USCIS has proposed replacing F-1 D/S with fixed admission periods and raised concerns about second master’s degrees at the same level. If I transition to a Day 1 CPT second U.S. master, third overall one master from outside USA, could finalization of these rules during or after my transition negatively affect my F-1 status, Day 1 CPT authorization, or eligibility to pursue the degree, given my current D/S admission?
With an approved EB-2 NIW I-140 but no I-485 filed yet (PD expected current in a few months), is there any risk that ending STEM OPT (valid for one year more) and moving to a Day 1 CPT second U.S. master degree, third overall including one master from outside USA) could later cause USCIS to question F-1 maintenance, view Day 1 CPT as a violation, or require consular processing instead of allowing AOS?
Hi there ,i am on stem opt and i am within unemployment days,I was recently laid off but now have a new job starting Jan 5, and I have the offer letter. Can I travel to India from Dec 8 to Dec 25 and come back without issues? Thanks!
