Holidays 2015

January 19, 2016 by morganpansing

I wanted to share some photos of our holiday season before time completely escapes me…We had such a wonderful, (and slightly chaotic) staycation together…. The kids loved waking up on Christmas morning to a room full of presents, and a note from Santa.  And although Orion goes back and forth on weather or not he really believes in Santa Claus– he seemed to really want to believe, and they both just allowed themselves to be swept up in the magic… […]

Thankful

November 26, 2015 by morganpansing

As I was looking through the past few months of photos I realized there are so many things I don’t want to forget, so on this day that is all about gratitude (and my favorite holiday)–I wanted to be sure to remember some of our beautiful recent moments… After “Star Wars Movie Night” at Orion’s school, when we were getting into the car Orion said “this was the best night of my life”(the gratitude that I have for our incredible local public […]

Confetti Party

October 7, 2015 by morganpansing

Yesterday Kira discovered my stash of confetti that I had hidden months ago.  I had put it away thinking I would save it for something special, and forgotten about it.  I turned around and my kitchen floor was covered in confetti.  My initial instinct was to clean it all up, put it back, and try and save it for some alleged special occasion.  But I caught myself– because an afternoon at home with my kiddos– cooking soup and listening to […]

Goodbye Summer 2015

September 30, 2015 by morganpansing

I couldn’t let September end without a quick recap of our summer spent together… I loved having the kiddos home with me over the summer; I loved our long days, and not having many responsibilities or many places we had to be at a certain time. I loved Scot grilling our early family dinners outside and drinking rosé with friends and neighbors. I loved how much Orion loved his camp.  I loved watching Kira learn to swim, and I loved […]

Happy THIRD Birthday, Kira!

June 8, 2015 by morganpansing

Three years ago I met my match.  She came into the world with ease — completing our family, and bringing endless joy into our lives.  Always a smiling baby, she loved to go everywhere (she spent her first two years attached to me in the Ergobaby), but her spirit is an independent one.  And as she establishes that independence more and more, I strive to let go of control.  She is a free spirit, a wild child, smart and brave, adventurous […]

The One Who Lights Our Way

June 1, 2015 by morganpansing

To the one who lights our way… Happy Birthday Beautiful Boy — six years ago you came into my world and I was forever changed. I’m pretty sure that your birthday / the day I became a mother will forever be the best day of my life. Your entrance shone a light on a part of myself that I never knew existed, and immediately you became my greatest teacher. Over the past six years, I have watched you turn from […]

this week…

March 1, 2015 by morganpansing

As the seasons of my life change, and my role as a mother to my daughter shifts from being one who is needed for survival to one who is needed for release and allowance (i.e. she started preschool), I am struck once again to my core by the heartbreak of what it is to be a parent.. But at the same time filled to the brim with gratitude in the deepest of ways that I get to lead this beautiful […]

a portrait a week

January 30, 2015 by morganpansing

I’m going to attempt to do a portrait a week of each of my children every week in 2015.. Even though I didn’t manage to make every week in 2014, it was so fun to look back and see how much they’ve grown… Here are our first portraits of 2015– better late than never right?  Happy Friday! XOXO

leftover from 2014

January 18, 2015 by morganpansing

I’m attempting to be  bit more organized with my photos this year.  As I was looking through some photos from the past few months, I realized there are a few moments from last year that I didn’t want to forget: * Our pajama dance parties, Orion and Kira’s love for music, and our new record player (I’m starting to believe that a good record might forever be our family cure-all)… * Kira’s love of all things pink (and really her […]

farewell 2014

December 30, 2014 by morganpansing

What an amazing, beautiful, powerful, and busy year 2014 was for us! It was the year we came home, reconnected with our incredible Los Angeles community, forged new friendships and deepened old friendships.  It was also the year Orion started kindergarten, lost his first tooth, learned how to read, and the year Kira found her voice, and her dancing feet.  It was the year I began to plant the seeds for my photography business, and the year Scot was the […]
