Sim Kwang Yang — dikenali umum dan digelar sebagai “SKY” — adalah seorang tokoh besar: patriot, Ahli Parlimen dan ahli politik yang berakhlak tinggi. Mendiang SKY mempertahankan Sarawak dan seluruh Malaysia, termasuk tanah adat, dan terutamanya orang asal dan mereka yang dianiayai, dengan penuh berani dan bersemangat. Beliau seorang penulis karya yang bernas, berilmu dan menyengat. SKY juga kawan baik saya.
Kebetulan? Saya rasa tidak! Saya sudah lupa pertemuan pertama kami, berdekad dulu. Kami menjalinkan persahabatan, semakin lama semakin rapat, sehingga kematian SKY tahun 2014. SKY seorang teman yang meriangkan, dan menarik hati saya kerana kami boleh sembang-sembang ringan, do samping juga membincangkan perkara-perkara intelektual dan karya sastera.
