Felinity Forum

Welcome to the Felinity Forum—a source of knowledge about all things feline.

Volunteering at the Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA (CASPCA) in Virginia over the last seven years has afforded me the opportunity and motivation to learn about cats.  I’m fascinated with these creatures with whom we share our home despite their being an apex predator in their world.  I’ve expanded my interests to include all 41 species of cats alive on Earth today—many you likely have never heard of.  Africa’s smallest feline, the Black Footed Cat (our Home Page Girl above), weighs no more than six pounds but manages to catch its prey 60% of the time—earning her a place in the Guinness World Records as the Most Successful Feline Predator.

As my knowledge about cats increased, CASPCA kindly allowed me to share it with other cat volunteers.  But covid-19 put shelter visits on hiatus so I set about to write a bit about cats.  The result is this blog.
