Crossing ‘swords’,

Or into a world of light.

Messy

Yes, it was a mess, all right. In my defense, I had to gather all the little bits and bobs that were roaming around my backyard and decide whether to keep them or let them go for my new garden design. And all of that thanks to my giant bamboo escape artist.

The bamboo was trying to take over the neighbourhood, so I had it removed completely, with its wiry, incredibly strong roots and all. The frog, the chicken, the bird, and the butterfly survived the purge. 😉 I just can’t seem to part with things that carry a bit of history.

I’ll show you my new backyard in spring, when the greens start growing again. Right now, everything is covered in snow and sleet.

Only the birds read my words

Last week, my bicycle took me to the woods, where I spent a peaceful afternoon typing away on a new novel. And today, I might just do the same. Have a wonderful weekend!
