 2011, he acquired Millennium Engine Associates and founded Global Engine Maintenance (GEM). Starting with $1.2 million in annual revenue, he grew the company to $12.5 million within just two years. By 2019, the company had firmly established itself in the global aviation industry.

As part of that growth, Faryt moved GEM into a modern facility in Doral, Florida, and concentrated its services around the CFM56 engine platform. GEM quickly gained a reputation for quality and reliability, attracting customers from across the globe. Even after he sold his interest in the company, the systems and standards he built remained in place.

Growing Global Turbine Investments

Faryt also founded Global Turbine Investments (GTI) in 2009, a company focused on aviation parts investment and engine asset management. After stepping away from GEM, he dedicated more time to GTI and expanded its global reach. From just a few initial transactions, GTI grew into a trusted player in the aviation asset management space.

The company’s success reflects Faryt’s ability to recognize emerging opportunities and align resources for long-term value. GTI continues to serve clients worldwide and stands as another example of how disciplined execution and practical leadership can build lasting businesses.

Creating SuccessU

In addition to his work in aviation, Faryt launched SuccessU, a coaching and software platform built to support leaders and organizations. As founder and CEO, he brings decades of experience to a new generation of professionals. SuccessU focuses on areas such as strategy, performance, and mindset, offering both structured coaching programs and tested resources.

Through this platform, Faryt works directly with executives, helping them design systems that support sustained growth. His coaching has reached leaders in Latin America and Europe, often delivered in both Spanish and English. He supports Lean/Six Sigma implementations and customizes his approach based on the client’s needs.

He also speaks and coaches on broader topics, including personal power, subconscious reprogramming, neurogenesis, and intentional life design. These ideas inform his leadership style and help shape his workshops, mentoring sessions, and one-on-one coaching engagements.

Educational and Technical Background

Even while working full-time, Faryt pursued formal education. He earned both a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA in each and finishing at the top of his class. Earlier, he earned associate degrees in computer programming and data processing from Miami Dade College. These studies strengthened his analytical and systems-thinking approach.

He holds multiple certifications, including Certified Executive Coach, Certified Quality Manager, and ISO 9000 Lead Auditor. Technically, he remains licensed in electroplating, CNC machining, and as a Powerplant Mechanic. This blend of academic, technical, and leadership experience forms the foundation of his diverse and practical skill set.

Leading with Structure and Discipline

Faryt approaches leadership with a clear focus: create systems that work and help people deliver consistent results. He avoids superficial changes and favors meaningful solutions. When leading teams or guiding organizations, he prioritizes clarity, accountability, and adaptability.

He communicates, stays calm under pressure, and adapts to different environments with ease. His leadership style reflects a balance between firm standards and supportive guidance. He believes in doing the work thoroughly and remaining flexible when circumstances change. His motto, “We do whatever it takes!” speaks to his total commitment to outcomes, not shortcuts.

Motivation and Purpose

Faryt’s work is driven by a deep internal desire to grow, learn, and contribute. He is not motivated by status or external praise but by the chance to build something meaningful and lasting. In every role, from technician to president, from founder to coach, he focuses on adding value in real and lasting ways.

He is known for being present, energized, and encouraging. People who work with him often comment on his steady presence and practical advice. He provides support while expecting follow-through and excellence. These qualities have helped him earn trust and respect across industries and cultures.

Looking Forward

Today, Faryt continues to guide Global Turbine Investments and grow SuccessU. He divides his time between business operations, executive coaching, and public speaking on leadership and growth.

With a record of transformation, a practical mindset, and a focus on people, Faryt Kalhil continues to build and support high-performing teams and businesses. He believes in doing the work that matters and designing systems that endure.
