Traffic

Let’s start again with another cafe in Bandung. This one’s called Traffic. Located in Jalan Pasteur 11A, right below the Pasupati Flyover. Yesterday was actually my second time to visit this cafe since the first one I didn’t have the chance to take photos.

The place was kinda cozy, especially the sofa spots (which are my favorites). Luckily, I went there in the afternoon yesterday so it wasn’t too crowded. But in my first visit (which was in the evening), it was pretty crowded. But overall it was okay.

Then move forward to the menu. Yesterday I ordered Cheesy Meat Balls Baked Rice and Ice Capucinno. They’re actually the ‘Lunch Promo’ menu which worth 35K. I upgraded the drink though. If you order ice lemon tea, they’re only worth 30K. But in spite of the promo, the baked rice was actually alright. I ordered it too in my first visit. But the portion of the promo is obviously smaller than the regular one.

Actually I went there with 3 of my friends. They ordered Ice Lychee Tea with extra Jelly, Strawberry Lychee Fresh Juice, Potato Wedges with Tartar Sauce, and Vanilla Cookies Milkshake. Sorry for the lack of photos because I only took a photo of the Vanilla Cookies Milkshake. I was totally forgot ๐Ÿ˜

Overall, I think this place is all good. Affordable price and good ambiance. They also serve some beers and desserts (since their tagline is ‘coffee-beer-kitchen’). The thing that I don’t really like about this place is the lack of parking spots. Maybe because they share the lot with the beer point next to it. But I like this place so far.

Now we’re moving to my second home, Bandung! I stay here mostly on weekdays so there’ll be many posts about Bandung ๐Ÿ˜€

For example, last week, I had lunch with 3 of my friends on Royal Stag Bistro. It’s a new cafe in Bandung, located specifically in Dago Atas; which is very close to my dorm. I knew this place from a friend of mine (once again).

The first two words that popped in my head when I arrived was fancyย andย vintage.ย The space was pretty huge and the interior was very very very classic vintage. Expensive classic vintage. There were horns hanging on the wall and numbers of vintage chandeliers hanging above as the most eye-catching decorations.

Moving on to the menu. The four of us ordered variety of dishes. I ordered Coronation Chicken (chicken fillet in curry sauce with almond sprinkled, butter rice, and sauteed veggies). It tasted fine. Not that good because I don’t really like curry sauce. I ordered this for the butter rice, honestly. Two of my friends ordered Grilled Butterfly Chicken; it’s like a chicken steak with mushroom gravy and sauteed veggies. But they picked different kinds of potatoes. One was mashed, when the other was fried. This was the best dish that we ordered. The last one my friend ordered Angel on Horseback; which I forgot to take pictures of because we were amazed by its presentation. Beyond out imagination. It was three slices of beef bacon and thick block of mozzarella cheese, each stabbed with a toothpick. We were like, really? The taste wasn’t even that good (for us).

And.. oh, the drinks. The most standout drink we ordered was Oreo Milkshake. Yeah, ordinary Oreo Milkshake, as we know it, but it tastes different. Like, really smooth. You can’t barely taste the Oreo sprinkles. I don’t know maybe they blended it to the max or what.

My conclusion for this bistro was.. quite expensive? Compared to other places in Bandung, they set a pretty high standard for the prices. But honestly I wasn’t really into the dishes. I probably have to order their steak next time to breaks this early hypothesis.

Blumchen Coffee

A few weeks ago, I had an appointment to meet someone around Senopati/SCBD. Since I was kinda bored with malls and cafes in Senopati, I decided to hop into a coffee shop in SCBD. I’ve heard about this coffee shop from my friend before but I always forget the name ๐Ÿ˜€
So.. I entered this coffee shop named Blumchen Coffee. My first impression was.. VESPA! Well.. I mean like, I was stunned by its interior design because there was a vespa. And I fancy vespas. They also put another vintage and unique props like, red telephone booth (the one that will reminds you of London), vintage telephone and typewriter, etc. I just instantly fell in love with the interior.

What I ordered there was, again, hazelnut latte. The hot one this time (but you will probably get bored because I almost always order latte or cappuccino; since they’re my only favorite coffees). Anyway, I also got myself a chocolate croissant because I was craving for sweets. It tasted pretty good, actually. I’m not sure if I was just hungry or if it was really good but the thing is, I like it. Sadly, there were small amounts of choices for sweets, despite those many choices for the drinks. No cakes, which was so unfortunate.

Another good thing about this place is the scent. The coffee scent was extremely great! I love the smell of coffee and they put sacks of coffee beans next to the front door, so that definitely a plus.

Sebastian Coffee

I’m gonna start with the latest coffee shop I visited. Sebastian Coffee, which located in South Jakarta. Definitely not a newbie in the world of coffee shop but I have only visited it twice.

Not as huge as Starbucks but pretty decent as a meeting point. I like the ambiance because it’s not very crowded. Probably because it is not located in the center of ย ‘happening places in Jakartasuch as Kemang or Senopati, but that’s a good thing.ย The fact that it is not that far from where I live is quite shameful for me ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

I ordered 3 items from the menu. Ice hazelnut latte, french fries, and one non-coffee drink but I forgot the name (Sour blablabla, I guess). But I remember it was a lemon-lychee-strawberry mixed drink. The drinks were okay but the french fries was actually pretty good. I really like it. I guess they put some salt and pepper on the fries to make it tastier. That made me order another bowl of french fries that night.

The prices are quite reasonable, which is another plus for them. They also serve other dishes from lite bites to pizzas and pastas but I haven’t tried any of them yet, so I’ll definitely have to stop by here another time.

A Capital HELLO.

HELLO EVERYONE.

This. Finally. I made a blog (actually because most of my friends told me to do this). Since they probably kinda fed up about my postings on Path or Instagram every time I visit any cafes or coffee shops.

Well, I honestly don’t do well in reviewing. I enjoy taking photographs than writing. But I’ll work my ass off on this but don’t expect anything ๐Ÿ˜€

I don’t know who’s gonna read this blog, but fuck it, I’ll greet everyone anyway ๐Ÿ™‚
